[OVERVIEW]

Due to its amazing Special Attack and wide variety of coverage options, Thundurus-T is a formidable wallbreaker in UU. Its absurdly high 145 base Special Attack lets it 2HKO Pokemon such as Amoonguss and Hatterene, even when unboosted, and its unique base 101 Speed lets it outspeed base 100s like Victini and Jirachi. It also has the necessary coverage to get past every one of its checks, boasting moves like Focus Blast, Sludge Wave, and Psychic. Volt Absorb also allows Thundurus-T to block Volt Switch attempts from Zeraora and Thundurus, but it is slower than them and takes a lot of damage from their coverage moves. Despite its amazing Special Attack, Thundurus-T will be walled by at least some of its checks, since it can't fit all of its coverage moves at the same time. It is also frail and slower than Pokemon like Nihilego, Terrakion, and Latias, making it prone to being revenge killed by them and other faster threats. It also can't take priority moves like Accelerock and Aqua Jet. Thundurus-T's weakness to Stealth Rock almost mandates the use of Heavy-Duty Boots, which limits its wallbreaking capabilities by removing items such as Life Orb and Choice Specs. Finally, Thundurus-T faces competition with its own Incarnate form, as it can run mixed sets more reliably and is way faster, improving its matchup against Pokemon like Keldeo, Latias, and Terrakion.

[SET COMMENTS]

Psychic hits Amoonguss, Nihilego, Nidoqueen, and Kommo-o for a lot of damage. Sludge Wave deals with Tapu Bulu and Tangrowth and hits Latias neutrally. Focus Blast is used for Chansey, Rhyperior, and Krookodile. Heavy-Duty Boots helps Thundurus come in to pick off threats without having to worry about Stealth Rock, staying out of range of priority moves from Pokemon such as Lycanroc-D and Azumarill. Life Orb is an option to boost Thundurus-T's damage output to even scarier levels. However, not using Heavy-Duty Boots leaves Thundurus-T vulnerable to Stealth Rock and makes it take recoil damage, leaving it more open to being revenge killed.

Thundurus-T fits best on offense and hyper offense teams due to its amazing Special Attack and useful Speed, allowing it to wallbreak and sweep after only one boost. Since it can't deal with faster threats like Nihilego and Latias, a Choice Scarf user such as Krookodile can help it by removing them. Defensive Pokemon such as Chansey and Rotom-H can take Thundurus-T's unboosted attacks and force it out, so teammates like Terrakion and Keldeo help it by pressuring them. Keldeo in particular can help wear down shared checks with Thundurus-T, like Kommo-o and Latias. Zeraora appreciates Thundurus-T's Psychic destroying walls such as Amoonguss, Nidoqueen, and Kommo-o for it. Tapu Bulu is a great teammate, as Thundurus-T can remove Skarmory and Celesteela with Thunderbolt and get rid of other specific Tapu Bulu checks depending on its third slot coverage move. If Psychic is chosen, Thundurus-T can use it to pressure Nidoqueen, Amoonguss, and Kommo-o for it. If you opt for Sludge Wave, Tangrowth, Latias, and opposing Tapu Bulu are easier to deal with. In return, Tapu Bulu deals with Ground-types like Rhyperior, Krookodile, and Quagsire for Thundurus-T. Pokemon that can take on Latias like Azumarill and Primarina and faster Pokemon like Zeraora are good partners too. Dual screens from Pokemon like Grimmsnarl and Alolan Ninetales help Thundurus-T's poor defensive stats and give it more chances for setup. Spikes support from Skarmory and Mew helps Thundurus-T be less reliant on Nasty Plot, as it risks being KOed while setting up or be forced to predict switches. Sticky Web support from Araquanid and Ribombee fixes Thundurus-T's mediocre Speed to let it outspeed threats it couldn't otherwise, like Keldeo and Nihilego.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Grass Knot can be used for more consistent damage on Rhyperior, Krookodile, and Quagsire, but it is not the best option, since Thundurus-T will lose a way to hit other checks like Latias and Tapu Bulu. Dark Pulse is an option to better deal with Latias, but, again, the loss in coverage for other checks such as Chansey and Tangrowth is generally not worth it. Agility + Nasty Plot sets aim to fix Thundurus-T's unimpressive Speed and allow it to outspeed its offensive checks, such as Keldeo, Terrakion, and Choice Scarf Krookodile. However, by giving up one of its coverage moves, it will be forced to switch out against some of its other checks. A pivoting set with Volt Switch / Thunderbolt / Psychic / Focus Blast is an option, but Thundurus-T is generally outclassed in this role by its Incarnate form, which has better Speed. Thunder + Weather Ball on rain teams hits all the Ground-types that check Thundurus-T for big damage, but this set only works on these specific teams, and thus is hard to fit.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Pokemon and Priority Users**: Choice Scarf users like Victini and Nihilego pressure Thundurus-T very easily, and faster offensive Pokemon like Terrakion and Keldeo threaten it due to its mediocre bulk. Priority users like Azumarill, Bisharp, and Mamoswine can pick off Thundurus-T after some prior chip damage.

