So, Cherrim-Sunshine is one of my favourite Grass types of all time, I love the design of the pokemon and It's just so adorable. I've tried to include it in a lot of my teams when playing through genIV. I hope to get a shiny one for my team in XY, but for now I'm just using it on showdown. This team is meant for doubles, and each Pokemon on the team has a different way to lend strengths to Cherrim-Sunshine.
The downsides to her are obvious, her stats are rather lackluster especially if she isn't in Sunshine Form. The only upside other than her aesthetic, is her Ability in doubles/triples format. So, I did my best to design a team around her; that is fun to play, slightly unusual, and works well enough that it's worth playing.
Goodra is one of the many great additions from GenVI, with Sap Sipper it works excellently in combination with Cherrim, taking advantage of that Petal Blizzard to boost his own attack. Sunny Day is just a backup measure, if I can't swap to Charizard or Ninetails, it's certainly worth it as I cannot afford to not have Sunny Day up with Cherrim. Dragon Tail let's me force out Pokemon trying to stat boost, and then Curse is great on Goodra adding some much needed defence. With all the attack upgrades he can get, Outrage lends itself perfectly to the set, being able to deal a lot of damage per turn. I've been finding that my Goodra was getting walled by Fairies extremely easily, and I lost two rounds because of this. While I've been using Sunny Day on him, I think Poison Tail will benefit the set a lot more, and I wish to keep Dragon Tail to deal with Pokemon using Curse/ShellSmash/Stockpile etc.
It's... The... CLAW!!!

Clawitzer @ Life Orb
Ability: Mega Launcher
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Heal Pulse
- Dark Pulse
- Dragon Pulse
- Water Pulse
Clawitzer is probably the most "filler" pokemon in the team, but he still lends himself nicely to the group. He provides some excellent type coverage, mainly giving me some anti-fire to help Cherrim, and his boosted Heal Pulse is excellent to make sure any of my other Pokemon can stay in the fight. I chose a lifeorb/Modest set for him, because I don't really expect to outspeed many with his low speed, and I don't want to lock him into a scarf. I've never used him before, but he does a surprising amount of damage with this set, being able to take down just about anyone with a super effective hit.
I needed a bulkier support Pokemon for my team, something that good redirect or at the very least reduce damage Cherrim would take, while still being able to take/deal damage. As it turns out, Togekiss works out almost perfectly for this roll. With it's new fairy typing, and the access to Follow Me, it stops a ton of sweepers in their tracks from killing anyone else on the team. I took Super Luck instead of it's other abilities, because it almost never outspeeds anyone with the tankier approach I took, so I'm not too concerned with flinching anyone out. The extra chance to ignore defences with Air Slash and instant cast Solar Beam wasn't something I could just pass up. Overall, I'm quite happy with this Pokemon, it attunes quite well to the team and won me one of my favourite matches, helping Ninetales stall out their team.
So far I'm4-0 17-3 with this team, trying not to count the teams that forfeit after their leads being swept away by Heat Wave/Petal Blizzard. It works better than I thought it would've, and I'm quite happy I was able to bring back one of my favourite grass types in my mind. I'm not sure how it would hold up against extremely high rated players, as I'm not the most involved in the competitive scene, but Pokemon has always been one of my favourite Hobbies. I thank anyone that took the time out of their day to look at and read through my team, and I'm certainly open to constructive criticism or ideas on changes to the team.
So, this happened. Is Lister Famous or something? :o http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogondoubles-77300267
PS, this is my first post as a long time lurker, and sorry I couldn't find any animated sprites for the new genVI Pokemon.

Cherrim (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flower Gift
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 60 HP / 252 Atk / 196 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Petal Blizzard
- Rollout
- Facade
- Bullet Seed
I think her set is pretty straightforward, I wanted to run her as the lead of the team and not side her off as a support/stall and just take advantage of the Ability. She doesn't have very good access to type coverage, so her movepool is a little lackluster. Petal Blizzard is her main attack, 90 power STAB AoE with 100% accuracy is nothing to laugh at, and in Sunlight Cherrim hits 360 attack to take advantage of it with. Rollout is one of the few non grass physical moves she can learn, and it works well against flying types, and can scale to take down most opponents if they don't stop it early. Facade is the least used move in the set, but can pull some surprising damage when the enemy tries to Will-O-wisp or Thunder Wave her. Bullet seed is just for getting passed annoying Substallers.
The Blob (1958)

Goodra (F) @ Leftovers

10/10 Heat wave doesn't hit Cherrim

Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Dragon Pulse
- SolarBeam
- Heat Wave
- Ominous Wind
I usually lead him with Cherrim, being able to start the fight with an easy Drought/Heat Wave. Solar Beam provides some good type coverage, dealing more direct damage than Cherrim can, and is definitely worth taking with him considering it's instant cast in Sunlight. Dragon Pulse does a ton of damage to the more than common Latios I seem to run into every game, and Ominous Wind is usually what I use if I'm confident I will wipe out both opposing Pokemon, the chance to boost stats while low, is a major game changer.

Wait, not Serene Grace?

Not just your average Drought-Bot

Ninetales @ Leftovers
Ability: Drought
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Extrasensory
- Confuse Ray
- Will-O-Wisp
- Flamethrower
Ninetales is one of my all time favourite Pokemon, with access to Confuse Ray and Will-O-Wisp it can be extremely annoying for opponents, and not something they can just ignore. The Burn attack drop helps Cherrim immensely, as her weakest stat is most definitely her defence. It's sort of my backup Charizard, without the 4x weakness to rock. Extrasensory provides me with some of the last type coverage I didn't have, Fighting and Poison.
