Tinkatuff @ Eviolite
Ability: Pickpocket
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Knock Off
- Thunder Wave
- Encore
This Herta fangirl is NFE's defining wall thanks to its impressive bulk; incredible typing; Pickpocket, allowing it to regain an Eviolite after its own is removed with Knock Off; ability to be an excellent Stealth Rock setter against Quaxwell and endless amount of utility options! Tinkatuff is NFE's most consistent Knock Off user, allowing it to severely debilitate other walls such as Quaxwell and Koffing while also harming Choice item users such as Thwackey and Girafarig. Thunder Wave cripples faster threats such as Raboot and Drakloak. Finally, Encore prevents setup sweepers such as Girafarig and Duosion from setting up freely while also locking other utility Pokemon such as Hisuian Sliggoo and opposing Tinkatuff into unfavorable moves, allowing easy switch ins for powerful attackers. Tinkatuff finds itself on practically every playstyle but is primarily seen as a sturdy wall on balance and offensive teams. Thunder Wave makes it easier for slower wallbreakers like Pignite and Gabite to smash holes through other teams. Shutting down Pokemon like Ivysaur and Vigoroth can enable Pokemon otherwise checked by them, such as Thwackey and Monferno, to more effectively break down a team.