**Latias**: Latias can recover off any damage from Thundurus-T's moves with Roost aside from a boosted Sludge Wave or the very rare Dark Pulse, it outspeeds Thundurus-T and can threaten it with its powerful Draco Meteor. Calm Mind Latias can also use Thundurus-T as setup fodder.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Assault Vest variants of Tangrowth and Tapu Bulu don't fear any of Thundurus-T's attacks aside from Sludge Wave. Chansey can also stall it out with Toxic + Seismic Toss while healing off the damage with Soft-Boiled, although it can't take more than one Focus Blast after a Nasty Plot.

[OVERVIEW]

- Acts as a great pivot with Volt Switch and moderately high Speed.
- Has the coverage necessary to get past every one of its checks. Sludge for grasses, psychic for amoong and Nidoqueen, focus for chansey and Rhyperior
- Absurdly high SpA and good Speed letting it outspeed base 100s lets it wallbreak well
- Useful ability to block volt switch from Zeraora but takes tons of damage from Zera coverage moves and fails to KO back without landing two Focus Blasts
- Weakness to SR mandates use of boots, limiting its breaking ability
- Speed isn't bad but still loses to Latias, Zeraora, Nihilego, Keldeo and Terrakion, so NP setup can be hard. it can be easily forced out
- Extremely frail and can't take common priority like Aqua Jet and Sucker Punch
- Sadly overshadowed by Zeraora, which is faster and checks Thundurus Zeraora doesn't over shadow it because they don't perform the same role (They compete the Electric-type slot). If you were to compare it to anything it would be regular Thundurus whose Speed tier improves a lot more matchups and thus can do a better job than its therian counterpart most of the time.

Paragraph 1
- Nasty Plot lets Thundurus-T boost its Special Attack to astronomical levels, leaving very few Pokemon capable of taking more than one hit from it. Make sure you expand on this and give some examples when you write this up.
- Thunderbolt is your main STAB and is used to hit Pokemon like Jirachi and Scizor, since they resist or are immune to your other main move options.
- Psychic hits Amoonguss, Nihilego, Nidoqueen and Kommo-o for a lot of damage, even unboosted.
- Sludge Wave deals with Tapu Bulu, Tangrowth, and hits Latias neutrally.
- Focus Blast is used for Chansey, Rhyperior, and Krookodile.
- Heavy-Duty Boots helps Thundurus sweep even with hazards on while also letting it come in to pick off threats without having to worry abt hazards Stealth Rock. It also keeps it healthy and out of range of priority users like Diggersby.
- Life Orb is an option that boosts the damage output but leaves it vulnerable to hazards and makes thundurus take recoil damage.
- Timid is the preferred nature in place of Modest to outspeed positive natured base 100s You can remove this info, not very useful

Paragraph 2
- Fits on offensive/hyper offensive teams because no defensive utility outside of electric and ground immunity. This is the reason you would want to run it on more offensively inclined teams because you compress these important things on an offensive threat. So I would word this to be in a positive light instead.

- Has difficulty dealing with faster mons like Nihilego or the fat pink blob so a teammate like Terrakion helps by pressuring both of those. Can also bring in terrak safely
- Amoong can be annoying too, so victini helps by forming a voltturn core. thundy brings tini on the grasses to then pressure them.
- Tapu Bulu doesn't like dealing with skarm, steela, and tang. thundy can pressure them with stab + sludge and bulu deals with grounds like nido, krook and rhyp for thundy.
- spikes support from skarm and mew helps it to not realy on NP too much and risk being KOed while setting up or having to predict switches

Mention things that help with Latias, you give it its own section under checks and counters so something should be mentioned here.

