Titans and ninjas: My second RMT

Hello, I'm daedalus1103, and I am doing my second RMT, with some of the most powerful and underrated pokemon in my favorite tier to date:UU. Even though the team combos and synergy could be better, this team is still a force to be reckoned with. Now, onto the team!

Weavile @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Knock Off
- Ice Punch
- Low Kick

This is my lead 99 percent of the time. I use fake out to get some prior damage on anything that comes or stays in, which then are usually KOed by a STAB Knock Off or Ice Punch. The focus sash allows him to get a clean 2HKO on a problematic Scarfer or another threat. He also can just outspeed and finish a weakened Mienshao or heracross, who could run over crucial members of my team. He also doubles as a lure for fire attacks, where I can just switch into Houndoom for flash fire.

Banned to BL, working on replacements

Donphan @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake

Standard Donphan. Not much to say. Gets up rocks, spins away any of my hazards, which can hurt Houndoom and his cleaning abilities. He has ice shard as a form of priority and EQ as STAB. Dolphin can also take at least one hit if there is no good switches as well. Not necessarily fun to use, but a it is very important functioning member of my team.

Amoonguss @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Spore
- Giga Drain
- Clear Smog
- Synthesis

Amoonguss is a very solid regenerator wall, with his typing giving me a fighting and water type check. Spore is to stop an incoming threat so it can be killed later. I use Giga Drain as a STAB move as well as some recovery. Clear Smog stops setup sweepers, particularly Crocune, while giving a small STAB boost. Synthesis makes Amoonguss almost impossible to kill, completely healing a heavy hit. Amoonguss also lures fire type moves so houndoom can come in.

Slowbro @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 244 Def / 248 HP / 16 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Calm Mind
- Slack Off
- Psyshock

Slowbro replaces Crocune on my team. He is bulky, has reliable healing, and forms a good Regenerator core with Amoonguss, and able to heal it's health on switching is really good. The one thing that it has that Crocune lacked was a more reliable healing source, and serving better generally as a defensive Pokemon. He also has a little more offensive presence to really give a boost to my team.

Hitmonlee (M) @ Normal Gem
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- High Jump Kick
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

Here is hitmonlee, my primary revenge killer and the one thing almost no one is expecting. Once he gets off that first fake out, he activates the Normal Gem, doubles his speed, and proceeds to outspeed every thing in the tier, minus the two fire type scarfers. High jump kick deals huge damage to everything not resisted, while Stone Edge and Earthquake are there for coverage. This guy can sweep and destroy unprepared teams.

Houndoom @ Houndoominite
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Fire Blast
- Dark Pulse
- Destiny Bond

Last, but certainly not least, is the KING of the UU tier, the (nearly) perfect powerhouse archetype. Here's how things usually go. Pokemon uses fire move, I switch in, get flash fire, mega evolve, nasty plot on the switch, than destroy everything. Very little resists both of Mega Houndoom's STAB's, and if it can't kill one pokemon, it brings it down with it with destiny bond. Very few live to see Megadoom for this reason.

So, this is the end of my RMT. Please give constructive criticism to help me make this team the best it can be. Thanks again!

This is a pretty cool team! This said, it has some fatal flaws. You are severely weak to Physical Fighting types, letting stronger pokemon such as Mienshao and Heracross to blitz through you with little to no issue. This however can be relieved, and outside of this the team is rather solid. Setup sweepers also can give your team a hard time, so a solid revenge killer is also necessary.

Looking over the team, to relieve the weakness to the previously stated threats, I reccomend changing CroCune, to CM Slowbro, who does the same role, but doesn't have to rely on the unreliable RestTalk, can act as a better pivot midgame with Regenerator, and has slightly more offensive presence. It also has access to Psyshock and Toxic, who can help it get past threats that it normally cannot such as Special Walls.

The next solution is to replace Hitmonlee with Scarf Mienshao. Simply put, Hitmonlee is not a very good revenge killer, as it can be easily forced out and can as a result lose its precious unburden boost. It is also susceptible to common priority, making it a unreliable sweeper. Mienshao's strong High Jump Kick, amazing speed, and access to the precious U-Turn makes it a one of a kind revenge killer, and can clean weakened teams with ease using High Jump Kick, with no need for setup.

