So this is my first ever RMT. I'm new to UU and I'm finding the metagame here to be much more challenging than OU. With such a wide variety of pokes running around out there it's nearly impossible to know what to expect. So here is my team.
Houndoom is usually the last pokemon that comes out. Depending on what he comes out on he endures or NPs. Flash fire is great because if used right gives flamethrower great power after just one NP. Salac berry is for the extra speed. His one weakness though is priority moves, I hate getting a NP or two off and having the Salac berry activate only to get hit with a priority attack. However he has swept entire teams and I don't think I would ever take him off of the team.
All in all this team relies on the two fire dogs. This is an almost a purely offensive team which stops other teams from setting up and running rampant. I know it has it's flaws but it's won me my most UU victories by far. Any suggestions though will be greatly appreciated.
At a glance
Lead: Butterfree
Item: Choice Scarf
Ability: Compound Eyes
Nature: Timid
EVs: 248 HP/8 Def/252 Spe
Moves
U-turn
Sleep Powder
Stun Spore
Bug Buzz
So as you can see Butterfree's job is to put them to sleep or paralyze them. He doesn't mind being tricked at all. Compound eyes gives him a 97.5% accurate status inducers. Scarf, timid nature and the speed EVs make sure he outruns everything but Electrode. Def EVs so he can survive the priority attacks. U-turn is for the random Arcanine leads with lum berry. Bug Buzz incase I have to actually fight
Hazard/Spinner: Donphan
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 HP/188 Att/68 Def
Moves
Stealth Rock
Rapid Spin
Ice Shard
Earthquake
As you can see Donphan's job is to set up and get rid of entry hazards. He is also a powerful attacker and has some great defense. He has scored me at least one KO every game. He is pretty helpful when Swellows come around. I don't know what I would do with out this tiny elephant.
Revenge Killer: Arcanine
Item: Choice band
Ability: Flash fire
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Att/4 Def/252 Spe
Moves
Extreme Speed
Flare Blitz
Thunder Fang
Crunch
Good ol' Arcanine, one of my favorite pokes. First off I picked choice band over life orb for two reasons, More power and no recoil. Arcanine is only revenge killing so I figured CB was better and so far it has helped out. Flash fire is over intimidate for a few reasons, one I love switching in on WoW and getting that boost. The second is mind games, every time I've ever switched in on WoW my opponent sends out there Arcanine expecting a flare blitz, instead they find a crunch and a severely hurt Arcanine. Suprisingly this plan hasn't failed me yet.
Mixed Sweeper: Sharpedo
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Rough Skin
Nature: Hasty
EVs: 252 Att/4 SpAtt/252 Spe
Moves
Crunch
Hydro Pump
Ice Beam
Earthquake
Sharpedo is a great mixed sweeper, though I'm not sure he has a place on this team, though he has done a good job so far. His EVs give him max attack and speed and a little boost on the sp. attack. Not much to say about him as I put him on the team to cover a spot, so any suggestions would be nice.
The Wall: Milotic
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
Nature: Bold
EVs: 248 Hp/252 Def/8 Spe
Moves
Surf
Ice Beam
HP Grass
Recover
Milotic has so far proved to be a great wall and a good sp. attacker. He has saved me plenty of times, especially against Venusaurs. It's your basic Milotic and there isn't a whole lot to say about it but it does what it's meant to do and it does it great.
The Surprise Special Sweeper: Houndoom
Item: Salac Berry
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 Sp. Att/4 Def/252 Spe
Moves
Flamethrower
Dark Pulse
Nasty Plot
Endure