Bring up Sticky Web support also.

[SET COMMENTS]

Paragraph 1
- Volt Switch is the main move and lets thundy pivot out of pokemon like tang, kommo-o, and tapu bulu and keep momentum.
- Thunderbolt helps you pressure skarm, steela, and waters without having to switch out. also hits rachi and sciz harder than any other move.
- Focus Blast is used for krook, chansey and rhyp.
- Psychic is used for amoong, nihi, nido and kommo-o.
- Sludge Wave is for bulu, tang, and to some extent, latias.
- Heavy-Duty Boots lets thundy pivot safely and not care about SR
- Timid is the preferred nature in place of Modest to outspeed positive natured base 100s

Paragraph 2
- Generally better suited for offensive teams, since its only defensive utility is immunity to electric
- The best way to use this set is with Volt-Turn cores or just Volt-Turn spam.
- Teammates like Scizor, Victini, Jirachi, and Flip Turn Keldeo form amazing voltturn cores with thundy because they all lure in Water-types.
- Without NP and with a Timid nature, thundy's damage output isn't as good, so victini is a good choice, since it can deal with basically all of thundy's checks while forming a voltturn core.
- Kyurem can pressure Latias, Kommo-o, Jirachi, and Grass-types, all mons that Thundy lures to then volt switch on them. Kyu also pressures waters along with thundy, making Victini an even better partner.

- Spikes support are good to compensate lack of power. Skarm and Mew are good setters/suicide leads.

remove this set. There really isn't much reason to use this. If you wanted a pivot set you should use regular Thundurus which simply does this job better

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

- Grass Knot can be used for more consistent damage on Rhyperior, Krookodile and Quagsire, but is not the best option since you lose ways to hit your other checks.

Mention Agility

Mention the pivot set here instead but say regular Thundy does it better

- Choice Scarf is quite fast and outspeeds scarf rachi and tini, but taking Stealth Rock damage is a nono and other scarfers still outspeed you.

- Thunder + Weather Ball on rain teams hits all the Grounds that check it for big damage, but rain just isn't very good because Politoed sucks.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Chansey**: Chansey can take any hit from Thundurus-T and pressure it with Toxic + Seismic Toss while healing off the damage with Soft-Boiled.

I don't think Chansey is worth its own point tbh. +2 Focus Blast is a 2HKO, which should force the Chansey user to spam Soft-Boiled. This puts you in scenario where you can plot up again, but ofc there is the downside of needing to hit but that isn't something you account for in analysis. I would make a point called specially defensive walls and put Chansey, AV Tangrowth, etc. in there. Say how they can give it troubles but after a NP it has the ability to break through them. You can remove the AV point as a result.

**Latias**: Latias stomachs every hit from Thundurus-T aside from a boosted Sludge Wave, which does 70% max. It can also Roost off any damage from other moves. Latias outspeeds Thundurus and can threaten it with its powerful Draco Meteor.

**Assault Vest Pokemon**: AV Tangrowth and AV Tapu Bulu don't fear any of Thundurus-T's attacks aside from Sludge Wave and can remove its item with Knock Off and fish for poisons with Sludge Bomb or outright KO it with Horn Leech, respectively.

**Faster Pokemon**: Common Choice Scarfers like Latias and Nihilego pressure Thundurus-T very easily, and can pressure it even without one. Neither of these scarfers are common. I'd change the Latias example to Victini and just remove the word common. Every offensive Pokémon that is faster than Thundurus-T like Terrakion and Keldeo pressures it due to its mediocre bulk. Also mention Mamoswine with Ice Shard and some other prior's users like Sucker Bisharp etc.

