Tim Hortons appreciation thread

post about the greatest triumph of Canadian Capitalism (CC for short) Tim Hortons.

tim hortons was definitely canadian at the start. however, the "canadian capitalism" claim no longer holds true in the modern day

the majority (51%) owners of restaurant brands international (the parent company of tim horton's) are the brazilian investment firm 3G capital
restaurant brands international itself was formed in a merger between tim horton's and burger king, and expanded by acquisition of popeye's

Tim Horton's is Brazilian, and is the sister company of an American burger chain and a chain that sells "Louisiana chicken"

Yup, not gonna lie Tims isn't that great. Their donuts and timbits can be good, but the other food items and drinks not so much. I think A&W is a much better Canadian restaurant, even if it might not be as iconic or successful as Tims.
