I was surprised to see that there wasn´t any Tyranitar discussion so I created this thread.
Tyranitar. One of the most popular Pokemon of the new metagame. Sand Stream gives it a x1,5 boost in special defense. And in this offensive metagame, it has become one of the most popular Pokemon. It has versality and power. It has a high durability and with prediction is difficult to be countered.

Some movesets:

Tyranitar @ Choice Band/Life Orb
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Pursuit
-Crunch

The popular choice bander. Hits hard, very hard. Another option is Life Orb. You´ll can change your attack, but you´ll be recoiled.

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
-Dragon Dance
-Taunt
-Earthquake/Crunch
-Rock Slide/Stone Edge

The Dragon Dancer. Taunt now lasts 2-4 turns, making DDTar more godly.

There are some more movesets that I don´t remember (and the Boah moveset I´m thinking I´m not sure if is the actual correct Boah moveset).

Tyranitar gets Fire Punch from ADV, which isn't too bad of an option on the Choice Band set, because it hits stuff like Bronzong and Torterra very hard and can help with prediction.

Two of the deadliest things about Choice Band Tyranitar are that it can screw up many of its supposed "counters" with a Crunch Defense down and it is nearly impossible to OHKO outside of Fighting and double boosted Ground attacks. Bulky waters have nothing against a full health Tyranitar because it 3HKOs or 2HKOs every one of them with Crunch, and 2HKOs every one except Swampert with Stone Edge, while the standard 266 Special Attack does 45-54% on Tyranitar with Surf. Though that is a possible 2HKO, the "bulky" water Pokemon that can afford that much Special Attack are Milotic, Vaporeon, and Starmie, who get the low end of the Defense stick, Slowbro, who is weak to Crunch, and Manaphy, who seems to be the only one that can actually survive, and who still needs to fear random number generation and defense downs.

Why not use Crunch or Pursuit? It will still own pretty nicely.

This is mad, a team without this fails IMO, with garchomp and rhyperior and skarmory sanstream Teams 4tw ^^

There are some clever ways around Tyranitar; One of which is Sudowoodo w/ Focus Band. Sudowoodo can OHKO Tyranitar with Low Kick after surviving a hit from Tyranitar. Yes its a revenge killing strategy of sorts, but its pretty effective, because once people start to realize Sudowoodo can OHKO their tyranitar they will start switching out on it, giving you free hits left and right (if they are trying to save tyranitar...) There are some other ways to counteract tyranitar (if on an even footing), Dragon Dancing Feraligatr w/ Brick Break and the right setup will OHKO Tyranitar after 1 dragon dance... amung other things. But it is true there are few things that can safely "switch" into Tyranitar tho.

Why don't you just use Waterfall? Sure, Brick Break gets 300 BP on Tyranitar, but 240 BP from Waterfall is pretty strong, too. I just don't think it's worth it to put Brick Break on Feraligatr just for Tyranitar.

The difference between Waterfall and Brick Break in BP is enough such that Waterfall with a certain setup (depending on various setups you could use) is not a OHKO, but Brick Break is a guarenteed OHKO. Brick Break is also for faster KOs on Weavile, Blissey, Snorlax amung others... Plus Brick Break is what sets asside (somewhat) Feraligatr from Gyarados as a Dragon Dancer. I am not saying you wouldnt use Waterfall, I am saying Brick Break can be used to make sure that you KO Tyranitar... Plus it hits Bulky Defensive Waters on the switch better than Waterfall.

Why would Blissey and Snorlax switch in on DDancing Feraligatr? Weavile wouldn't switch in either, unless it's the last Pokemon, or Feraligatr is weak. IIRC, Feraligatr needs two Dragon Dances to outsepeed Weavile, by which point Weavile would've KO'd Feraligatr with Night Slash.

Earthquake hits other Bulky Waters harder than Brick Break.