[OVERVIEW]

- Has the coverage necessary to get past every one of its checks. Sludge Wave for Tangrowth and Tapu Bulu, Psychic for Amoonguss and Nidoqueen, Focus Blast for Chansey and Rhyperior. note that it wont be able to fit all of them
- Absurdly high Special Attack and good Speed letting it outspeed base 100s lets it wallbreak well add some examples here so its strengths are less vague
- Useful ability blocks Volt Switch from Zeraora, but Thundurus-T takes a lot of damage from Zeraora's other moves and fails to KO it back without landing two Focus Blasts.
- Weakness to Stealth Rock mandates use of Heavy-Duty Boots, limiting its wallbreaking ability. rephrase so it explicitly has "can't run a boosting item" since these are for newer players
- Speed isn't bad but still loses to Latias, Zeraora, Nihilego, Keldeo and Terrakion, so it is easily forced out.
can prolly mention this closer to the base 100s point or it being inferior to incarnate
- Extremely frail and can't take common priority like Aqua Jet and Sucker Punch
id include accelerock, only like bisharp is running sucker anyway so idk about using "common"
- Sadly overshadowed by its Incarnate form, which is way faster and thus improves its matchup against Pokemon like Keldeo and Terrakion. The Incarnate form can also use a physical Bulk Up set to get past Specially Defensive walls like Latias and Chansey. BU thundy ain't it

the overview kinda goes all over the place and should be organized a bit such as positives -> negatives

[SET COMMENTS]

Paragraph 1
- Nasty Plot lets Thundurus-T boost its Special Attack to astronomical levels, leaving very few Pokemon capable of taking more than one hit from it. For example, Latias is normally capable of taking unboosted Sludge Waves very easily, but after a Nasty Plot, it is 2HKOed. Chansey also can't take more than one Focus Blast after a boost and Assault Vest Tangrowth is 2HKOed too. Specially defensive Scizor and Jirachi are also 2HKOed by a Thunderbolt after a boost. idt u need to specify what moves are doing the 2hkoing since most of these are just obvious typing, latias is fine to keep
- Thunderbolt is your main STAB and is used to hit Pokemon like Jirachi and Scizor, since they resist or are immune to your other main move options. stab doesn't need to be explained when there isn't anything notable
- Heavy-Duty Boots helps Thundurus come in to pick off threats without having to worry about Stealth Rock, staying out of range from priority from Pokemon Diggersby and Scizor. use diff priority here like lycan, diggs is prob fine but scizor rarely runs QA
- Life Orb is an option to boost the damage output but leaves it vulnerable to Stealth Rock and makes Thundurus-T take recoil damage. add some examples of kills it can get with LO power, when is it worth having?

Paragraph 2
- Fits on offensive/hyper offensive teams because of its Electric- and Ground-type immunity, compressing two immunities in one slot.
- Has difficulty dealing with faster mons like Nihilego or specially defensive ones like Chansey, so a teammate like Terrakion helps by pressuring both of those. separate these and give more examples of checks/walls/answers
- Amoonguss can be annoying too, so Victini helps by forming a Volt-Turn core. Thundurus-T brings Victini on Grass-types to then pressure them.
- Tapu Bulu doesn't like dealing with Skarmory, Celesteela, and Tangrowth. Thundurus-T can pressure them with Thunderbolt + Sludge Wave and Tapu Bulu deals with Ground-types like Rhyperior, Krookodile, and Nidoqueen. The grass teammate examples can probably be reworded since most of the info is dependent on the coverage chosen
- Pokemon that can take on Latias easily like Azumarill and Primarina or faster Pokemon like Zeraora and Choice Scarf Krookodile are good partners too. Thundurus-T in return threatens with Sludge Wave the Grass-types that wall the aforementioned Pokemon. change wording here too since lati isn't gonna struggle w grasses
some mentions of mons that appreciate the psychic coverage should be included since it's the main slash

- Spikes support from Skarmory and Mew helps Thundurus-T to not really on Nasty Plot too much and risk being KOed while setting up or having to predict switches.
- Sticky Web support from Araquanid and Ribombee fixes Thundurus-T's mediocre Speed and lets it outspeed threats in couldn't previously, like Keldeo and Terrakion. note it's still vulnerable to boots users and Latias still

mention screen teams since they're more relevant than webs and said HO teams earlier

