[OVERVIEW]

Fairy
========

* Togekiss is useful on Fairy teams due to its ability to check Steel-type Pokemon with its Fire-type coverage, and is also a good Choice Scarf user due to Serene Grace Air Slash.
* Togekiss has access to a good ability in Serene Grace, allowing it to flinch foes with Air Slash more often than not and net possible burns with Fire-type coverage.
* A high Special Attack stat gives Togekiss a lot of offensive power, allowing it to KO or deal massive damage to threats that can be troubling for Fairy teams to deal with.
* Togekiss has overall good 85 / 95 / 115 bulk, allowing it to tank hits well while dishing out damage.
* Togekiss also has a diverse movepool featuring moves such as Air Slash and Roost along with amazing coverage moves such as Fire Blast and Aura Sphere, allowing it to perform a variety of roles.
* A unique secondary typing in Flying allows Togekiss to beat threats that would usually be hard for Fairy to deal with such as Mega Venusaur.
* Its Flying typing also gives it an immunity to Ground and a resistance to Grass, which can be useful for Fairy teams, which often lack switch-ins to moves of those types.
* However, Togekiss sports a glaring weakness to the ever-prevalent Stealth Rock, which forces it to take 25% damage every time it switches in.
* While Togekiss offers some defensive value to Fairy teams, it shares weaknesses in Poison and Steel with other Fairy-type Pokemon.
* An underwhelming Speed tier means that Togekiss can't always take advantage of the 60% flinch chance granted by Serene Grace Air Slash, forcing it to use a Choice Scarf. Even then, it is outsped by common Choice Scarf users such as Nihilego and Excadrill along with non-Choice Scarf users like Mega Alakazam and Mega Beedrill.
* While Togekiss may have a good Special Attack stat, it can be underwhelming at times, making Togekiss unable to break specially defensive walls like Chansey without a large number of flinches.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Air Slash is Togekiss's most important move; with a 60% chance of flinching the opponent, it can often grant Togekiss free damage against a foe, enabling Togekiss to knock out foes without taking much damage.
* Fire Blast provides valuable Fire-type coverage against Steel-type Pokemon such as Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn, which often destroy Fairy teams through super effective attacks.
* Flamethrower can be used instead of Fire Blast due to its reliability, but it fails to OHKO bulky Mega Scizor and only has a chance to OHKO Lucario and Bisharp. While it does have better accuracy, Fire Blast is generally superior.
* Aura Sphere is a useful coverage move that hits Heatran super effectively, which is especially helpful because it resists Air Slash and is immune to Fire Blast. Aura Sphere can also hit Rock- and Normal-type Pokemon such as Tyranitar for super effective damage, and hits Bisharp more reliably.
* Trick can be used against bulkier Pokemon to equip them with a Choice Scarf, greatly decreasing their utility. Against Porygon2 and Chansey, it also takes away their Eviolite, rendering them nearly useless. Trick can also be used if Togekiss needs to be able to switch up its moves.

Set Details
========

* 252 Speed EVs and a Timid nature maximize Togekiss's Speed, taking full advantage of its Choice Scarf and allowing it to outspeed a majority of the meta.
* 252 Special Attack EVs give Togekiss as much offensive power as possible.
* Serene Grace is Togekiss's best ability, as it doubles the chance for both an Air Slash flinch and a Fire Blast burn. Togekiss generally relies on this ability to flinch opponents with Air Slash and avoid taking too much damage.
* A Choice Scarf gives Togekiss much more Speed, putting it in a Speed tier above other threats, such as neutral-natured Pheromosa and Greninja, in which it can proceed to fish for flinches with Air Slash.

Usage Tips
========

* Use Togekiss mostly as a revenge killer, as it can outspeed many Pokemon and net KOes with successful flinches.
* Togekiss can also be used to cripple bulky Pokemon such as Chansey by giving them a Choice Scarf, locking them into a non-attacking move.
* However, do not give away the Choice Scarf pointlessly, (comma) as Togekiss becomes very slow without it. Due to this, Togekiss also dislikes having its item removed by Knock Off.
* Pivot Togekiss in when predicting an opponent to use a Ground-type move, as the immunity helps bring Togekiss in for free.
* Avoid letting Togekiss get inflicted with status, as paralysis cripples Togekiss's Speed, rendering its Choice Scarf useless, while Toxic poison wears Togekiss down and makes it unable to deal with walls and common threats.
* Similarly, avoid switching Togekiss into Stealth Rock, as it is weak to it and is worn down quickly, making it susceptible to revenge killers.
* Togekiss can also be used to whittle down Pokemon that team members have trouble with; it can deal heavy damage to Steel-type Pokemon with Aura Sphere and Fire Blast and can also deal chip damage to bulkier Pokemon by flinching them with Air Slash.
* While Togekiss can sometimes deal with walls by flinching them, many carry Toxic, which can easily wear down Togekiss and make its job harder. Therefore, walls such as Chansey should be removed before bringing it in.

