To catch them is my real test, to train them is my cause...

You guesed it, it's an Ash theme team

Gengar @ choicescarf
timid 252 sp.atk/252 speed

hypnosis
thunderbolt
hp ice
shadowball

My lead, he puts something to sleep if it's a threat to my team and revenge kills. I'll usually switch out to scout for any sleep-absorbers if it's not a threat.

Heracross @ choiceband
adamant 252 atk/252 speed

closecombat
megahorn
stone edge
pursuit

His job is to hit things. He does this well.

Blastoise @ leftovers
bold 252 def/252 hp

surf
icebeam
yawn
rapidspin

Ash's only rapid-spinner and I need a rapid spinner badly for bellyzard.

Gliscor @ leftovers
impish 252 def/252 hp

earthquake
icefang
roost
stealthrock

Thank god Ash recently caught a gligar, because otherwise this team would be ripped apart by Garchomp and co.

Muk @ leftovers
careful 252 hp/172 def/80 sp.def

memento
icepunch
thunderpunch
shadowsneak

His only real purpose is to switch into something that won't 2hko and die so that Charizard can sweep. He's also a cool Gengar counter after it has put something to sleep.

Charizard @ salac
jolly 252 atk/252 speed
substitute
bellydrum
firepunch
earthquake

If I save him for late game, kill any bulky waters, give him support from one team member, along with the death of another, and he can sweep. Impressive I know, but it's all Ash really has for sweep late-game besides maybe Sceptile.

The reason why there's no Pikachu on this team: Ash traded his Pikachu for Sabrina's Haunter (which was originally his) and the Haunter evolved into a Gengar.

Your thoughts on this team?

edit: I realize I fucked up on the title
