This team is very weird.

This team doesn't really have any sort of "ultimate goal". I just kinda mashed six Pokemon together that can work well when used right. But I said it's weird because of how the battles they take part in unfold. Sometimes, Yanmega is really awesome and takes out almost half of their team, and sometimes it fails miserably. Sometimes Jirachi sets up and sweeps, but sometimes it just revenges something. Sometimes Ttar cleans up late game, sometimes it just sits on the side and eats popcorn to watch. I think I've only ever used Heatran once to take a Dusknoir's WoW then I exploded on a predicted Blissey switch in...so I really don't know how well he goes in the team. He doesn't really do anything, but his, for lack of a better word, 'wasted' slot doesn't seem to hinder the team at all. Enough stuff that should be under their descriptions, here's the glance, in order of use:

Aw, aren't they cute.
Gasp, right-side teams are weird!

Yanmega!@Life Orb
Timid - 80 HP / 176 Speed / 252 Special Attack
+Speed Boost+
~Bug Buzz
~Air Slash
~Hidden Power [Ground]
~Ancientpower

Yay! Yanmega! Ah, me and this thing have good memories. People think he'll be the standard Protect lead, but I hit them hard and then again for a 2HKO. Most people SR so this happens a lot. Sometimes he kills a lead, then a Heatran, then they quit cuz they realize how 'Mega weak they are. Huh. 176 Speed + Timid outspeeds Heatran after a Speed Boost...boost. Ancientpower is O.K. but never seems to KO when it needs to *cough*TogekissGyaradosZapdos*cough* but then again is very useful for Aerodactyl leads. But, sometimes I do wish he had Protect for those times he switches out and comes back in later with no speed boosts, he could really use it. Help here.

Gyarados!@Leftovers
Adamant - 156 HP / 108 Attack / 100 Defense / 144 Speed
+Intimidate+
~Taunt
~Waterfall
~Stone Edge
~Dragon Dance

Most people nowadays run some weirdo-max-attack-max-speed-super-offensive-Gyara bullshit, but BulkyGyara will always have a place in my heart. Gyarados with no Taunt are sad Gyarados. I don't try to set up until I've scouted their best defense against my leviathan, most often a Celebi. I really like how he switches in on Luke, Heracross and Scizor and threatens them while still being an offensive beast outside of that. I guess Rest/Sleep Talk Gyarados is alright, and I may test it here because I don't have a status absorber.

Tyranitar!@Choice Band
Adamant - 252 HP / 252 Attack / 4 Special Defense
+Sand Stream+
~Stone Edge
~Earthquake
~Crunch
~Toxic / Pursuit

Someone suggested I put Tyranitar on my team a while back because I had a Zapdos weakness. But since I put him in I haven't seen any Zapdos ;-; Anyhow, he hits really really hard and I like that. I seldom find myself using Earthquake, half because of the risk of an immune walking in on it and forcing me out but...Idk, I never really used EQ much. His STABs have nice effects, and I love it. The last slot really can go either way...Toxic hits Hippowdon and Swampert where it hurts, Pursuit would nail Cresselia and fellow Psychics that are afraid of me.

i_jiraachi.gif

Jirachi!@Leftovers
Timid - 252 HP / 176 Speed / 80 Special Attack
+Serene Grace+
~Substitute
~Calm Mind
~Psychic
~Thunderbolt

The strangest thing about this Jirachi is that it doesn't really care how much HP it has. I often find myself sweeping at percents as low as 13, but hey it works. Switch in on weak Special Attackers and Sub up, CM if they stay in or attack the new Pokemon if they don't. It's shocking how easy this thing sets up and how devastating it is after. Right now I'm using these moves, but I soon found out that Celebi walls me with them pretty bad..but every pair of moves I can think of is walled by something. I might put Flash Cannon over one of them but Idk which one. Thunderbolt is useful for Gyara revenges and waters in general but Psychic benefits from Serene Grace really well and has STAB. I don't know what the EVs do exactly (or even if they're standard) but I got them from a friend and they've been working fine...

i_manmuu.gif

Mamoswine.@Leftovers
Jolly - 252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP
+Snow Cloak+
~Earthquake
~Ice Shard
~Stealth Rock
~Stone Edge

Mamoswine can be powerful...I guess. He doesn't see much use. He can revenge after Salamence starts outraging, but god do I hate it when he finishes just as I get in. He sets up SR (I'm not one of those ZOMG SR FIRST TURN ZOMG ZOMG EXPLODE ZOMG ZO-), usually on a predicted switch. Earthquake is nice STAB and takes out the Adamant SDLuke he just barely outspeeds. Stone Edge hits slower flyers like non-DD Gyara or Togekiss. This is my first switch in to Blissey since he's immune to T-Wave. He was on the original blueprint team, this is actually an edited version of the original. Ttar is a new addition, so Mamo sees less use. I may replace him with something else that has Ice coverage, I'm thinking Starmie with Rapid Spin, since I have enough physical pokes and can really use the speed. Thoughts on this?