Team Options
========

* Due to its weakness to Stealth Rock, Togekiss appreciates Defog support from Tapu Fini.
* Wallbreakers such as Choice Band Tapu Bulu and Choice Specs Tapu Koko can deal heavy damage to Pokemon that Togekiss usually has trouble with such as Mantine.
* Pokemon resistant to Ice such as Azumarill can easily take hits that Togekiss would take huge damage from.
* Azumarill can also break Pokemon that Togekiss has trouble with, such as Heatran, making it a good partner. Z-Belly Drum Azumarill can also benefit greatly from Togekiss crippling bulkier Pokemon with Trick, allowing it to sweep freely.
* Magearna easily switches into Poison-, Ice-, and Rock-type attacks, making it the perfect defensive Pokemon to back Togekiss up. Magearna also has access to Volt Switch, pivoting into Togekiss to get a better matchup. It also appreciates Togekiss soaking up Ground-type attacks for it.
* Pokemon such as Clefable and Klefki can spread paralysis, making Togekiss more effective by combining the chance of flinching with that of full paralysis. Clefable is also a great status absorber that can soak up paralysis and Toxic, (comma) while Klefki can also set up Spikes, which wears down foes to make it easier for Togekiss to defeat them.
* Clefable can also aid Togekiss with Stealth Rock and support from Wish and Heal Bell.

[SET]
name: Babiri Berry (Fairy)
move 1: Air Slash
move 2: Fire Blast
move 3: Aura Sphere
move 4: Roost
item: Babiri Berry
ability: Serene Grace
nature: Timid
evs: 248 HP / 84 SpA / 176 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Air Slash is this set's primary attack and does decent damage while also having a nifty 60% chance to flinch foes Togekiss outspeeds.
* Fire Blast is used to hit Steel-type Pokemon such as Mega Scizor, as Togekiss can take most Steel-type attacks due to the Babiri Berry.
* Aura Sphere hits Heatran, which is useful because Fairy teams can often have trouble with it. With the Babiri Berry, Togekiss can survive any hit, outspeed, and 2HKO or 3HKO it depending on the set.
* Roost recovers 50% of Togekiss's maximum HP, increasing its longevity. Roost also allows it to better beat bulky Pokemon by recovering off any damage.

Set Details
========

* 248 HP EVs nearly maximize Togekiss's HP while giving it an odd HP number, reducing Stealth Rock damage should it need to switch into it. Having odd HP also helps Togekiss get the most out of Roost.
* 176 Speed EVs alongside a Timid nature allow Togekiss to outspeed base 70 Speed Pokemon with a Speed-boosting nature such as Bisharp and Breloom.
* The rest of the EVs are put into Special Attack to ensure that Togekiss can OHKO Mega Scizor with Fire Blast after Stealth Rock damage while also increasing its damage output.
* A Babiri Berry halves the damage taken from one Steel-type move, which can be used to lure in Pokemon such as Mega Scizor and Excadrill. Togekiss can then deal massive damage to them with its Fire-type attacks.
* Serene Grace doubles the chance of secondary effects, giving Air Slash a 60% chance to flinch opposing Pokemon.

Usage Tips
========

* Use Togekiss to lure in Steel-type Pokemon such as Scizor, against which Togekiss can tank any hit due to its Babiri Berry and proceed to KO with Fire Blast.
* Although this Togekiss set is considered a check to Steel-types, never directly switch Togekiss into an attack, which can use up the Babiri Berry unnecessarily and leave Togekiss vulnerable. While this may seem like it is just giving Mega Scizor free turns to set up Swords Dance, it is generally still better to bring in Togekiss to revenge kill, as it can still take a +4 Bullet Punch or a +6 Bullet Punch with Reflect up.
* Use Air Slash against most Pokemon to attempt to flinch them, weakening them for other members of the team such as Tapu Koko and Azumarill.
* Avoid sending Togekiss in if there are still healthy Electric- or Poison-type Pokemon around, as they can switch in with ease and get off free hits because Fairy lacks proper counters to these Pokemon.
* Make sure there are no entry hazards up on the field before sending Togekiss in, as taking damage can decrease Togekiss's overall staying power and make it unable to defeat Steel-type Pokemon.
* Togekiss's defensive capabilities can be utilized to switch into resisted attacks and proceed to use Air Slash to immobilize the foe.

