Welcome to the eighth iteration of TLT (Tours' Leaderboard Tournament)! Throughout this tournament, players will battle in a best-of-three/best-of-five (from the 6th round on) format each round, with Smogon's standard tiers being the metagames played. This tournament is also double elimination, so if you're defeated once, you're still in the loser's portion of the bracket.

The tiers that will be played are:
SV Ubers
SV OU
SV UU
SV RU
SV NU
SV PU
SV LC
SV DOU
SV Monotype

In order to fairly determine the three of these nine tiers played in each individual matchup, players will take turns locking and eliminating tiers among themselves. They'll both lock two tiers, followed by eliminating one tier each, thus leaving five tiers to be played. The lower seeded player will lock the first tier, followed by the higher seed player. Then the lower seeded player will eliminate the first tier, followed by the higher seed player, and it will repeat in that order two more times. The higher seed player picks what tier is played first of the three tiers. After that, the loser of game one picks which of the two tiers is played for game two etc.

Basic tournament rules - read these, especially if you're new to forum tours
Rules:
Sportsmanship: Don't be an ass. Not to your opponents, not on PS, not on Smogon, not to me. A bit of friendly banter is ok, but please know where to draw the line. Think before you type, please.

Scheduling and Activity Wins: Contact your opponent as quickly as possible on their Smogon wall, and look out for them on PS. You will have one week from the posting of the week's matches to get it done. Extensions will be for two days after the scheduled deadline, and no further. If your opponent is not responding to your post on their wall, cannot be found on PS, or miss multiple scheduled times, make a detailed activity post in the thread letting me know why you deserve the win. No activity post means no activity call. As long as you have visible attempts at scheduling (such as wall posts), you will be fine.

Disconnections and Timer: A timer loss is a loss. No if's, and's, or but's about it. If your opponent is nice enough to replay that's fine, but they are by no means obligated to.

Ghosting and Identity: Don't take or give battle advice or make moves based solely on the suggestions of others, and don't pretend to be someone else in order to play as them. You will be caught, and you will be disqualified from this tournament as well as future PS! tournaments (BLT, PSPL, etc.).

Substitutions: Substitutions will be made only for rounds one & two, with round two subs only being allowed for any participants in the loser's bracket.

Colorednaem predicts (In depth edition):

RoFnA vs Terracotta - Losers final.

Going into losers finals RoFnA has shown to be a very polished player and has had a great run to get here. His strongest tiers are still Mono, dou and ou. His very polished playstyle is still a very consistent but i do think i originally overrated his lack of metagame knowledge as he has shown some decent meta knowledge recently like this snowshrew bring but its nothing great as he still spams very standard (if not outdated) teams. As for a relavent weakness, rofna seems to have a lack of effort in some of his games and brings. For an example in this game he brings a very common knowledge (and outdated) stall team into wesh papilion and for the first 17 or so turns he plays really well, managing to keep hydrapple alive with good read. Then after that point he starts playing passive and basically just folds to tran. This same pattern has happened in a lot of his loses in which he will seems to be not putting his full into either teams brought or just in the game.I do think overall RoFnA is a better player then terracotta.

Going into losers finals Terracotta has shown to be a great player and has had an amazing run so far. Terra is best at ubers, and is pretty good to average in most others with some highlights being pu and ou. He has a slow methodical playstyle that he is able to use to great effect and win with. Terra's revalant weakness is still how they apply their playstyle to offense and games where you need to play offensively. Against a player like rofna, who knows how to play aggresive at points this could be a problem. Also i believe Terra is a worse player then rofna

The tiers being played are (Ubers, Mono, Ou, Pu, Ru). Ubers is looking like a pretty assured win for Terra as long as he brings something that does well into balance. Rofna is very good at mono so i believe he will win that even with a supbar mu (the matchup element of mono is overrated). Ou is a toss up as to who is better but im leaning rofna as he is a better player. Pu favors terra, but given the state of the tier i think it could go either way. Ru is a tier that heavily favors terra.

For the actual game, i think that ubers will likely be a terra win in a semi-dominant showing, and mono will be the same unless rofna brings electric into ground. As for ou i think this will be a good game, with this probably being a long methodical game which would favor terra but i still think rofna wins. Pu could honestly go either way and i think whoever wins this game will win the set but it could go to anyone. I am going to lean rofna for this as I've liked what i saw in his replays. Ru will likely be a win for terra unless rofna pulls out the scarf rachi and gets 27 flinches. I am hopeful that this will be one of the best sets in the tour so far and am looking forward to it.

Prediction:
Rofna wins 3-2 Mono Ubers Ou Ru Pu

Tldr: rofna is a cringe mono main