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

- Grass Knot can be used for more consistent damage on Rhyperior, Krookodile and Quagsire, but is not the best option since you lose ways to hit your other checks. Dark Pulse works as a niche coverage move too since Latias is a huge pain
- Agility sets aim to fix Thundurus-T's unimpressive Speed, but the lack of power from a Nasty Plot boost makes this option worse. Its Incarnate form outclasses the Agility set completely, being able to also set Nasty Plot with already good Speed. expand on it a bit, agility has some pros
- A normal pivoting set with Volt Switch is an option but is completely outclassed by its Incarnate form, which has better Speed. this is really vague with "normal", just write out what it runs
- Thunder + Weather Ball on rain teams hits all the Ground-types that check Thundurus-T for big damage, but rain just isn't very good because Politoed sucks.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Latias**: Latias stomachs every hit from Thundurus aside from a boosted Sludge Wave, which does 70% max. It can also Roost off any damage from other moves. Latias outspeeds Thundurus and can threaten it with its powerful Draco Meteor. amount sludge does isn't worth mentioning, include threat of it using thundy to set up CM on

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: AV Tangrowth and AV Tapu Bulu don't fear any of Thundurus-T's attacks aside from Sludge Wave and can remove its item with Knock Off and fish for poisons with Sludge Bomb or outright KO it with Horn Leech, respectively. Chansey can also stall it out with Toxic + Seismic Toss while healing off the damage with Soft-Boiled, although it can't take more than one Focus Blast after a Nasty Plot.
AV bulu has coverage to hit thundy with so it prob wont click horn leech, it also isnt that bad given that both tang and bulu need to scout for sludge first so it can be toned down

**Faster Pokemon and Priority Users**: Choice Scarfers like Victini and Nihilego pressure Thundurus-T very easily and faster offensive Pokémon like Terrakion and Keldeo threaten it due to its mediocre bulk. Priority users Like Azumarill, Bisharp, and Mamoswine can pick off Thundurus-T even if it isn't weakened. should be the first bullet imo

[OVERVIEW]

Due to its amazing Special Attack and unique Speed bring up its strong coverage instead of its Speed here, Thundurus-T is a formidable wallbreaker in UU. Its absurdly high 145 base Special Attack 2HKoes Pokemon such as Amoonguss and Hatterene even unboosted and its unique base 101 Speed lets it outspeed base 100s like Victini and Jirachi. It also has the coverage necessary to get past every one of its checks. Sludge Wave is used for Tangrowth and Tapu Bulu, Psychic hits Amoonguss and Nidoqueen, and Focus Blast is aimed at Chansey and Rhyperior. This is all solid information but I'd find a way to condense it, since right now it's a bit wordy. Shortening to one sentence with something along the lines of "It has the coverage to get past its checks with moves like Sludge Wave, Psychic, and Focus Blast" should work (no need for specific examples), though be sure to phrase it with your own words. Thundurus-T also has a useful ability, allowing it to block Volt Switch attempts from Zeraora, but it takes a lot of damage from Zeraora's other moves and fails to KO it back without landing two Focus Blasts. this feels like fluff/a bit clunky. I'd just say that this allows it to dissuade Electric-types from clicking Volt Switch and throw Thundurus in as another example. Despite its amazing Special Attack, Thundurus-T can't fit all of its coverage moves at the same time, making it so it will be walled by at least some of its checks. It is also extremely frail and slower than Pokemon like Nihilego, Terrakion, Latias, making it prone to being revenge killed by them and other faster threats. It also can't take priority moves like Accelerock and Aqua Jet. Thundurus-T's weakness to Stealth Rock mandates the use of Heavy-Duty Boots, and limits its wallbreaking capabilities by removing items such as Life Orb and Choice Specs from its list of options. Finally, Thundurus-T faces competition with its own Incarnate form, which is way faster and thus improves its matchup against Pokemon like Keldeo and Terrakion. If you can avoid getting too wordy I'd also add that base Thundurus can more convincingly run mixed attacking sets.