Team Options
========

* Due to this set's ability to check Steel-type Pokemon, it relieves pressure from other Pokemon such as Clefable and Klefki and allows them to run other sets that do better against the metagame as a whole.
* Pokemon weak to Ground, such as Tapu Koko and Magearna, appreciate Togekiss being able switching into Ground-type moves due to its immunity.
* Magearna can also switch into attacks that would usually harm Togekiss heavily such as Poison- and Rock-type moves.
* Pokemon that are usually hampered by the presence of Steel-type Pokemon, such as Clefable, appreciate Togekiss's ability to lure in and check Steel-types.
* Clefable and Klefki can set up entry hazards that allow Togekiss to more easily check Steel-types by dealing residual damage every time they switch in. Klefki can also set up screens that reduce the damage Togekiss takes.
* Heavy hitters such as Tapu Koko and Azumarill like Togekiss dealing chip damage to walls and taking care of Steel-types such as Excadrill, paving the way for a sweep.
* This Togekiss set almost requires Defog support from Tapu Fini. Togekiss dislikes taking residual damage every time it switches in, as that can ruin its ability to check Steel-types and make it more susceptible to attacks.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* A support set with both Thunder Wave and Heal Bell can be used to spread paralysis, making it easier for teammates such as Choice Band Tapu Bulu to wallbreak more effectively. However, Togekiss generally needs the coverage to deal with Steel-type Pokemon, and can often become setup bait for Pokemon such as Mega Scizor without it.
* Defog can also be used on the Choice Scarf set, but Togekiss's weakness to Stealth Rock and Tapu Fini's higher bulk makes it a better choice for Defogging. Defog also limits Togekiss's moveset, forcing it to miss out on a helpful move such as Aura Sphere or Fire Blast, hampering its ability to check Steel-types. Defog also removes entry hazards that Klefki or Clefable set, making it a useless move in some matchups.
* Dazzling Gleam can be used as a reliable Fairy-type STAB move on the Choice Scarf set, but again, Togekiss misses out on valuable coverage, (comma) which leaves it walled by Pokemon such as Mega Scizor or Heatran.

Checks and Counters
===================

Fairy
========

**Nihilego**: Nihilego is Togekiss's best counter, resisting two of its three attacks while taking neutral damage from the third. It also has a high Special Defense stat, making it shrug off the damage Togekiss tries to inflict. Both of its STAB moves are super effective against Togekiss and can OHKO it, and it also often runs Choice Scarf, (comma) making Trick worthless as well.

**Zapdos**: Zapdos, like Nihilego, also resists two of Togekiss's three attack while taking minimal damage from Fire Blast, and can deal massive damage to Togekiss with its Electric-type STAB moves. It also has good bulk and Roost, allowing it to tank Togekiss's hits with relative ease and recover off.

**Electric-type Pokemon**: Most Electric-type Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Xurkitree, Alolan Raichu, and Tapu Koko have high Speed and offensive stats, meaning they can outspeed non-Choice Scarf Togekiss and easily OHKO it. Electric-type Pokemon also resist Air Slash, and Togekiss lacks coverage moves to deal with them. Bulkier Electric-type Pokemon such as Rotom-W take very little damage from Togekiss's moves and can deal massive damage with their STAB moves.

**Steel-type Pokemon**: Togekiss struggles against common Steel-type picks such as Excadrill and Mega Scizor, as Togekiss can be outsped by them and hit hard by Iron Head or Bullet Punch. However, Steel-type Pokemon generally need to watch out for Togekiss's Fire- and Fighting-type coverage moves, especially if Togekiss is holding a Babiri Berry.

**Rock-type Pokemon**: Rock-type Pokemon such as Mega Aerodactyl easily tank Togekiss's STAB attacks and retaliate for massive damage with super effective moves. However, they often need to be wary of Aura Sphere, though the damage is reduced in sand.

**Poison-type Pokemon**: Common Poison-type Pokemon such as Nidoking and Gengar can tank some of Togekiss's hits and easily OHKO it with Sludge Wave or Poison Jab. Assault Vest Alolan Muk can tank all of Togekiss's attacks with ease and threaten it with powerful Poison-type moves. Togekiss can sometimes overcome these Pokemon with enough flinches, but it is unreliable and Togekiss is still usually forced out by these Pokemon.

