THE UNBEATABLE DUO (sort of)

Hi this team is purely based on my desire to try out Mega Aggron, because well.... do I really need to explain it?

He Don't Care (Aggron) @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 176 Def / 252 HP / 80 Atk
Adamant Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Dragon Tail
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

This is him, the indomitable wall. With stealth rock he phazes with DTail and Heavy Slam kills fairies (who are immune to Dtail) and is STAB and hits like a truck. For an indicator on how good this guy is here is some calculations:
252+ Atk Talonflame Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 176 Def Filter Mega Aggron: 103-123 (29.9 - 35.7%) -- 30.8% chance to 3HKO
252+ Atk Lucario Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 176 Def Filter Mega Aggron: 126-150 (36.6 - 43.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Atk Mold Breaker Excadrill Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 176 Def Mega Aggron: 164-194 (47.6 - 56.3%) -- 84.8% chance to 2HKO
252+ Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 176 Def Filter Mega Aggron: 118-141 (34.3 - 40.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Those are some pretty big physical boogeyman. Without STAB they would be barely tickling Aggron. If the move they plan on taking him out is coverage then good luck.

Don't Care Either (Goodra) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Gooey
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Fire Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Dragon Pulse

My special tank and a half. He laughes off the special hits that make Mega Aggron cower in fear. He also hits pretty hard with full investment, to showcase his defensive prowess here are some more calcs.:

252 SpA Life Orb Protean Greninja Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Goodra: 151-182 (39.3 - 47.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Starmie Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Goodra: 78-92 (20.3 - 23.9%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Dragon Pulse vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Goodra: 166-198 (43.2 - 51.5%) -- 6.3% chance to 2HKO

Again, special boogeyman are not doing too much to Goodra. and Fire Blast, thunderbolt, and dragon pulse dispatch the three of them cleanly. In addition his movepool provides pretty perfect coverage.

Moist Towelette (Vaporeon) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Heal Bell
- Wish
- Scald
- Protect

Wish passer, heal bell user. Provides a stellar water immunity and all of waters great resistances, And well scald is scald. Goodra needs the heal bell and my team likes the wish passing, and these wishes are big.

Beezlebub (Scizor) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off
- Superpower
- U-turn

Standard banded scizor. This guy is my fairy puncher and the U-turn is "free" damage. I opted for knock off instead of Pursuit because it seems like everyone and their mother is using it. However the lack of staying power is starting to get me and would like to know if there are any other viable alternatives.

BIRDTACOFLYY (Tornadus-Therian) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Atk
Hasty Nature
- Air Slash
- Heat Wave
- Focus Blast
- U-turn

Now. THIS GUY is the Bee's KNEES! Invested air slash slices through teams like no tomorrow and his blisteringly quick U-turn gets me to my required wall. Heat Wave and Focus Blast provide fantastic coverage. The only problem I have is my awful luck and missing my heat waves and air slashes.

Tire (Donphan) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Shard

Puts rocks up and tears rocks down. I wanted Earthquaker and another priority user and that left me with our favorite little tire elephant. He is the only guy that kills Heatran dead, (which is a problem) and this guy also is a solid switch in when they threaten out vaporeon and tornadus with zappers.

This team has been doing pretty good thus far the only massive issue I have been having is with ScarftHeatran. Suggestions are appreciated.

Love the look of the team. At a glance it seems pretty solid, it is very slow and bulky based rather than set up sweeper based. Goodra is standard, youve done the calcs, and is looking like a good coverage tank that can chip off many different types of pokes. Vaporeon works well as a wishing, heal belling wall with scald, however if it were me, I would replace protect with baton pass due to his low speed and the guaranteed increased longevity to the tanks on your team, but protect is still fine. Scizor and tornadus-t are both pretty solid sweepers however I worry that they do not have enough power as the only sweepers because none can set up; swords dance scizor with a life orb outclasses banded scizor after a boost severely. Donphan is standard lead and spinner, and mega aggron is a beast, however I would switch heavy slam for iron head and adamant to impish, but judging from your calcs he already does well, as long as he starts his dragon tailing shenanigans after donphan has set up hazards. Solid.

I know a thing or two about scizor and while the Oh so standard bandzor has his moments in the sun, the set that has always been consistent for me and has the most staying power is the bulky SD set...however I use mega scizor because he gets insane bulk increases but it would still work fine without them here it is.
Scizor
item: Life Orb/Leftovers
Ability Technician
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 SpD
Swords Dance
Roost
Bullet Punch
Bug Bite/U-turn/Knock Off/ Pusuit

Keep in mind this is my mega scizor set, but it still is very bulky and can handle anything except fire types. The life orb or lefties depends on if you want to hit harder or stay in longer, i would probably recommend life orb. lol for the fourth move slot I still have no idea I have tried them all but I just cant find the perfect one, the first two ate nice stabs but u-turn probably isnt the best if you are setting up. Knock Off is everywhere right now and with good reason, but anyway just pick one you like and try it.

As for your heatran problem I dont think I have ever seen a scarfed heatran but your donphan should be able to deal with him. If not change out your tonrnadus for a Lando-T with life orb and intimidate, that would be a perfect thing to add to your team. Yeah you should do that here is the set

Landorus-T (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Intimidate
EV's: 4 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
-Rock Polish
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
- Focus Blast

This isnt my set but it also is a great sweeper after just one rock polish and hits a lot with StoneQuake, and you get to keep the focus blast coverage it just wont hit quite as hard but it shouldnt matter.

Hello, first thanks for suggestions. I was thinking of using iron head but the only reason I use heavy slam over iron head is this:
80+ Atk Mega Aggron Heavy Slam (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Azumarill: 243-286 (60.1 - 70.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
80+ Atk Mega Aggron Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Azumarill: 162-192 (40 - 47.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
I want the 2HKO on azumarill that way he doesn't have to take TWO belly drummed hits. Baton Pass seems like a good idea for Vaporeon and I will try it out but the ability to reliably heal my vaporeon when it wishes seems important.

And MegaScizor's MegaScizor (very fitting), I was thinking about doing a bulky swords dance set. I am probably going to run it with lefties and knock off (maybe, I don't know I haven't decided). And with the Heatran problem I have just sent out Vaporeon and then grind him down until its their last mon' and then eventually I kill it. (usually).
So far the team has been doing well, around 22-5 but I think the swords dance Scizor will be better. Cheers.

Started using the scizor and it has been working like a charm, undefeated since.
