Moves
========
- I chose Rest as its Throh's only recovery move. while paired with Sleep Talk, it serves Throh in setting up several Bulk Ups. Sleep Talk
- Sleep Talk is an obvious pair with Rest, as it allows Throh to move while during its slumber cause by Rest, and boosts its set up capabilities even greater.
- I decided on Bulk Up due to it being Throhs only reliable set up move. By boosting Throh's Attack and Defense, it will quickly become a physical tank.
- I selected Circle Throw as Throh's offensive move as it serves a very important niche in this particular moveset. Circle Throw, while also providing STAB, switches out pokemon that attempt to simultaneously set up as Throh does. It also eliminates any counters that try to switch into Throh, while additionally doing damage.
========
- 252 Atk / 152 HP / 36 Def / 68 SpD amplifies Throhs nice Attack and HP, while also granting boosts to its Defensive stats to increase overall bulk.
- Guts is the preferred ability here, as Rest sleep can provide boosted damage to your Sleep Talk attacks.
- Leftovers can help sturdy up Throhs bulk capabilities, allowing constant healing every turn.
- Adamant nature to utilize Throh's powerful Attack stat.
========
- Be cautious of Poison, Psychic,Flying, and Fairy types. If you see pokemon such as Vileplume, be wary of any switch ins.
- Don't be afraid of switching out, even after a few bulk ups. Saving Throh for a better opportunity is better than sacrificing it for minimal damage
- Use Rest at your best judgement, as burn or toxic can wear Throh down and make it extremely vulnerable.
- If there is any obvious Throh check / counter, be sure to Circle Throw if possible.
========
- As Circle Throw is its only attacking move (Bulky Rest Set) , be sure to bring coverage support for Ghost Types, as well as Throh's other type weaknesses.
- Psychic type support can help against Poison type checks against Throh,such as Muk, Vileplume, and Garbodor.
- Be sure to provide a check for fairy types, such as Klinklang or Arbok.
- Pawniard makes a excellent pair with Throh, as it covers every single one of its weaknesses. It has super-effective STABs against Fairy and Psychic, a resistance to Flying, and immunity to both Psychic and Poison.
########
- Low Sweep can be used to decrease Speed, although given Throh's appalling Speed, it won't make too much of a factor in most situations.
########
**Fairy Types**
- Throh gets easily countered by nearly every Fairy type.
- Although Circle Throws will send switches flying back, you can easily get thrown into another counter.
- A majority of Fairy types have a decent amount of bulk, and can shake off a Circle Throw easily
- A majority of Flying types maintain a great offensive presence in the NU metagame.
- Pokemon such as Dodrio and Pidgeot, with impressive Attack and Speed, will definitely give Throh a run for his money.
- Even with its admirable bulk, an unboosted Throh will still take heavy damage from a STAB Flying move.
**Taunt**
- Taunt is an excellent hard check for Throh. It renders Rest, Sleep Talk, and Bulk Up useless, only allowing Throh to use his attacking moves.
- Halts all set up.
**Ghost Types**
- Ghost Types are a hard counter to Throh, as they almost guarantee a switch out, due to the fact that they are immune to Throh's only offensive move.
