This team is so stupid it isn't even funny?

Seriously, it's retarded. Meh, fun though. ;o

Ramparados @ Leftovers
Trait: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Crunch

So entirely unsure on Rock Polish that it's not even funny. Does TWave give -2 or -1 Spd? If -2, then I'll get rid of Rock Polish for something else.

Just a fun gimmick team. All comments appreciatized.

if you think a team is stupid why do you post it lol :P

I guess this may work, Mismagius is kind of brittle for a lead, but it attracts Blissey, Weaville, and other Mismagius counters, if you can take them out early I guess Azelf has an easy sweep.

It's stupid in a different way... or something....

This team isn't in any order. Gyarados is probably going to be my starter.

No Explosion on Azelf? Azelf is a great mixed sweeper. You should make it one of those.

EDIT: Here is a moveset I made up in like 10 seconds:

- Explosion
- U-Turn
- Grass Knot
- Psychic/ Thunderbolt/ Flamethrower

Not really a need for it. The whole point of the team is to keep things alive to sweep, after paralyzing stuff....

If TWave is -2, then I'm going with Swords Dance > Rock Polish on Ramparados. If I do this, then the only thing that actually can wall it is Skarmory because of Whirlwind, and Rhyperior only if it has Roar. Sort of.... Eh.

You are going to have a lot of trouble with Electivire with all those Thunder Waves. IMO your team requires too much set up to work. CBTar could cause you problems. Also make Salamence Naughty.

Electivire really is an ass to this team. It's an ass to every team. Seriously.

Mismagiwhatever can sort of wall it. Calm Mind off the TBolts, immune to Earthquake and Cross Chop, leaving it with Ice Punch only, basically.... Meh, not that good of a counter though, I guess.

Weavile and HP ice electric weaknessses everywhere. It doesn't really look like a novelty team to me. More like 6 standards thrown together. Shouldn't a novelty team be something funny?

Change your Salamence's nature to something thats -defense. That -Sp. Defense will mess you up hard.

I like - SpDef better because he can Spam Intimidate against Physical Sweepers not carrying a Rock attack.

Most Physical Sweepers carry a rock attack...

I guess Rash nature would be a better choice since Salamence dies to ice anyways...

I don't see how this is a "gimmick" team as it is simply six powerful Pokemon all thrown together without much thought given as to how well they'll actually work as a team. Three Rock weaknesses and nothing to resist them is a pretty clear indicator of this. You've also got quite a few potential "6-0s" against many of the powerhouse sweepers, Dragon Dance Tyranitar and Stone Edge Gyarados immediately spring to mind. Swords Dance Infernape can cause some serious problems too.

It's really not necessary to respond to EVERY SINGLE REPLY, so please stop.

If you think your team is stupid, why did you even bother posting it?

I don't know about that. I mean, any stat-boost other than Speed is pointless, I'll agree to that. But with max EVs in Speed, one Rock Polish is going to make this thing faster than most Pokémon. Rock Polish is definitely worth it as long as two things are true. First, you can take out your current opponent in one hit. Second, you're pretty sure that the Rampardos with double Speed is faster than everything else on your opponent's team.

After that, it's sweep, sweep, sweep!

EDIT: In fact, once it's so fast, Mold Breaker and the right attacks pretty much mean that you can hit everything really hard. Rampardos was made for Rock Polish. I'm getting me one of these!

You do realize that you probably aren't getting more than ko after rock polish don't u?

Well, one KO and one severe injury are a pretty good deal for losing Rampardos, I'd say. I mean, you've both lost one Pokémon and one of your opponents has a big chunk of HP missing. I'll call that a win.

It's pretty clear that Rampardos is all about sacrifice. It learns Head Smash, for instance. It won't have a place in a defense-oriented stall team, but wow can it deal damage!

Well, that depends. If they switch to a counter, your rampard is left with 1HP and is now screwed. I call that a loss. Also, stealth rock is really popular on wifi and focus strip sucks.

You're right, but I'd much rather pass the speed boost from another Pokemon than have Rampardos try it himself. 50 Special Defense and 50 Defense means that a hit from something Rampardos is weak to is almost guaranteed death. An earlier poster had a point though, Focus Strip could help alleviate that, but with Stealth Rock probably gaining in popularity I don't see Rampardos switching in and still having full health.

Edit: beaten

Well, what's a good counter for a fast Rampardos? By my calculations, only Breloom resists Rock, Ground and Dark.