Nasty Plot lets Thundurus-T boost its Special Attack to astronomical levels, leaving very few Pokemon capable of taking more than one hit from it. For example, Latias is normally capable of taking unboosted Sludge Waves very easily, but after a Nasty Plot, it is 2HKOed. This is also the case with other Pokemon like Chansey, Tangrowth, and Jirachi, which are all 2HKOed after a boost. This info is rather straightforward (in the case of explaining what Nasty Plot does) or too much fluff (no need for this much elaboration), so I'd remove it. Psychic hits Amoonguss, Nihilego, Nidoqueen and Kommo-o for a lot of damage, even unboosted remove this. Sludge Wave deals with Tapu Bulu, Tangrowth, and hits Latias neutrally. Focus Blast is used for Chansey, Rhyperior, and Krookodile. Heavy-Duty Boots helps Thundurus come in to pick off threats without having to worry about Stealth Rock, staying out of range from priority moves coming from Pokemon such as Lycanroc-D and Azumarill. When not running Sludge Wave, Life Orb can be considered. After a Nasty Plot, Thundurus-T can 2HKO Latias with a Thunderbolt and AV Tangrowth and Rhyperior with Psychic after Stealth Rock damage, thus avoiding the chance of missing Focus Blast in the latter case. I think this information is too specific and could be cut/condensed. I'd instead just say that Life Orb is an option for putting more power behind its attacks, which increases its breaking prowess. The drawback you have listed is fine though. However, not using Heavy-Duty Boots leaves Thundurus-T vulnerable to Stealth Rock and makes it take recoil damage, leaving it more open to being KOed by priority moves just say revenge killed instead.

Thundurus fits on offensive and hyper offensive teams because of its Electric- and Ground-type immunity, compressing two immunities in one slot these really aren't the reasons it fits on this particular archetype - its nature as a wallbreaker and potential sweeper is what makes it best suited for offense. I'd say that instead of what you currently have here. It can't deal with faster threats like Nihilego and Latias, a Choice Scarf user such as Krookodile can help it by removing those Pokemon. Defensive Pokemon such as Chansey and Rotom-H can take Thundurus-T's unboosted attacks and force it out, so teammates like Terrakion and Keldeo help by pressuring them. Keldeo in particular can help by wearing down the checks it has in common with Thundurus-T, like Kommo-o put Latias here too. Amoonguss can be annoying for Thundurus-T, so Victini helps by forming a Volt-Turn core. Thundurus-T brings Victini on Grass-types to then pressure them. Thundurus isn't running a pivoting move and it can also bypass Amoonguss on its own since it usually opts to run Psychic, so I'd remove this. Zeraora appreciate Thundurus-T's Psychic-type coverage, as it destroys walls such as Amoonguss, Nidoqueen, and Kommo-o for it. Tapu Bulu is a great teammate regardless of chosen coverage. Thundurus-T can remove Skarmory and Celesteela with Thunderbolt, and depending on specific coverage, can help to get rid of specific Tapu Bulu checks. If Psychic is chosen, Thundurus-T pressures Nidoqueen, Amoonguss, and Kommo-o. If you opt for Sludge Wave, Tangrowth, Latias, and opposing Tapu Bulu are easier to deal with. In return, Tapu Bulu deals with Ground-types like Rhyperior, Krookodile, and Quagsire for Thundurus-T. Pokemon that can take on Latias like Azumarill and Primarina or faster Pokemon like Zeraora and Choice Scarf Krookodile different example here since you already have Krook listed above are good partners too. put your sentence on Zeraora here instead of where you have it so it can directly follow the mention of it being good Speed control vs. Latias. Thundurus-T in return threatens with Sludge Wave the Grass-types that wall the aforementioned Latias answers. This sentence is kind of confusing and not very cohesive so I'd just remove it. Dual Screens coming from Pokemon like Grimmsnarl and Alolan Ninetales help Thundurus-T's terrible say something like iffy or poor here instead of terrible defensive stats and give it more chances setup. Spikes support from Skarmory and Mew helps Thundurus-T to not rely on Nasty Plot too much and risk being KOed while setting up or having to predict switches. Sticky Web support from Araquanid and Ribombee fixes Thundurus-T's mediocre Speed and lets it outspeed threats it couldn't previously, like Keldeo and Terrakion. However, it is still vulnerable to Latias, priority users like Lycanroc-D, and Heavy-Duty Boots users such as Zeraora. this is fluff and can be removed

