Togedemaru @ Leftovers
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 HP / 196 SpD / 60 Spe
Careful Nature
- Zing Zap
- Wish
- Spiky Shield
- U-turn

Togedemaru finds its place in the NU tier as a consistent defensive pivot thanks to its useful typing and ability combined with access to U-turn. This allows it to switch into threats such as Vanilluxe, Vikavolt, and Whimsicott, block Volt Switch from Heliolisk and Rotom, and pivot out reliably. Wish allows Togedemaru to keep itself and its teammates healthy throughout the battle. Spiky Shield lets Togedemaru heal itself with Wish more reliably and scout against Choice item users such as Passimian, Vanilluxe, and Braviary; when used with U-turn, this lets Togedemaru keep momentum in its team's favor. Togedemaru often fits on bulky offense and balance teams with Pokemon such as Dhelmise, Slowbro, and Diancie that can take on the Ground-, Fighting-, and Fire-types that it struggles with; these Pokemon also appreciate its Wish support and its efficacy against Vanilluxe and Heliolisk. Lastly, wallbreakers such as Magmortar and Alolan Exeggutor appreciate Togedemaru's ability to bring them in safely via U-turn.

Togedemaru finds its place in the NU tier as a consistent defensive pivot thanks to its useful typing and reliable recovery in Wish + Spiky Shield it's moreso the combination of its typing and ability, which lets it pivot into several top-tier attackers, as well as U-turn that lets it function as a reliable pivot. The recovery can get mentioned too, but U-turn definitely should be brought up here. Togedemaru's typing allows it to check a number of threats including Vanilluxe, Vikavolt, and Whimsicott, while it's Lightning Rod ability allows it to block Volt Switch from Pokemon such as Heliolisk and Rotom this info goes in the previous sentence now. Spiky Shield lets Togedemaru scout against Choice Scarf users such as Passimian and Braviary you can generalize this to Choice item Pokemon and throw in Vanilluxe; when combined with U-turn this lets Togedemaru keep momentum in its team's favour. Togedemaru often fits on bulky offense and balance teams with Pokemon that form defensive cores and appreciate its Wish support. Slowbro, Golbat, and Vileplume can take on the Fighting- and Ground-types that Togedemaru struggles with and appreciate it taking on Vanilluxe and Vikavolt. Diancie and Rhydon are able to take on Fire-types for Togedemaru, they can also stay healthy for longer thanks to the provided Wish support. neither of these two bullets are wrong per se, but I feel they can be conjoined (the ideas conveyed at least. the whole "these pokemon patch up togedemaru's defensive shortcomings and like wish + what it takes on). then you can throw in a sentence about wallbreakers like neckboy, magmortar, etc that appreciate the u-turn support
tag when implemented so I can hit this up with a second check

Togedemaru often fits on bulky offense and balance teams with Pokemon such as Golbat, Slowbro, and Diancie replace Golbat with Dhelmise; Golbat loses to most of the good Ground-types which can take on the Ground-, Fighting-, and Fire-types that it struggles with; these pokemon also appreciate its Wish support as well as it taking on Vanilluxe and Heliolisk. Lastly, wallbreakers such as Magmortar and Alolan Exeggutor appreciate Togedemaru's ability to bring them in via U-turn.
