Dragonite can drop the defensive utility of Altarianite in favor of a more offensive set-up sweeper, using it's already good attack stat boosted by Pinsirite as well as Multiscale pre-mega in order to maul defensive staples like Arceus-Water, Hippowdon, and Ho-Oh that the Altarianite set with struggle with, while still keeping it's revenge-killing prowess for Urshifu-R and Spectrier. Salamencite is also a good option if a teammate is already using Pinsirite, as it still gives Aerialate as well as a boost to Dragonite's defense, which can come in handy with setting up. Earthquake lets Dragonite deal with Pokemon like Magearna, Pecharunt, and Garganacl that would give this set major trouble. Fire Punch prevents Dragonite from being completely countered by Corviknight and Latiasite variants of Magearna, while Facade allows Dragonite to abuse the fact that it’s prone to burns from Arceus-Water and Milotic, as well as poison from Pecharunt and Eternatus as an advantage to deal major damage. If your team needs more longevity from Dragonite, Roost can be used in order to keep Dragonite healthy in the spam of longer games. This variant of Dragonite is heavily favored on offensive teams due to it’s Stealth Rock weakness and more offensive nature. It is because of this Stealth Rock weakness that Dragonite appreciates Pokemon like Great Tusk and Regieleki to remove it, or Sablenite users like Swampert and Magearna to reflect them in order to keep it’s Multiscale pre-mega. Swampert and Magearna in particular can set Stealth Rock and Spikes for Dragonite respectively, wearing down it’s checks like defensive Arceus forms, Great Tusk, and Raging Bolt in order for it to sweep later. They also help in checking any Altarianite Extreme Speed users like Arcanine-Hisui, Regieleki, and opposing Dragonite, preventing them from revenge-killing it. Pokemon like Entei, Urshifu-R, and Great Tusk can also help in wearing down these Pokemon, as they can break down these walls for Dragonite to sweep, and vice versa.