i_hiidoran.gif

Heatran?@Choice Scarf
Timid - 252 Special Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP
+Flash Fire+
~Fire Blast
~Earth Power
~Explosion
~Hidden Power [Grass]

This Heatran is..completely replaceable. He hardly sees any use (probably because Mamoswine sees equally less use, thus less Fire attacks directed towards me). If anything I use him to switch into Celebi or to take out Pokemon I don't feel like dealing with by Exploding. The need for this Heatran lessens more if I replace Mamo with Starmie, too. Is there some magical Pokemon that can take care of Celebi and SR [and Explode]? That Pokemn would be my hero..*drools*

I do this a lot...I change my views of the team as I'm typing it and then change it before posting. But I want your opinions on it now, too. So I'll post afterthoughts here:

*RS-Starmie over Mamoswine?
*Then, Infernape over Heatran?
*Put the lost SR on Ttar? I could SR on the scout-switch.
*An after-afterthought, if I make all the above changes I'll have 3 Electric weaknesses and no resists/immunes :/
*Now also thinking of Celebi for its ability to stop Suicune, who as proven to be a problem, and Gyarados, who has always been a problem.

Thanks.

Hi and welcome to Smogon,

to solve most of your problems I'd suggest two changes:

1) Swampert over Yanmega:

Swampert@leftovers
nature: relaxed
EVs: 236 HP / 216 Def / 56 SpA
-earthquake
-ice beam
-stealth rock
-roar

I'll begin saying that I don't like anti lead pokemons: most suicide lead will still have their job done - read: laying down SR - and you're basically wasting a pokemon slot. Not to mention that you'll always lose against certain leads like Aerodactyl and Inferanpe. Swampert seems to fit nicely in your sandstorm team, providing a reliable SR lead and a perfect counter for opposing TTar.

2) Starmie over Mamoswine:

Starmie@leftovers
nature: timid
EVs: 136 HP / 156 Def / 216 Spe
-surf
-thunderbolt
-recover
-rapid spin

Starmie would provide a good check for Gyarados, which looks like a massive threat for your team at the moment, and a good switch into Infernape. Rapid spin would help Gyarados to come in a little easier not having to be worried about SR.

Other than that, I'd run an EV spread of: 176 HP / 252 Atk / 80 Spe on Tyranitar, because with those Spe EVs you'll be able to outspeed most Skarmory and 2hko it with stone edge. Also, definitely keep pursuit on it or you'll lose the ability to trap and kill things like Latias.

Also, I'd switch to a naive nature on Heatran to power up your explosion a bit.

That's all, I guess.

Good luck with your team!

Once Gyarados is gone, Rhyperior walks all over your team. Starmie decimates Rhyperior before it can even move, while Swampert could take a few hits and Ice Beam. Both of Haunter's suggestions look like good additions to your team.

I also agree with Toxic Torture about Heatran.

ahh, this looks like a very nice team! i'm trying to identify what you want to do with this team. it (as you said) doesnt focus on any particular pokemon getting a sweep, or focus on building up residual damage and then sweeping the opponent. what i'm seeing is you try to wear down the opponent until one of your pokemon FINALLY breaks through, while playing off of good defensive stats and typing that can still pack one hell of a hard punch. so i'm going to stray from posting the fast, frail, powerful pokemon and instead stick to stuff that seems to fit your playstyle-slow, bulky, and hits like a truck. to start, i'm going to suggest a different set for your jirachi. right now, your team has problems with swampert, and this helps alleviate this. yes, i'm talking about superachi. calm mind up early game, scout their counter. eliminate it and sweep. superachi provides a lot more power than subcm jirachi, and gets a lot better coverage. superachi cleans up everything late game. it also lures out latias, which tyranitar promptly destroys.

jirachi @ leftovers
timid 252 spa / 252 spe / 4 hp

~ calm mind
~ hidden power [fire]
~ grass knot
~ psychic

im going to suggest moving mamoswine up to the lead position and giving it a life orb, as that can ohko a lot of common leads, and those that manage to survive the first hit will usually fall to a second. this leaves you with a free slot where yanmega used to be. i second haunter's suggestion of starmie but i want you to use my special ev spread. my spread 2hkoes rotom with rocks down, so you dont have to have your tyranitar crippled for the rest of the match just to spin. my set also takes 85% average from a +1 life orb gyarados' earthquake or stone edge, which, as haunter said, gives you a nice, reliable gyarados check.

starmie @ leftovers
timid 216 spe / 84 spatk / 210 def

~ thunderbolt
~ recover
~ hydro pump
~ rapid spin

good luck with the team, hope i helped!!
