'THE' Stall Team to have?

Heavy Offense and Weather teams are just too cliche'! TOO EFFING CLICHE'! I mean, every other person i battle is running a Politoed followed by the exact old rain team i've seen over a million times! So i wanted something different! Something new! It started off as a normal team that worked together great but the more i battled with it, and made changes, overtime, is became what it is today; A PRETTY DAMN STRONG STALL TEAM! If played right, this team can take on anything! This team maintains an over 75% Win Rate! This team does however have weaknesses and i'd like all of you to help me fix that problem! This team lacks a strong Special Attacker for example! ;/

Team at a glance....

In Depth Look....

sableye.jpg

Sableye @ Leftovers
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 120 DEF / 136 Sp. Def
Careful Nature (+Sp. Def, -Sp. Attck)
- Taunt
- Recover
- Confuse Ray
- Will-O-Wisp

My scouting lead! Sableye is a MUST HAVE for any stall team! With it's decent defences and recover, it can stay in for days! And if your opponent isn't that experienced, Sableye can even KO a 2 or 3 Pokemon! If i'm sure the opponent's going to go for rocks or set up, i go for the taunt. If my opponent is a physical attacker, i go for the burn followed by a confuse ray, taking control of the momentum of the match! I used to run toxic on Sableye too but Confuse Ray seemed to be more effective!

forretress.jpg

Forretress @ Rocky Helmet
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 Sp. Def
Careful Nature (+Sp. Def / -Sp. Attck)
- Stealth Rocks
- Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Explosion

Forretress is my Physical Wall. I switch into him when my opponent switches into Ferrothorn or any other thing who i know Forretress can take for days (and trust me, it's quite often that i face such Pokemon). I go directly for Rocks and Spikes. If my opponent doesn't have a spinner on his team and if the Pokemon I'm up against takes neutral damage from Normal attacks and isn't bulky, i'll explode! Mostly, i save my Forretress for later.

blissey.jpg

Blissey @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Bold Nature ( +Def / -Attck )
- Softboiled
- Toxic
- Flamethrower
- Thunder

Blissey is just a monster. With the Bold nature, it can even take Physical attacks for days! I use this baby as my main wall. I try to get the Toxic up first if the foe is a wall or a Special Attacker. If the foe is a wall, he also wastes a turn in trying to poison/burn me, not knowing i have the Natural Cure ability. I also switch in to Blissey when i know the foe's going to use a status afflicting move! I use Blissey as my Lead against ALL rain teams! It forces my opponent to switch their Politoed leads and over 90% of the times, they switch into ferrothorn and i switch into something accordingly too, predicting this; Forretress to set up or D-nite for a two EQ KO. Thunder is to make use of the rain and Falmethrower for Scizors and Ferrothorns in NON-RAIN teams. 2HKO. I can predict it very easily! People mostly send out Scizors against Blissey if they have one! Also, this baby can take Draco Meteors for days! B|

milotic.jpg

Milotic @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 248 Def / 4 Sp. Def / 4 Spd
Bold Nature ( +Def / -Attck )
- Recover
- Hidden Power (Grass)
- Ice Beam
- Scald

Milotic is BULK! Milotic can act as a pretty damn solid wall and also put up an offense too (although weak). Milotic can counter Heatrans EXTREMELY efficiently! Forces the opponent to switch. Scizors are no match too! I used to run Hypnosis on this guy but it was very unefficient so i put in HP Grass, although weak, it does help against Quagsires and Gastrodons, both a common sight in the OU Metagame!

dragonite.jpg

Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Attck / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature ( +Attck / -Sp. Attck )
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- EarthQuake
- ExtremeSpeed

This guys acts as a revenge killer at times but mostly, i send him in when i know i can set up! I set up 2 DDances and then its a sweep from there! Pretty common set! I don't think a lot of description is required!

tyranitar.jpg

Tyranitar @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Attck / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Super Power
- Fire Punch
- Ice Punch

This thing surprises almost everyone! I have him sitting in the 1st place in my team to play what you can call, a mind game! ;P The opponent thinks im running a sand team and it definitely messes up his thought process, OR SOMTHING! :P Haha, anyways! T-tar is my revenge killer and i use him according to the situation!

Aaaaaand, this is it! I'm looking forward to any kind of criticism! Please Rate my team and help me improve it. Thankyou! =)

Hi welcome to Smogon.

This team looks interesting. I find it more of Semi-Stall team.

Any chance would you be interested in using Sableye with a Focus Sash. I know Sabeye's defensive are good at best and you may find him getting him unexpectedly KO'ed. Also with T-Tar do you ever have to use his early game, because sand storm could really wear down you team.