**Ice-type Pokemon**: Bulky Ice-type Pokemon such as Lapras and Piloswine can tank Togekiss's attacks and retaliate with Ice-type attacks. Many Ice-type Pokemon such as Mamoswine also carry priority in the form of Ice Shard, automatically outpacing even Choice Scarf Togekiss. Ice-type Pokemon must be wary of Aura Sphere, though.

**Status**: Togekiss is easily crippled by Thunder Wave, especially since Togekiss's biggest niche lies in outspeeding and flinching its foes. As this set lacks a way to rid itself of status, Togekiss often finds itself dead weight when paralyzed. Toxic damage can also easily rack up, reducing Togekiss's staying power and forcing it out.

**Walls**: Although Togekiss has a decent Special Attack stat, it cannot deal much damage to walls such as Porygon2 and Chansey. Togekiss usually has to use Trick on the Choice Scarf set to cripple them, and then rely on flinches to do enough damage.

[OVERVIEW]

Fairy
========

* Togekiss is a common stall breaker on Fairy teams, and can run a variety of sets ranging from Choice Scarf to Nasty Plot to Support.
* A good ability in Serene Grace allows it to flinch out foes with Air Slash and net possible burns with Fire type coverage.
* High Special Attack and Special Defense let it both hit hard and bulk opposing attacks.
* A diverse movepool featuring moves such as Air Slash, Flamethrower, Nasty Plot and Heal Bell allows Togekiss to perform a variety of roles.
* A unique secondary typing in Flying allows Togekiss to beat threats that would usually be hard for Fairy to deal with, most notably Mega Venusaur.
* Weakness to the ever prevalent Stealth Rock forces it to take 25% damage every time it switches in.
* Offers little defensive value towards Fairy teams, due to it sharing weaknesses in Poison and Steel with other Fairy-type Pokemon.
* Sports a weakness to common coverage moves, such as BoltBeam.
* Underwhelming speed tier means it can't always take advantage of the 60% flinch chance granted by Serene Grace Air Slash, forcing it to use a Choice Scarf.

[SET]

imo choice scarf should come after stallbreaker. I'm even of the opinion that scarf doesn't deserve a set in this meta, as its speed tier is really low to properly utilize a scarf, but that's up to QC

Moves
========

Reorder moves according to set

* Air Slash is Togekiss's best move; with a 60% chance of flinching the opponent, it can often grant Togekiss with free damage against a foe, being able to knock out foes without taking much damage.
* Fire Blast and Flamethrower provide Fire-type coverage against Steel-type Pokemon such as Scizor and Metagross, which can often destroy Fairy teams through super-effective attacks. Fire Blast does more damage overall at the cost of accuracy, but Flamethrower can be used to avoid this accuracy drop for more consistent damage. Regular metagross isn't relevant on steel teams, say Ferrothorn instead.
* Trick can be used against bulkier Pokemon and equip them with a Choice Scarf, greatly decreasing their utility. Against Porygon2 and Chansey, it can also take away their Eviolite, rendering them nearly useless. Trick can also be used if Togekiss needs to switch up its moves.
* Dazzling Gleam is Togekiss's only good option for Fairy-type STAB, and can be used to hit Dark- and Dragon-type Pokemon for super-effective damage.
* Aura Sphere is a useful coverage move that can hit Rock- and Normal-type Pokemon, especially as the former resists Air Slash. Aura Sphere can also hit Steel-type Pokemon that resist/are immune to Fire Blast, such as Heatran. No steel type resists / is immune to fire aside from heatran. Just mention that it can be used to hit bisharp and heatran more reliably. Maybe empoleon as well, but I don't think it is relevant in this meta on steel teams

Set Details
========

* 252 Speed EVs and a Timid nature maximizes Togekiss's speed, taking full advantage of its Choice Scarf and allowing it to outspeed a majority of the meta.
* 252 Special Attack EVs gives Togekiss as much offensive power as it can get, "letting it do more damage with its attacks." Fluff.
* Serene Grace is Togekiss's best ability, as it doubles the chance for both an Air Slash flinch and a Fire Blast burn. Togekiss generally relies on this ability to flinch opponents with Air Slash and avoid taking much damage.
* A Choice Scarf gives Togekiss much more speed, putting it in a speed tier above other Pokemon, in which it can proceed to hit hard with Air Slash. Air slash doesnt actually hit too hard, it just relies on finches.

