When I first joined Smogon, I made a team. It wasn't all that good. Now I am wiser (maybe) and am revamping the team. Only one Pokemon is untouched from its original version.
Salamence @ Life Orb
Intimidate
Rash
120 Atk/252 SpA/136 Spe
Draco Meteor
Fire Blast
Brick Break
Roost
I used to run a SpecsMence set here, but my team had some trouble with good walls, who I would usually have to rely on Tangrowth to stall out or outpredict and hit their Fire resistant walls with a Draco Meteor when they predicted a Flamethrower. I run Roost since I have no spinner or weather changer and only 2 real sweepers. I thought about Dragon Claw to take out special walls not named Blissey, though.
Weavile @ Choice Band
Pressure
Jolly
4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Ice Shard
Brick Break
Pursuit
Aerial Ace
I changed this from a SD Weavile lead to this. Frankly, he wasn't sweeping much, and he seems better suited to a revenge killer role. In the last slot, AA for Heracross, who I'm rather weak to.
Blissey @ Leftovers
Natural Cure
Calm
252 HP/252 Def/4 Spe
Seismic Toss
Stealth Rock
Thunder Wave
Softboiled
Fairly standard special wall. Are the EVs ok? I could move those which are usually in SpA and which are now in HP to SpD. As much as Blissey has so many good options other than Stealth Rock, getting rid of Rhyperior meant that I needed another Poke to set up entry hazards, and this one was my only choice.
Tangrowth @ Leftovers
Chlorophyll
Impish
252 HP/228 Def/28 Spe
Knock Off
Leech Seed
Sleep Powder
Power Whip
I L-O-V-E LOVE Tangrowth. It wins stall wars with almost any other wall, messes up any Poke with Knock Off, induces sleep, has a 120 BP STAB move, and is a terrific Gyarados counter to boot. This is the only Poke left untouched from my original team.
Cresselia @ Leftovers
Levitate
Bold
252 HP/108 Def/148 SpD
Rest
Sleep Talk
Charge Beam (?)
Ice Beam
This replaces Gengar because I had a huuuuuge mixed sweeper weakness, which Cress helps with tremendously. Since I had to replace Aromatherapy on Blissey, this also gives me a status absorber. I'm sort of ambivalent about Charge Beam, and if you can think of a better move for that slot, I'll use it.
Hariyama @ Leftovers
Thick Fat
Adamant/Impish/Something Else
28 HP/80 Atk/200 Def/200 SpD <---Need help with this spread!
Knock Off/ThunderPunch
Cross Chop
Ice Punch
Whirlwind
After all was said and done, I had a massive weakness to Tyraniboahs carrying Ice Beam. Hariyama counters TTar as well as anything. It also can phaze, which my Rhyperior used to do. The EV spread is off the top of my head, and it's pretty gross. Ideally, I want to equalize my Def and my SpA, same as my Cress, but I don't know about the attack. Even with no EVs and a neutral nature, Cross Chop 1HKOs a 252 HP/252 Def TTar (yeah, a lot of those) and easily 2HKOs your standard Bold Blissey. Knock Off might be my favorite move ever, but Tangrowth already knows it, and 2 Knock Offers on 1 team seems like it might be a bit redundant.
That's it. There's no particular central strategy here, other than "Do Well." Criticize all you like, if it may make my team better. Thanks in advance.
