ORAS OU The Underdog returns ft.MegaMeta (max-peak 1634)

Hey guys... back im back with another RMT.
I made an HO team a while back and a fren fixed it a bit and this is the produce(wut?)
Anyways i had lots of fun wt this team and i figured that i'll post it here nd help improve it :] .
Advice, advice, advice i need all the advice i cn.

So i started out with the GOD metagross and the lil pony keldeo. these two synergises so well, hence, i picked it.

(imagine a raikou here)+(imagine a landorus-T here)
to finish off the core i added raikou as it patches up the weaknesses shared by meta nd keldeo.
then with some suggestions i added defensive landorus-T as it deals with sandrushdrillers, burd spam and physical mons in general...
461.gif
then i added weaville, such an amazing offensive threat.whats that?its frail?WHO CARES?IT HITS HARD, IT OUTSPEEDS YOU, IT OHKO's YOU AHHHA. also chosen for being able to pursuit trap lati-twins and starmie
latest
i finally added lovely latios to the squad as it has good offensive presence and also can defog those nasty hazardz

ONTO THE TEAM

Chrome-Strike (Metagross) @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body-->Tough Claws
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
- Hammer Arm
- Rock Polish
Man this pokemon, such a monster.
  • Great Ability? check
  • Great Attack stat?check
  • Great defences?check
  • Great Speed tier?check
This pokemon has all it takes to be one great pokemon in the OU metagame and it is S rank for all the good reasons.
Its defences are also pretty solid, evn if u dont invest much in its defences its still able to take some hits.
Though upon mega evolving it gains ultimate speed and crap it still retains that slow 70 base during the turn it mega evolves meaning its swicthes are limited
Anyways i chose this pokemon mainly for its ability to clean up late-game soo well and also smacking those stupid fairies which ruin my day.

MOVE ANALYSIS :
  • Meteor Mash: Very self-explainatory STAB + chance to boost yur atk is nice but tht 10% chance to miss :[
  • Zen Headbutt: Again a pretty obvious choice on metagross
  • Hammer Arm: This spot was initially EQ but i figuired hammer arm cn help with ferrothorn and also gets the tough claws boost so yeahh.
  • (the great)Rock Polish: Oh this move changes everything once the stage is set metagross cn just come in on, for example:latias and use RP and murder the who else wishes to live in the late-game
keldeo.gif

647.png
Tony (Keldeo) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Electric]
Oh keldeo keldeo keldeo. This ponymon(hehe) is so good, sure it has very limited movepool and shiz but very few pokemons enjoy switching into this ponymon with its choice specs
Enough with the lame ponymon jokes anyways i chose this cuz it synergises so well with metagross, making for a great offensive core.
Keldeo is usually SubCM when paired with metagross but metagross as a whole is RP so i figured i'd change keldeo's set as well.
With its choice spec it hits very hard 2hko'ing clefable, with the all-mighty hydro pump, which is usually a switch-in for keldeo.
It also helps with the team's general weakness to scizor and bisharp.

MOVE ANALYSIS:
  • Scald : STAB+30%chance to burrn oh wow i'll be here all night
  • Hydro Pump : STAB with moar prower with cost of acc but who cares
  • Secret Sword : Mandatory for any sort of pony like keldeo cuz it strikes down yur defences with its special power WOW!
  • Hidden Power Electric : Initially ther ws the common icy wind here but after some testing a fren told to change it to HP electric cuz team ws pretty weak to gyardos at +1. And so this powny cn just smack it on the switch or just faint it if it dares to set up...
raikou.gif

243.png

Raiden (Raikou) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Calm Mind
I eventually added raikou to the squad just to complete the core of Meta+Keldeo+Raikou.
Adding raikou helps patch up the weaknesses shared both by keldeo and metagross like talonflame and slowbro.
Raikou also is the first part of the volt-turn core for some momentum.
Also is a good late-game cleaner thanks to its superior speed and decent sp.atk.
I initially had AV raikou for soaking in all tht sp.atks but aftr suggestions i changed it to CM+3 atks raikou.
As it helps in breaking down stall teams
Also if the team also has like spdef heatran for raikous they're in for some trouble...
Chose lefties cuz that lil hp can matter yeah?
It wont sound good but it has pulled out in certain situations so yeahh
MOVE ANALYSIS
  • Thunderbolt: Obvious choice
  • Volt switch: For the momentum and is great to have if the certain pokemon learns it.
  • Hidden Power Ice: Another obvious choice on electric for those ground/dragons etc etc
  • Calm Mind: As mentioned before it breaks down stall teams, after certain pokemon are weakened and stuff

Hugh (Landorus-Therian) (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature

IVs: 29 Spe
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock

Ah what do you know its the smogonlion.
After suggestions I had to chose defensive landorus-T mainly bc my team gets rekt by excadrill and jolly-bandflame and mega-loppuny nd physical pokemons in general.
29 ivs is run to get a slow u-turn against opposing landorus-t and other u-turn-ers?
I chose rocky helmet cuz it cn help weaken those physical mons cuz it'll prolly hurt itself more than hurting lando, looking at you excadrill...
Also needed a sr setter so Landorus-t fit perfectly.

I need to keep landorus-t as healthy as possible when battling physical-powerhouses like charX megagross loppuny talonflame etc.