Usage Tips
========

* Use Togekiss mostly as a revenge killer, as it can outspeed almost every Pokemon and net a KO with successful flinches. It's not really that fast, so it doesnt "outspeed almost every Pokemon"
* Togekiss can also be used to cripple bulky Pokemon such as Chansey and Doublade by Tricking them a Choice Scarf, locking them into a support move. You mentioned doublade, which doesnt use support moves. Say non-attacking moves instead
* Pivot in Togekiss when predicting an opponent to use a Ground-type move, as the immunity helps bring Togekiss in to start doing damage.
* It can also be used to whittle down Pokemon that team members have trouble with; Togekiss can deal heavy damage to Steel-type Pokemon with Aura Sphere and Fire Blast and can also deal chip damage to bulkier Pokemon by flinching them with Air Slash.

Team Options
========

* Due to its weakness to Stealth Rock, Togekiss appreciates Defog support from Tapu Fini.
* Wallbreakers such as Choice Band Tapu Bulu and Choice Specs Sylveon can deal heavy damage to Pokemon such as Mantine that Togekiss usually has trouble with.
* Ice resists such as Azumarill can easily take hits that Togekiss would take huge damage from.
* Azumarill can also break Pokemon that Togekiss has trouble with, such as Heatran, making it a good partner for it.
* Magearna easily switches into Poison-, Ice-, and Rock- type attacks, making it the perfect defensive Pokemon to back Togekiss up. Magearna also has access to Volt Switch, pivoting in Togekiss to get a better matchup. You forgot to mention that it checks scizor as well if it runs HP fire
* Pokemon such as Clefable and Klefki can also spread paralysis, helping Togekiss paraflinch foes, making it even more effective.
* Clefable can also set up Stealth Rock to aid Togekiss, and can also provide Wish and Heal Bell support.

[SET]
name: Stallbreaker (Fairy)
move 1: Air Slash
move 2: Nasty Plot
move 3: Heal Bell
move 4: Roost
item: Leftovers
ability: Serene Grace
nature: Timid
evs: 248 HP / 84 Def / 176 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Air Slash is this set's only attack, capable of doing huge amounts of damage after Nasty Plot and also having a 60% chance to flinch should Togekiss outspeed.
* Nasty Plot boosts Togekiss's Special Attack stat by 2 stages, greatly increasing its damage output and making it less reliant on flinches to beat walls.
* Heal Bell allows Togekiss to beat stally Pokemon by getting rid of Toxic and Thunder Wave, which can both be crippling for Togekiss. It also rids the entire team of status, making it a great support Pokemon.
* Roost recovers 50% of Togekiss's max HP, increasing its longevity and allowing it to keep its boosts by not switching out. It also allows it to better beat bulky Pokemon by recovering off any damage.

Set Details
========

* 284 HP EVs nearly maximizes Togekiss's HP while giving it an odd HP number, reducing Stealth Rock damage should it need to switch into it. It also helps Togekiss get the most out of Roost.
* 176 Speed EVs alongside a Timid Nature allow Togekiss to outspeed base 70 Speed Pokemon with a Speed-boosting nature, such as Breloom.
* The rest is dumped into Defense, to take physical attacks better.
* Leftovers gradually increases Togekiss's HP, giving it more staying power and helping it defeat walls.
* Serene Grace doubles the chance of secondary effects, giving Air Slash a 60% chance to flinch opposing Pokemon.

Usage Tips
========

* Send in Togekiss against more bulky Pokemon such as Chansey or Toxapex, and proceed to set up with Nasty Plot.
* Togekiss can also set up on Pokemon that are Choice-locked into a move it resists/is immune to, such as Landorus-T being locked into Earthquake.
* Avoid setting up with Nasty Plot if there are still healthy Steel-, Rock-, or Electric-type Pokemon, as they can easily tank Togekiss's hits even after a boost. They can then retaliate with hard-hitting attacks of their own.
* Use Heal Bell if team mates are plagued with status or if Togekiss itself gets statused.
* Make sure there are no hazards up on the field before sending Togekiss in, as taking damage can decrease Togekiss's overall staying power and make it unable to defeat certain Pokemon such as Porygon2.
* Togekiss's defensive capabilities can also be utilized to switch into resisted attacks and proceed to use Air Slash to immobilize the foe.

