THO's second team

Well hi I'm new and I thought the first port of call would be get my team rated :). So here goes then:

Bronzong. Relaxed Nature (Item?)

EV Spread:
152 HP
178 Def
178 Sp Def

Moves:
Stealth Rock
Gyro Ball
Earthquake
Hypnosis

He generally works quite well as a lead even though this is his Wall set. But his defences allow me to determine whether I want to set up a Stealth rock first or attempt a hypnosis which would usually force a switch. His Heatproof ability also tricks some players into thinking the Bronzong has levitate however this makes hime suceptible to EQs that would be horrific for Bronzong. However he is not an easy pokemon to take down.

Gyarados. Adamant Nature @ Life Orb

EV Spread:
4 HP
252 Atk
252 Speed

Moves:
Earthquake
Aqua Tail
Ice Fang
Dragon Dance

Due to Gyarados usually causing switches it allows me to get at least one DD up and cause massive damage. I didn't include stone edge because Ice fang allows me to hit Flying foes and earthquake allows me to hit Gyarados' major weakness.

Great powerhouse IMO

Starmie. Timid Nature @ Wise Glasses

EV Spread:
4HP
252 Sp Atk
252 Speed

Moves:
Psychic
ThunderBolt
Surf
Ice Beam

My Starmie has a vast movepool which have a lot of type coverage. A staple in all of my teams and the EV spread and nature allow me to outspeed a lot of foes and deal huge damage with Starmies great Special Attack.

Gengar. Timid Nature (Item?)

EV Spread:
4 HP
252 Sp Atk
252 Speed

Moves:
Shadow Ball
Focus Blast
Energy Ball
Explosion

I replaced T-bolt in this set mainly because my Starmie already covered that area, and energy ball covers Swampert and other ground types aswell. Shadow ball is a great STAB attack and allows gengar to deal damage with Focus blast meaning Gengar can take out threatening dark types including Umbreon (:@).

Mamoswine. Adamant Nature @ Choice Band

EV Spread:
252 Atk
252 Spd
4 HP

Moves:
Ice Shard
EarthQuake
SuperPower
Stone Edge

Another physical powerhouse that can just rip through many teams. Not much I can say apart from that he's one of my favourite pokemon and not to mention having a very fearsome attack stat.

Cresselia. Sassy Nature @ Leftovers

EV Spread:
100 HP
204 Def
204 Sp Def

Moves:
Toxic
Moonlight
Calm Mind
Psychic

Soaks up hits like a sponge, normally I set up a toxic here to either force a switch or just greatly damage the foe. And then moonlight away if I know that the enemy can hurt Cress, but I can calm mind to raise Sp Def if I'm on a good HP and am facing a strong Special user. The calm mind also powers up Cresselia's STAB psychic compensating for its relatively low Sp Atk stat.

C&C will be greatly appreciated and all IV's are near 24+ for all crucial stats.

Thanks

jolly nature on gyara is required to outrun Jolteon or it will simply ko you with thunderbolt.(though it will likely fear a jolly nature anyway which is perhaps why you have not noticed this)

Yeah while I was testing I tried a jolly gara however I saw no point in losing the extra power when most jolteons switched out on my gara or if one switched in I switched my Mamo in to nullify and kill it.

But thanks anyway.
