The Unorthodox

jrp

Banned deucer.
Here's one of my "classic" teams that I use. It has been able to pull me through a lot of battles that I've won, and was the driving force back when I used to be a Normal-Type Gym Leader on another site, with me keeping three of the team I used.
The name comes from the fact that I have only two Pokemon that are classified as OU (unless you count BL) on this team.
Well, here it is:

The Lead:
Ambipom@Life Orb
Technician
Jolly

252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
~ Fake Out
~ Taunt
~ Payback/Low Kick
~ Return

Honestly, I don't care if this guy is UU or not, he's a great lead for me. He can stop a ton of OU's common leads, with the exception of Metagross in their tracks, plus Low Kick is at least a 3HKO on Meta. Fake Out dents the opponent, then I just pick the proper follow-up move.
I use Ambipom as a Fake Out lead because of all of the bonuses it gets. STAB on Fake Out plus Technician is a great boon to take advantage of. It can occasionally take out Machamp leads, it ties with Azelf/Starmie speed-wise, and Infernape leads lose 100% of the time.
Payback is nice for people who think that switching Gengar in on my fake out is a good idea. It always OHKO's, even if it goes first.

The Wall:
Porygon2@Leftovers
Trace
Bold

252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SpA
~ Recover
~ Thunder Wave
~ Thunderbolt
~ Ice Beam

This guy is an incredible wall to use, able to take a ton of hits, and deal with the target easily. Thunder Wave is a great utility move, and this guy has pulled me through a ton. Trace deals with Gyarados, Heatran, Vaporeon, Jolteon, and other Pokemon with abusable abilities with ease, forcing switches constantly. He can take a Close Combat from Infernape and survive, and T-wave him to finish him off. Porygon2 has a ton of ways to counter things, expecially Dragon Dance Gyarados. Send Porygon2 in on the Dragon Dance, Trace will cancel out the +1 attack boost, and Porygon2 can then respond with either Thunderbolt or Thunder Wave.
I hate using Blissey because of its lacking Defense stat, and Porygon2 has always been helpful to me. Porygon2 has on of the best abilities in the game, if not the best, in my opinion.
The Speedy Special Sweeper

Yanmega@Life Orb
Speed Boost
Modest

4 Hp/252 Sp. Atk/252 Spd
~ Protect
~ HP Ground
~ Bug Buzz
~ Air Slash

This guy is incredible for special sweeping. He can OHKO Heatran, Celebi, and a ton of other annoyances in OU. Protect for the speed boost, then sweep away. He's easy to switch in on a predicted fighting-type move.
This set was based off the lead set, but with some modifications to add to its use outside of the lead position. It has been incrediblly helpful to me.

The Offensive Dancer
Lucario@Life Orb
Inner Focus
Jolly

252 Atk /4 Def /252 Spe
~ Swords Dance
~ Close Combat
~ Extremespeed
~ Crunch

The premier physical attacker in OU , in my opinion. There is very little that can stop a Lucario rampage after it gets +2 attack. It can OHKO Breloom with Close Combat before a SD, and it OHKO's almost anything after a SD. Just to show how powerful Lucario is after a SD, it can OHKO Deoxys-D after a SD with Crunch. Not really relevent in an OU RMT, but it shows how powerful it is.

The Steel Trapper
Magnezone@Choice Scarf
Magnet Pull
Naive

4 Atk/252 Sp. Atk/252 Spd.
~ Thunderbolt
~ Flash Cannon
~ HP Fire
~ Explosion

This guy is great. He is the 100% reliable switch-in on any Scizor, bar a Superpower using one. Send him in and trap a steel, then use the appropriate move to eliminate them. Can Explode to get rid of pesky Blisseys. He can eliminate Scarf Jirachi (assuming that Jirachi doesn't get a ton of flinches), incinerate Forrtress, and deal with the plethora of bulky waters in OU, bar Swampert.

The Agility Sweeper
Porygon-Z@ Life Orb
Download
Modest

4 HP/252 Sp. Atk/252 Spd
~ Tri Attack
~ Agility
~ Ice Beam
~ Thunderbolt

One of my favorites to use, Porygon-Z makes an appearence as my 2nd special attacker. I tend to go every-other battle with them.
He can easilly OHKO a TON of things after a Download boost, and outspeeds almost anything after an agility. Truly a fearsome opponent to deal with.

You do have a tremendously fighting weakness. Five of your Pokés are weak to this move type. I suggest you using Scarf Rotom-H instead of Zone, who can handle Scizor, SD Lucario and Gengar easily while still avoiding dangerous fighting attacks that severely hurts your team:

Rotom-H @ Choice Scarf
Timid Nature
252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

~ Thunderbolt
~ Overheat
~ Shadow Ball
~ Trick

Thunderbolt is your main STAB. Overheat handles Scizor and Lucario. Shadow Ball for Gengar and use Trick to cripple a Wall.