Team Options
========

* Pokemon weak to Ground, such as Tapu Koko and Magearna, appreciate Togekiss switching into Ground-type moves due to its immunity.
* Magearna can also switch into attacks that would usually harm Togekiss heavily, such as Poison- and Rock-type moves.
* Pokemon usually crippled by status, such as Azumarill, are grateful for Togekiss's Heal Bell, helping them wallbreak more effectively.
* Heavy hitters such as Tapu Koko also appreciate Togekiss's ability to break stall, helping them break through teams more easily.
* Again, this Togekiss set almost requires Defog support from Tapu Fini. Togekiss dislikes taking residual damage every time it switches in, as it can ruin its setup opportunities and make it more susceptible to attacks.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Substitute can be used on the Nasty Plot set instead of Heal Bell, as it blocks status. However, Heal Bell is generally superior due to its ability to support the entire team. Substitute, on the other hand, can be useful versus stally Pokemon who do not have the damage to break Togekiss's Substitute. Subplot togekiss isnt a thing
* Thunder Wave is an option that capitalizes on the flinch tactic, by both slowing down the foe and having an extra 25% chance to immobilize them.
* A support set featuring Thunder Wave, Air Slash, Heal Bell and Wish can be used to heal team mates, especially those lacking reliable recovery such as Tapu Fini. It can also be used to spread paralysis, helping other Pokemon such as Choice Band Tapu Bulu wallbreak more easily. Roost is plain better than wish imo.
* Babiri Berry can be used as an item alongside Fire-type coverage to check Steel-type Pokemon such as Scizor and Excadrill, but Togekiss misses out on Leftovers recovery and has to sacrifice one of its moveslots for Fire Blast / Flamethrower. Imo this deserves its own set, it is the best babiri berry user on fairy and it's ability to hit steel types in return is pretty useful.
* defog, and mention how it is outclassed as a defogger by fini and why.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Electric-type Pokemon**: Most Electric-type Pokemon such as Mega Manectric and Tapu Koko have high speed and offensive stats, meaning they can outspeed non-Scarf Togekiss and easily OHKO it. Electric-type Pokemon also resist Air Slash, and Togekiss lacks coverage moves to deal with these Pokemon. Mega manectric? No mention of a-raichu and scarf xurkitree which outspeed it, or Zapdos and rotom-w which wall it?

**Super-effective attacks**: Togekiss shares its weaknesses with other Fairy-type Pokemon, meaning it can't switch into them and falls easily to powerful Poison-, Steel, Electric-, or Ice-type attacks. Common coverage moves such as Ice Beam and Thunderbolt can heavily damage Togekiss as well. Just delete this entire section. You mention each type individually anyway, and every pokemon ever is weak to super effective attacks.

**Steel-type Pokemon**: Togekiss struggles against common Steel-type picks such as Excadrill and Metagross, as Togekiss cannot hurt them very much and is OHKOed in return. However, some Pokemon such as Ferrothorn and Scizor need to watch out for Flamethrower or Fire Blast. Pretty much every steel type needs to watch out for fire blast and aura sphere.

**Rock-type Pokemon**: Rock-type Pokemon such as Nihilego easily tank Togekiss's STAB attacks and can retaliate very hard with super-effective moves. However, they often need to be wary of Aura Sphere, though the damage is reduced with sand support.

**Poison-type Pokemon**: Common Poison-type Pokemon such as Nidoking, Gengar and the aforementioned Nihilego can tank some of Togekiss's hits and easily OHKO it with Sludge Wave or Poison Jab. Togekiss can sometimes overcome these Pokemon with enough flinches, but it is unreliable and Togekiss is still usually forced out by these Pokemon. No alolan muk? Counters unboosted togekiss, always forces it out.

**Ice-type Pokemon**: Bulky Ice-type Pokemon such as Lapras and Piloswine can tank Togekiss's attacks and retaliate with Ice-type attacks. Many Ice-type Pokemon such as Mamoswine also carry priority in the form of Ice Shard, outpacing even Choice Scarf Togekiss. Ice-type Pokemon must be wary of Aura Sphere, though. Funny you mention lapras and piloswine, which are pretty much unviable.

**Paralysis**: Choice Scarf Togekiss is easily crippled by Thunder Wave, especially as Togekiss's biggest niche lies in outspeeding and flinching its foes. As this set lacks a way to rid itself of status, Togekiss often finds itself as dead weight when paralyzed.

amqc, don't implement until approved by a member of the qc team

[OVERVIEW]

* Togekiss is a common stall breaker on Fairy teams, and can run a variety of sets ranging from Choice Scarf to Nasty Plot to Support.
- why is its main role a stallbreaker when its not even the first set? I'd honestly switch the two sets and put stallbreaker first. it's a lot more important when you have stuff like tapu koko filling the role of a fast strong special attacker and revenge killer

[SET]

you need to switch the two sets. the stallbreaker set needs a lot of changes because the set you currently have is rarely ever even used. this is what i'd suggest:

name: Stallbreaker (Fairy)
move 1: Air Slash
move 2: Nasty Plot
move 3: Fire Blast
move 4: Roost
item: Babiri Berry
ability: Serene Grace
nature: Timid
evs: 248 HP / 84 Def / 176 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Moves