Grass Knot can be used for more consistent damage on Rhyperior, Krookodile and Quagsire, but is not the best option since you lose ways to hit other checks. Dark Pulse is an option to better deal with Latias, but the loss in coverage for other checks such as Chansey and Tangrowth is generally not worth it. Agility sets aim to fix Thundurus-T's unimpressive Speed and allow it to outspeed its offensive checks such as Keldeo, Terrakion, and Choice Scarf Krookodile, letting it KO them with its coverage moves. However, the lack of power from a Nasty Plot boost makes this option worse Agility is often run alongside Nasty Plot so instead of pointing this out as your drawback just bring up that it gives up coverage. Its Incarnate form outclasses the Agility set completely, being able to also set Nasty Plot with already good Speed. This both isn't that accurate and isn't necessary info so I'd remove it. A pivoting set with Volt Switch / Thunderbolt / Psychic / Focus Blast is an option, but is completely say something like generally instead of completely since the current wording is a bit extreme outclassed by its Incarnate form, which has better Speed I'd add Thundy-I's capacity to run mixed sets. Thunder + Weather Ball on rain teams hits all the Ground-types that check Thundurus-T for big damage, but rain is not a very optimal playstyle due to Politoed's lack of usefulness outside of Drizzle. I'd rather you just bring up that the specific set in question is only useful on rain teams and thus hard to fit.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Pokemon and Priority Users**: Choice Scarfers like Victini and Nihilego pressure Thundurus-T very easily and faster offensive Pokémon like Terrakion and Keldeo threaten it due to its mediocre bulk. Priority users Like Azumarill, Bisharp, and Mamoswine can pick off Thundurus-T even if it isn't weakened instead say something along the lines of "with minimal to no chip damage".

**Latias**: Latias can Roost off any damage from Thundurus-T moves aside from a boosted Sludge Wave or Dark Pulse. Dark Pulse is too rare to bring up here It outspeeds Thundurus-T and can threaten it with its powerful Draco Meteor. Calm Mind Latias can also use Thundurus-T as setup fodder.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Assault Vest variants of Tangrowth Tapu Bulu don't fear any of Thundurus-T's attacks aside from Sludge Wave. Chansey can also stall it out with Toxic + Seismic Toss while healing off the damage with Soft-Boiled, although it can't take more than one Focus Blast after a Nasty Plot.

Tag me for another look before this gets sent into GP. QC is also going to discuss whether to keep or remove Sludge Wave from the main set and make it a moves mention so I"ll update you on that before giving this 3/3.

[OVERVIEW]

Due to its amazing Special Attack and wide variety of coverage options, Thundurus-T is a formidable wallbreaker in UU. Its absurdly high 145 base Special Attack 2HKoes lets it 2HKO Pokemon such as Amoonguss and Hatterene, (AC) even unboosted, (AC) and its unique base 101 Speed lets it outspeed base 100s like Victini and Jirachi. It also has the coverage necessary to get past every one of its checks, boasting moves like Focus Blast, Sludge Wave, and Psychic. Thundurus-T also has a useful ability, allowing it Volt Absorb also allows Thundurus-T to block Volt Switch attempts from Zeraora and Thundurus, but it is slower than them and takes a lot of damage from their coverage moves. Despite its amazing Special Attack, Thundurus-T will be walled by at least some of its checks, since it can't fit all of its coverage moves at the same time (RC) making it so it will be walled by at least some of its checks. It is also frail and slower than Pokemon like Nihilego, Terrakion, and Latias, making it prone to being revenge killed by them and other faster threats. It also can't take priority moves like Accelerock and Aqua Jet. Thundurus-T's weakness to Stealth Rock almost (you mention LO as an option later) mandates the use of Heavy-Duty Boots, and which limits its wallbreaking capabilities by removing items such as Life Orb and Choice Specs from its list of standard options. Finally, Thundurus-T faces competition with its own Incarnate form, as it can run mixed sets more reliably and is way faster, improving its matchup against Pokemon like Keldeo, Latias, and Terrakion.

[SET COMMENTS]

Psychic hits Amoonguss, Nihilego, Nidoqueen, (AC) and Kommo-o for a lot of damage. Sludge Wave deals with Tapu Bulu (RC) and Tangrowth, and it hits Latias neutrally. Life Orb is an option to boost Thundurus-T's damage output to even scarier levels. However, not using Heavy-Duty Boots leaves Thundurus-T vulnerable to Stealth Rock and makes it take recoil damage, leaving it more open to being revenge killed.

