Timid or Modest hmm

For a special sweeper such as Porygon-Z, should I go with Timid for the speed boost, or Modest for the sp. atk boost,

It will know
Nasty Plot
Dark Pulse
Tri attack (Adaptability goes with this)
Ice beam

I just dont know if speed is more important that spec atk on this guy

Porygon-Z is in a tough spot in terms of speed where it's not outspeeding much of importance when it maxes it out, with nature and everything. Thus I would suggest modest.

If you want it to have nasty plot go with timid.
Personally I think timid is better all around since he can kill almost anything, and the only thing that would prevent that would be speed.

IMO, I like modest, as timid doesn't allow you to outspeed anything significant because you're base 90 speed. Maybe if you want to go faster than raichu or something? lol.

I'd Scarf and go modest... more SpA that way and you'd outspeed shitloads still

arg i think ill do both, timid seems good, but i would be mad if a poke survived my porys attack with like 2 hp just cuz i didnt use modest, i guess ill go modest and only use nasty plot if i get a good chance

Yeah, modest should still go with max speed. Timid kind of takes a chunk out of P-Z's satk.

Just the reason of outspeeding Modest/Adamant Salamence is enough to use Timid, IMO.
Also you'll go faster than any Heracross unless they're Choice Scarfed.

porygon z will only have base 90 spd. if timid, and salemence has base 100 spd. if it has a netural speed nature.

And jolly heracross outspeeds timid porygon z too

Shoot, and I just finished training a Timid Porygon-Z. Nobody ever said Modest > Timid in my RMT thread :(.

Mine is Modest, with this:

Tri-Attack
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Agility

Since he's so slow, Agility helps alot.. he OHKO's heaps of stuff even without the Nasty Plot, but I use him basically to damage other team, he doesn't "need" to kill them, since I play him real early in the game usually..
I get him in before anyone starts dragon dancing, that's for sure. >_o

Modest, deffinetly modest, if your so concerned about its speed you coul ev train sp attack and speed? or give it Trick room or Agillity.

I went modest and suggest you do too. I received some good advice once that a modest Porygon Z only needs 15 or more speed IVs and he can reach 198 speed. This means without any speed EVs it outspeeds anything without a choice scarf with one agility.

That is of course if you want to use agility over nasty plot...