MOVE ANALYSIS
  • Earthquake: Obvious choice on groundies
  • Stone edge: For the burds and stuffz and Mega Pinsirs which are annoying
  • U-turn: to complete that volt-turn core and for pivoting out
  • Stealth Rock: Mandatory hazards is mandatory
weavile.gif

461.png

Krum (Weavile) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Icicle Crash

- Knock Off
- Pursuit

- Ice Shard
WEAVILLE this pokemon single handedly takes down most pokemon in the higher ranks (A+ A etc).
I initially had low kick instead of pursuit for opposing weavilles, T-Tars heatran and bisharps.
But having pursuit allows keldeo to fire of powerful scalds much easily as pursuit traps in the lati-twins and starmie and also cn deal huge amounts damage to slowbro and OHKOs tornadus-T, and knock-off as a move itself is great to have on a team.

Also has prioritehh which is handeh at times especially if its ice.
Life orb is a pretty obvious choice for all - all-out attacking mons

MOVE ANALYSIS
  • Icicle Crash: Main Ice STAB move cn be replaced for ice punch but i like more power and dat chance to flinch although that 10% miss chance is a pain.
  • Knock Off: Why wouldn't you use this amazing move
  • Pursuit: As mentioned before its very handy to have pursuit when u hav a mon like keldeo so u cn get rid of pokemons which wall keldeo like starmie, lati-twins, celebi etc
  • Ice Shard: Mandatory priority is mandatory.
latios.gif

381.png

Jake (Latios) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Levitate

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Draco Meteor

- Psyshock
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Defog

To finish things off, after some suggestions, i chose to use latios as it can defog those nasty hazards.
And who doesn't love to drop a draco? eh? eh?
Also is chosen because it checks and KO's keldeo(sorta).
Its speed-tier also pretty good although its hindered by HP fire but eh wuddevr.
Expert belt> lifeorb as life orb just weakens ya time by time and defog may be important late-game.True it makes latios much more weaker but evereything comes at a price.
Also checks ZardY but cnt really switch into it much since sun boosted fire blasted takes out just over half.

MOVE ANALYSIS
  • Draco Meteor: DROP A DRAAAACOOO (and latios' main STAB ATK)
  • Psyshock: Main psychic STAB on latios
  • Hidden Power Fire: Good coverage although it does hinder the speed it does lure in bisharps, scizors, and ferrothorns so i guess its worth(bish needs to be weaknend to be KO'd be HP fire, ferrothorn cn take a hit anyway)
  • Defog: Mandatory hazard removal is mandatory
Aaand there it is my team :]
Any suggestions will be acknowledged :D

Click on the second folder which says threatlist
sry for the glitch D:
282-m.png

I have absolutely no switch in what-so-ever for the lady wit the gown i usually have to sac some mon before weaville or metagross cn come in .

AsvQNus.png

I need to make my plays carefully when facing opposing loppuny's, this is also the main reason i gave lando-t rocky helmet cuz the more its weakened the easier i cn win

598.png

Ferrothorn is more annoying to this team rather than a threat or wuddevr. Sur i hv specs keldeo HP fire on lati and hammer arm specifically on metagross for this spike weird thing.
I usually have to bluff that metagross doesnt hav hammer arm(by swiitching out) or switch in latios and DEFOG instead of HP fire im not sure if that the best way though :[
635.png
What the on earth is hydreigon doing here? Well my whole team eats it for lunch :]
(JOKE APPARENTLY LOL)

This a real problem to the team, sure i hav keldeo but after its weakened im fucked so i usually RP on metagross on th switch-in for OHKO with hemmer erm.
The team is right there ^>^

team looks pretty strong to me but I would probably switch rocky helmet to leftovers on landorus because he gets o recovery outside of passive lefties and since landorus is a pretty big member of your team it would be good to keep your only defensive mon relatively healthy.

Hmm true, i honestly never found rocky helmet a prob but i'll try lefties :D

I really like this team: it checks off a lot of "must-haves" on a well-built Offense team. I particularly like the very solid defensive and offensive synergy within and between your Keldeo + Mega Metagross and Landorus-T + Raikou cores.

One suggestion: You have Mega-Meta, Specs Keldeo, and Landorus-T. I think it might be worth it to replace Latios with Latias, using something like the following set:

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Healing Wish

You can use Expert Belt if you really want to, but consider that E Belt depends on super-effective coverage, and Psychic + Dragon + (HP) Fire has pretty bad SE coverage. Your team is particularly offensively inclined, so having recovery on Latias isn't as important as maintaining offensive presence. Healing Wish is the crux of the set and can give M-Meta or Keldeo a second shot at sweeping or wallbreaking. Use it if it appeals to you. Otherwise, great team. Have you tried SD Weaville? I've had some success with it and I think it might fit on this team.

:]
Sure i'll try that latias out
The reason i used EB over LORB ws mentioned before
But i used it so that it doesn't lose most of its hp to life orb as defog cn come handy during late game.
Latias reduces the fire coverage but eh i'll try latias anyways :D
I dont rlly wanna use SD weaville because all the moves it has are necessary, for this team atleast.
I cnt take full credit for this team though :]

Hey man ur team is pretty solid overall, and i think u have checks at least for everythreats but offense doenst have any switch ins like ur team, the good news is u have 2 great pivots in form of Raikou + Lando-T which is an excellent Volt-Turn core to wear down teams very easily and swept late game with metagross, so i only have one suggestion for ur team.
  • i'll made Raikou Assault Vest > CM Leftovers, cuz the nature of ur team is always being in a good spot and hit hard with ur threat so i dont think u need to set up mons, and this Raikou set also help u a lil bit to switch into speacial threats and volt switch predicting the switch or get damage to help metagross sweep.
Raikou @ Assault Vest
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 8 HP / 232 SpA / 16 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