Thundurus-T fits best on offensive offense and hyper offensive offense teams due to its amazing Special Attack and useful Speed (RC) allowing it to wallbreak and sweep after only one boost. It can't deal with faster threats like Nihilego and Latias; (comma -> semicolon) a Choice Scarf user such as Krookodile can help it by removing those Pokemon. Defensive Pokemon such as Chansey and Rotom-H can take Thundurus-T's unboosted attacks and force it out, so teammates like Terrakion and Keldeo help by pressuring them. Keldeo in particular can help by wearing down the checks it has in common with Thundurus-T, like Kommo-o and Latias. Zeraora appreciates Thundurus-T's Psychic-type coverage, as it destroys Psychic destroying walls such as Amoonguss, Nidoqueen, and Kommo-o for it. Tapu Bulu is a great teammate, (AC) regardless of chosen coverage. as Thundurus-T can remove Skarmory and Celesteela with Thunderbolt (RC) and depending on specific coverage, can help to get rid of other specific Tapu Bulu checks with either of its third slot coverage moves. If Psychic is chosen, Thundurus-T pressures Nidoqueen, Amoonguss, and Kommo-o for it. If you opt for Sludge Wave, Tangrowth, Latias, and opposing Tapu Bulu are easier to deal with. In return, Tapu Bulu deals with Ground-types like Rhyperior, Krookodile, and Quagsire for Thundurus-T. Pokemon that can take on Latias like Azumarill and Primarina, or (is this what you meant?) faster Pokemon like Zeraora, (AC) are good partners too. Dual screens coming from Pokemon like Grimmsnarl and Alolan Ninetales help Thundurus-T's poor defensive stats and give it more chances for setup. Spikes support from Skarmory and Mew helps Thundurus-T to not rely on Nasty Plot too much and risk being KOed while setting up or having be forced to predict switches. Sticky Web support from Araquanid and Ribombee fixes Thundurus-T's mediocre Speed and lets to let it outspeed threats it couldn't previously, like Keldeo and Nihilego.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Grass Knot can be used for more consistent damage on Rhyperior, Krookodile, (AC) and Quagsire, but it is not the best option since you lose ways Thundurus-T will lose a way to hit other checks like Latias and Tapu Bulu. Dark Pulse is an option to better deal with Latias, but, (AC) again, (AC) the loss in coverage for other checks such as Chansey and Tangrowth is generally not worth it. Agility sets aim to fix Thundurus-T's unimpressive Speed and allow it to outspeed its offensive checks, (AC) such as Keldeo, Terrakion, and Choice Scarf Krookodile. However, by giving up one of its coverage moves, it will be forced to switch out against some of its checks. (having to give up a coverage move implies agility is only viable alongside NP and not to replace it. If that is true, you should probably explicitly say "Agility + Nasty Plot sets aim...") A pivoting set with Volt Switch / Thunderbolt / Psychic / Focus Blast is an option, but Thundurus-T is generally outclassed in this role by its Incarnate form, which has better Speed. Thunder + Weather Ball on rain teams hits all the Ground-types that check Thundurus-T for big damage, but this set only works on these specific teams, and thus is hard to fit.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Pokemon and Priority Users**: Choice Scarfers Scarf users like Victini and Nihilego pressure Thundurus-T very easily, (AC) and faster offensive Pokémon like Terrakion and Keldeo threaten it due to its mediocre bulk. Priority users Like like Azumarill, Bisharp, and Mamoswine can pick off Thundurus-T after some prior chip damage.

**Latias**: Latias can Roost recover off any damage from Thundurus-T's moves with Roost aside from a boosted Sludge Wave or Dark Pulse. It outspeeds Thundurus-T and can threaten it with its powerful Draco Meteor. Calm Mind Latias can also use Thundurus-T as setup fodder.

"or Dark Pulse. Dark Pulse is too rare to bring up here"

Milak ready for a 2nd check and sorry Finland for taking so long to implement the first one :s
If DP is worth a mention in OO but not worth a mention for the specific Pokemon you'd use it against in C/C, i'd either recommend emphasizing its extreme rareness in OO or doing something like "a boosted Sludge Wave or the very rare Dark Pulse"