Fun team! Hope I helped! :]

Mienshao @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Reckless / Regenerator
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Stone Edge
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Weavile is now BL, so you'll need to find a replacement for it on your team. Mienshao can fulfil a similar kind of role as a replacement for it, but you'll need to put something else in its place.

Thanks guys! I know weavile is BL, so I need something to fill for it. I like the CM slowbro idea, but am not ready to give up on hitmonlee yet, though I will try scarfshao. I will update the OP soon. If you guys could brainstorm Weavile replacements, that would be cool.

Stall troubles you. Have you considered Stallbreaker Crobat over Weavile? It is a very good offensive lead much like Weavile, but gets momentum, can taunt to prevent hazards, and gets access to roost. It is amazing utility, and can 6-0 most relavant stall teams on its own. It also gets infiltrator, so you can easily take out things such as Substitute Medicham without worry. Just a thought! Cheers!

Crobat @ Black Sludge
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 176 HP / 192 Atk / 4 SDef / 136 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Taunt
- Toxic / Super Fang / U-Turn

Thanks again Brawlfest! My only hesitations are the psychic weakness my team has after Houndoom is down. However, that is kinda good in the way that Megadoom has more switches now so he can set up NP

Added pictures, updated the OP, and replaced Crocune for CM Slowbro, as suggested by Brawlfest

EDIT: Brawlfest, you said my team gets run over by fighting types and setup sweepers, but Amoonguss takes care of both really easily, with it's Poison typing + Clear Smog.

Yeah I'm seconding Brawlfest's suggestion of Choice Scarf Mienshao over Hitmonlee--like Brawl said Hitmonlee is honestly a pretty shitty revenge killer because a) it only works once and b) its Fake Out isn't even that strong considering it's not STAB and the Normal Gem nerf. Shao is much more reliable in general at the roles it fulfills: revenge killer, cleaner, Fighting offense, etc since it can actually switch out without completely screwing itself over.

Also you may want to consider specially defensive Rhyperior over Donphan as currently you're very weak to Mega Houndoom, as it can force out several members of your team and set up an NP, and 2HKOes your whole team after a boost. Going specially defensive also gives you a sturdier check to Electric-types, as thanks to Solid Rock and heavy investment it can shrug off HP Ice unlike Donphan. The main thing you lose is hazard control, so an option to solve that is to use Brawlfest's suggestion of Crobat but with Defog on the moveset. Using Crobat also gives you a good check to Scarf Heracross locked into Megahorn, which looking at your team is honestly pretty scary right now.

Oh yeah and you really shouldn't be using max SpA + Modest on Amoonguss as its main purpose on this team is clearly a defensive pivot. I think specially defensive Amoonguss would probably fit this team best, as it can reliably wall Mega Blastoise, Shaymin, Mega Ampharos, and other stuff which can be potentially problematic otherwise. You may also want Sludge Bomb over Clear Smog as well, mainly because it can do actual damage to Shaymin and M-Amphy rather than just forcing a PP war.

Mienshao @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Regenerator / Reckless
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Aerial Ace

Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Atk / 244 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Rock Blast
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail / Protect

Crobat @ Black Sludge
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 176 HP / 192 Atk / 4 SDef / 136 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Defog
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Taunt / U-turn

Amoonguss: EV spread --> specially defensive, Clear Smog --> Sludge Bomb

Thirding scarf mienshao. He has knock off and u-turn which is good for momentum. It adds much more synergy to the team because you lose the unburden boost when you switch. Meanwhile, because of regenerator, mienshao encourages switching which can keep him healthy.

Anyways, more synergy, more momentum, more mienshao

Ok, switching hitmonlee to scarfshao due to three suggestions and the clear advantages it has. Also using rhyperior, but am going to try Whimsicott as an anti-lead and a taunter to keep hazards in check, while luring fire moves for Houndoom. Will update OP shortly.