- reword air slash's bullet because its no longer the only attack
- remove heal bell
- add fire blast

Set Details

- remove lefties
- babiri berry
* 176 Speed EVs alongside a Timid Nature allow Togekiss to outspeed base 70 Speed Pokemon with a Speed-boosting nature, such as Breloom.
- bisharp is a better example now that you have fire blast

Usage Tips

- babiri berry to lure in stuff like scizor
- remove the heal bell bullet

Team Options

- seems good

[SET]

choice scarf is now the second set. change the order to this:

name: Choice Scarf (Fairy)
move 1: Air Slash
move 2: Dazzling Gleam
move 3: Fire Blast / Flamethrower
move 4: Trick / Aura Sphere

item: Choice Scarf
ability: Serene Grace
nature: Timid
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Moves

- change the order to air slash -> dazzling gleam -> fire blast / flamethrower -> trick -> aura sphere
* Air Slash is Togekiss's best move; with a 60% chance of flinching the opponent, it can often grant Togekiss with free damage against a foe, being able to knock out foes without taking much damage.
- 'best move' is weird. that kinda implies its the strongest (thats dgleam) or the most reliable (again, dgleam has better accuracy) I'd go for something like 'most important move' instead because it benefits the most from serene grace and is the most spammable.
(threaten is a better word than destroy)
- mega metagross is banned and regular metagross is irrelevant. Go for Bisharp instead. what KOs does fire blast grab that flamethrower doesn't?
* Aura Sphere is a useful coverage move that can hit Rock- and Normal-type Pokemon, especially as the former resists Air Slash. Aura Sphere can also hit Steel-type Pokemon that resist/are immune to Fire Blast, such as Heatran.
- just say it hits heatran because there isnt any other relevant steel type that isnt threatened by fire blast.

Set Details

- seems good

Usage Tips

* Togekiss can also be used to cripple bulky Pokemon such as Chansey and Doublade by Tricking them a Choice Scarf, locking them into a support move.
- Doublade is a horrible example, you'd want to use a fire move on it.
- you need to mention how slow togekiss is without a scarf and how annoying it can be to have it get knocked off. you also wouldnt want to trick it away pointlessly.

Team Options

* Wallbreakers such as Choice Band Tapu Bulu and Choice Specs Sylveon can deal heavy damage to Pokemon such as Mantine that Togekiss usually has trouble with.
- use choice specs koko as an example instead of sylveon.
* Magearna easily switches into Poison-, Ice-, and Rock- type attacks, making it the perfect defensive Pokemon to back Togekiss up. Magearna also has access to Volt Switch, pivoting in Togekiss to get a better matchup.
- togekiss is immune to ground which helps magearna too.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options

- add heal bell
- defog???
- remove babiri berry bc its now on the stallbreaker set
- remove substitute, its horrible
* A support set featuring Thunder Wave, Air Slash, Heal Bell and Wish can be used to heal team mates, especially those lacking reliable recovery such as Tapu Fini. It can also be used to spread paralysis, helping other Pokemon such as Choice Band Tapu Bulu wallbreak more easily.
- wish is just horrible and completely outclassed by roost

Checks and Counters

- delete the 'super effective moves' section it seems pointless when you list out all its weaknesses anyway

^ That counts for QC 1/3 since i'm now a member of the QC team.

EDIT: HNBL

Most of our stuff is pretty similar, so implement everything except:

**Ice-type Pokemon**: Bulky Ice-type Pokemon such as Lapras and Piloswine can tank Togekiss's attacks and retaliate with Ice-type attacks. Many Ice-type Pokemon such as Mamoswine also carry priority in the form of Ice Shard, outpacing even Choice Scarf Togekiss. Ice-type Pokemon must be wary of Aura Sphere, though. Funny you mention lapras and piloswine, which are pretty much unviable.

Lapras and Piloswine are both viable even though they aren't amazing. I'm fine with that bullet

Sorry for the long wait we had to sort of decide how to proceed with the sets.

Overview:
- Remove Nasty Plot from the list of options.
- Change the line about its movepool to talk about its great coverage in Fire Blast and Aura Sphere.
* Togekiss also has adiverse movepool featuring moves such as Air Slash, Roost, and Nasty Plot, allowing it to perform a variety of roles.
- Regarding its defensive utility, it does bring a useful immunity to Ground and a resistance to Grass as well.
- You should separate the lines about its Special Attack and Special Defense. Talk about its overall bulk because its physical bulk is quite good too.
- Elaborate on its damage. It might have a decent Special Attack stat, but it still struggles to deal damage to many specially defensive Pokemon.

