BOLDED STUFF SUMMARIZES IMPORTANT POINTS FOR PEOPLE THAT DON'T WANT TO READ THIS WALL OF TEXT
Reason for Name
I chose this name due to recently falling in love with the video game and show The Walking Dead, and I felt it summarized the team's playstyle very well. Most members have a very easy way to recover health, so even when my pokemon drops to low health, the abundance of ways to gain health creates a zombie like effect. Onto the team!
Team-building Process
I started this team using a "core" idea I found in the cores thread in the Overused Section: Fire, Water, Grass, Dragon, Steel, and Fairy. (Forgot who posted this, sorry!) Using the very original core (sarcasm) of Rotom-Wash, Heatran, and Mega Venesaur. I started this team wanting to use Mega-Venesaur. I generally like playing a lot more passive stallish sort of style, so I decided to build the core around that with Rotom-Wash (a very strong pokemon obviously) and specially defensive Heatran to complete the fire water grass part of the core. Moving onto steel, dragon, and fairy, I personally haven't used a "cleric" and decided using one would be a great idea for this team and decided to use my fairy type spot with Sylveon, but after learning that for being a cleric and in general Florges is superior I switched to him. Goodra is a great defensive tank (obviously) with assault vest and draco meteor is going to hurt. This thing also completely shuts down Charizard Y, two hitting it while taking basically no damage in return. Florges can also shut down Charizard Y, taking only 40% ish from a sun boosted fire blast, getting the wish up and spamming moonblast back at it. To finish off, I was going to use Aegislash as my steel type, providing versatility, unpredictability, and power with strong defenses going with my team's style, but I noticed I needed a defogger so I went with Skarmory instead. Whirlwind to phase out opponents, and defog and I originally ran stealth rocks on it but I couldn't find room for it, and ran it on Heatran instead (which can't put rocks up as consistently or easily in my opinion and limited experience). That completes my team, (THANKS FOR READING SO FAR!!) now onto each individual member!

Ur just a plant (Venusaur) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Quiet Nature
- Sleep Powder
- Giga Drain
- Synthesis
- Sludge Bomb
This bulky beast has turned into one of my favorite pokemon. What once started as an idea at the first concept of a Lucarionite ban, turned into a tanky but strong attacker. He takes cares of other fairy type clerics on opposing teams with a strong sludge bomb, and inflicts sleep with sleep powder. Giga Drain regains health and is a strong grass type move and Synthesis offers another way to regain health. He tanks all moves fairly well, but despite the stallish nature of my team he was one of my most offensive pokemon, and I use him as such. To summarize, he kills other fairy clerics, deals massive special attack damage, and inflicts sleep.

U DIRTY BOI!!! (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Def
Bold Nature
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
Rotom-Wash is the most used pokemon in the meta-game at the moment for good reason, he's able to inflict burn which hampers physical attackers, (which my team has some trouble with), create momentum with volt switch, destroys gliscor and family with hydropump, and steal health with pain split. Rotom is a very important pokemon to my team, being the team player setting up opportunities for other pokemon instead of stealing the show for himself.

CALL ME MONSTAH (Heatran) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Roar
- Toxic
- Lava Plume
- Stealth Rock
Despite his lack of recovery, Heatran is one of the most important pokemon on this team. Like Rotom, he spreads status with the possibility of burn (Lava Plume) or toxic poison (toxic) and set up stealth rocks. He can also phaze out baton passers, or any other pokemon that attempt to set up on it with roar. He forces switches, inflicts important status conditions depending on pokemon, and is the rocks setter. The slight unpredictability of Heatran also allows him to cause opponents to over-predict!

BOOM-ra (Goodra) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 252 SAtk / 248 HP / 8 SDef
Sassy Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Earthquake
Goodra is also one of my attackers, on the special side! He rips through walls, takes minimal damage from the massive threat Charizard Y as well as carrying earthquake to deal with enemy Heatrans not carrying air balloon. Goodra's job is to counter other dragons, force switches, take out Heatrans, absorb special attacks and grass attacks.

Feel Good Inc. (Florges) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Moonblast
- Aromatherapy
The cleric of the team. He heals my pokemon back up to health and is the backbone! For me he is the most important to keep alive as without him Heatran and Goodra cannot recover health. He walls all special attacks completely bar poison, but most importantly completely walls Charizard Y. He can also lower special attack with Moonblast as an option. He also completely heals statuses with aromatherapy. Without a doubt, if I replaced her with a different type of fairy my team would always lose. Also internet cookies to whoever gets the obvious references in this pokemon's name as well as the one below, which is...

Del Tha Ghost Rappa (Skarmory) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 232 Def / 252 HP / 24 Spd
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Defog
- Whirlwind
- Roost
Meet Del! Originally my rocks setter, I realized that I needed defog so I left the rocks off and gave it to Heatran. He phazes out pokemon with Whirlwind, and thanks to sturdy, can always survive one hit. I am seriously considering changing him to Excadrill, not only because I am very lacking on the physical attacking side but having stealth rocks on their side and not my side is very helpful as my team forces a lot of switches. Using defog, rocks dissapear from both sides of the field. My only problems with Excadrill is that I don't really need ground type, and he cannot as reliably get rid of rocks, due to his typing and the nature of rapid spin. Help here is very very appreciated!
Conclusion
This team forces a lot of switches, and is very passive. My rating right now is 1400 and rising, and I feel confident at the situation it is now I can hit 1600 with smart play. I know this team can be easily improved, and any help can be appreciated. This is my second team ever, and I have played competitive pokemon for around two months. Thanks for reading, please rate and have a nice day!
