Themed Teams

I like using themed team every once in a while, they are fun, even if you don't win as often. These are some themed teams I run:

Hail
Rain Dance
Sandstorm
Sunny Day
Baton Pass
Trick Room

So what kind of themed teams do you guys play with? I've heard of some stall teams out there.
 
I have one decent sandstorm team trained up, I only made around 3 switches on that one (that's not many), and one really fun no-theme team. I'd love to do a trick room team, but..

Anyway, the worst part about theme teams is whenever they find out it's a theme team, they can guess half of your moves, and half of your team.
 
In adv i had a pretty mean purple team, lol...

Trick Room is a pretty awesome theme for this current metagame, since it opens up almost limitless possibilities, and completely screws over half of the used pokemon. My one gripe with it is that it doesn't last long enough. They should make a wet rock / light clay item for trick room

I like trying to mix the themed teams... I think my sandstorm/trickroom team is still undefeated on shoddy (Solrock well... ROXX). But I really don't think that any other themed teams work quite as well as the aforementioned, the fact being that ice is a terrible type and raindance or sunnyday take a turn to set up.
I've always wanted to try an all eevelution/batonpassing team just for kicks though, lol.
 
That would be very convinient. I haven't tried most of my teams yet though, for some reason my shoddy froze up. I only tried bp so far, which was a sucess. My plan is win at least once with each of my teams. =)

How was your gravity team superstar?

I've been meaning to try an eeveelution team too.
 
My current OU team has an "evil" theme. All its members can learn Dark Pulse: Porygon-Z, Heatran, Gyarados, Dusknoir, Weavile, and Gliscor.

I have a UU team based on Japanese folklore: Ninetales, Froslass, Dunsparce, Whiscash, Shiftry, and Mawile.

And another UU team, this time built around the Fairy Egg Group: Clefable, Granbull, Jumpluff, Azumarill, Froslass, and Raichu.

I might make an all-blue team for OU.

Oh, and I've always wanted to make a Batman team: Gliscor, Roserade, Regice, Empoleon, Weavile, and something else.
 
I prefer mixed themes as lately I have been using a sanstorm hail mixed team. After that one I am trying a stall breaker team with mere offense. By the way what do you mean with food themed team vampdude34?
 
I liked my adv 'deep woods' team, which consists of pokemon you'd find in the forest. It was pretty damn good, too. I should make a d/p version.

Mawile is a futakuchi-onna.

I just realized that one of the best UUs ever, Hypno, is a baku, so I'm going to try to fit him in somewhere.

There's potential for a similar team for OU too: Ludicolo, Weavile, Dusknoir, Raikou, Espeon, Arcanine, Infernape...

Catwoman. Also makes an excellent Wolverine for X-Men teams.

I use Gliscor over Crobat because the team needs Earthquake.
 
I'm currently making a team for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney's Edgeworth. Two out of six done. :) And once those guys are finished, I'm making a team for Iori of King of Fighters fame.
 
I was thinking of making a team of pokemon that people use in the TV Series. But i don't remember anything from it and haven't watched it forever so doesn anyone know the pokemon that various ppl on the show used?
 
Heh, I made various theme teams in ADV. One of them was Battle Royale, I tried to make 7 teams to fit in every student, but I never got around to making more than about 4. I also made a disney team...all I remember was that Raikou was my Simba back then.

As for D/P, the only theme team I've made (unless you count crappy as a theme) was my Seinfeld team.
 
Well, I run an ice team, but that's pretty much only because the ice gym was the only one left. Anyway, I saw a really cool team on shoddy once, a Nintenteam. I remember Octillery was Samus, Tentacruel was a Metroid, but I don't remember anything else.
 
I ran a togekiss flinch hax team for a good while, and did pretty well with it. But imo you shouldn't base your entire team and strategy around it... it should be used as a back up plan.