You may want to get Dragonite to be a bit more defensive for the type of team you Wang. May want to change up the EVs and throw roost in.

Milotic is a odd guy here. Have you ever tested with jellicent?

That is all I have for now. Hope I helped.

@BattleStar, Yes, that does happen with Sableye but VERY VERY VERY rarely! Andd my experience tells me that the little amount of HP i get back from leftovers, saves my ass a lot of times!

I always try use T-tar as late as i can! T-tar can help me mess up rain and sun teams too! I use him early on only when i'm in REALLY deep shyt.

You're right! I should change the EVs for Dragonite! And i will! Any suggestions about the new spread? Which attack should i sack for Roost? :/ I kindof NEED the 3 attacks mt D-nite carries.

Yes, I have considered Jellicent but it has weak defense. Milotic on the other hand is BEAST, as i've mentioned! :P And i recently altered Milotic's EV spread to take it's Sp. Attck up to 260, sacrificing some HP. It 2HKOs bulky water types.
But Jellicent is ghost type too so it is automatically safe from fighting and normal attacks! Also, it does cover in HP what is lacks in defense! But Milotic's HP is only a TINY WEE bit lower than Jellicent's. :/ I'll do more research on this.

I've been thinking about running a choice scarfed Metagross instead of the T-tar. I don't know why! :/ I used to run Scarfed Infernape but i wanted something TOTALLY out-of-the-blue that could hit hard too! Should i get Metagross? If not, should i switch Jolly T-tar to Adamant T-tar?

@Artemis
I wish i knew what you were talking about! -__-'

ALSO, WHAT ABOUT SLOWBRO??? O.O HE'D DO GREAT!!

???
There are quite a few things I have against this post.
1. Sableye is fine as it is. BS obviously doesn't know how to use Sableye :*/
2. You SHOULD use ttar early game. If your team is stall, damaging weather is best unleashed ASAP (in most situations.) your team has plenty of access to recovery so it shouldn't be a problem.
3. Your team isn't as stall as you say it is. You lack a solid defensive core and rely on a sweeper to do work for you. I'm seeing another cliche sand team, just unique in that you don't have a terrakion.

You seem a bit lost. I'll help the best I can. To keep your team centered around stall, there are some minor changes I think you should make.

(sorry about the double post)
1. Sableye needs a better set. Change the lefties to Lagging tail.
~Trick
~foul play
~swagger
~recover/twave
The 'trick' to using this set is to come in and trick. Then, swagger your opponent, and proceed to foul play your opponent to death. Twave can be used to cripple the opponent even further and overall aid your team. This set is really hard to overcome, and a great addition to stall teams because of its parafusing nature.
2. Blissey also needs new moves. Thunder isn't the best move in a sand team :/
~Wish
~protect
~toxic
~ seismic toss/heal bell
Toxic stall Blissey- the total opposite of what her nurse like stature makes you believe. Toxic+Sandstorm will wear away your opponent fast as he/she struggles to hit past your protect. Wish is to aid your teammates, as recovery is valuable for stall and allows your Blissey to troll much longer. ST can be used to bypass taunt, but heap bell is better IMO to beat opposing stall.
3. Milotic needs Dragon tail over HP grass. This allows you to abuse hazards set up by Forre, and is a general go to move for weather stall. Your opponent will be forced to switch out, giving you a turn to hit the opposition, or double switch into another pokemon.

That's all I have for now. Your team is great; it just had a couPle of holes that needed to be fixed.
Once again, welcome to smogon, and good luck!
Side note- don't abuse exclamation marks. They make your text painful to read.

You're right! This team isnt a stall team. It started out as one though. But the matches were boring so ive transformed this into a stall+HO mixture kindof thing without realising. And its not a bloody sandstorm team.

Ive replaced ttar with metagross (scarfed) because it just outranks ttar and i didnt really need the storm.

Ive altered EVs for Milotic and Blissey to be a little more offensive.

@dt, i like your idea for foul play on sableye! But all the moves i have on him, ive grown VERY accustomed to and i NEED them. :/

Yo, this is a pretty legit SS team. To improve your Milotic, I suggest using the OU RestTalk set in the on site analysis but replace Scald with Ice Beam. I would use Outrage and Roost instead of Earthquake and Dragon Claw on Dragonite. Sableye should run 8 speed EVs to outpace other Sableye. You could also try Trick + Lagging tail to make your opponent's revenge killer/setup sweeper useless. I hope this helps! :P