Sets:
Ordering should be Choice Scarf > Babiri Berry. Stallbreaker isn't very good in the offensive SuMo metagame.

Choice Scarf:
Set:
- Flamethrower is pretty bad because it fails to OHKO bulky Mega Scizor and Dazzling Gleam is redundant coverage on a Fairy team. Aura Sphere is needed to let you actually damage Heatran as well.

name: Choice Scarf (Fairy)
move 1: Air Slash
move 2: Fire Blast
move 3: Aura Sphere
move 4: Trick
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Serene Grace
nature: Timid
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Moves:
- Remove the line about Dazzling Gleam.
- The most important difference between Fire Blast and Flamethrower is OHKOing bulky Mega Scizor. Separate the bullet and make it very clear that Fire Blast is superior, but Flamethrower's reliability keeps it viable.
- Aura Sphere's primary target is Heatran, so make that the first thing you say about it.

Usage Tips:
- Togekiss is horribly vulnerable to status effects, so make sure to talk about that. Paralysis cripples its all-important Speed, and Toxic poison wears it down quickly, making it difficult to take full advantage of Air Slash flinches.
- Definitely need a line about combatting walls. Togekiss can beat some of them such as Hippowdon with flinches from Air Slash, but it should be careful against those that carry Toxic for the reason above.

Team Options:
- Aura Sphere almost always 2HKOes offensive Heatran, so it's not like Togekiss struggles a lot with it.
- Talk about how Z-Belly Drum Azumarill can be even more dangerous if its primary checks are crippled by a Choice Scarf from Trick.
- Don't mention Hidden Power Fire on Magearna.
- Also note that Klefki can set Spikes, which wear down enemies to let Togekiss eventually take them out.

Babiri Berry:
Set:
- Pretty similar to the Stallbreaker set, in appearance but you'll still need to make a few changes.
- Aura Sphere is needed to hit Heatran. This is more important than on the Choice Scarf set, as this set is primarily used to check Steel-types and threaten Steel teams.
- Fire Blast is also even more important here. Flamethrower cannot OHKO defensive Mega Scizor even with Stealth Rock support, which can be dangerous for the team. Fire Blast is an absolute must.
- No room for Nasty Plot, naturally, as Roost is necessary to restore Togekiss's health and allow it to be useful throughout a battle.
- The Speed lets Togekiss outspeed Jolly Bisharp. HP gives it a lot of bulk. 84 Special Attack lets it always OHKO defensive Mega Scizor with Stealth Rock support.

name: Babiri Berry (Fairy)
move 1: Air Slash
move 2: Fire Blast
move 3: Aura Sphere
move 4: Roost
item: Babiri Berry
ability: Serene Grace
nature: Timid
evs: 248 HP / 84 SpA / 176 Spe

Other Options:
- Thunder Wave would only be used on a defensive set with Heal Bell, so remove the first two lines and expand on the third. Talk about how the set's lack of coverage makes it terrible against Steel-types and even setup bait for Mega Scizor.
- Defog would only be used on the Choice Scarf set; no other set has room for it. However, Klefki sets Spikes, and Defog is generally not worth it as it'll remove those hazards. Also, losing a coverage move makes it very difficult to actually break Steel teams.
- Dazzling Gleam for the Choice Scarf set can go here.

Checks and Counters:
- Steel-types are very worried about the Babiri Berry set, so you should note that.
- Status in general should be a check, not just paralysis.
- Certain Pokemon are exceptional at checking Togekiss. Nihilego is the best counter and should be listed at the top on its own. Zapdos should have its own section as well.
- Add walls, although they often fear Trick.

Please remove the Stallbreaker set and add in the Babiri Berry set. Tag me after that is done and I'll check that set.

Eien done

Babiri Berry
Usage Tips:
- Definitely mention that hard switching Togekiss into Steel-types is very risky, as requires Babiri Berry to really check Mega Scizor and Excadrill. For example, this may mean allowing Mega Scizor a couple of free turns to set up, as Togekiss can still survive a +4 Bullet Punch and even a +6 Bullet Punch with the help of Reflect.

Team Options:
- As a general statement, with this set, you don't need the same amount of pressure on Steel teams. That means other teammates like Klefki and Clefable are free to use sets better against the overall metagame instead of sets tailored to check Mega Scizor and Steel as a whole.

Very nice, QC 2/3

[Overview]
* An underwhelming speed tier means Togekiss can't always take advantage of the 60% flinch chance granted by Serene Grace Air Slash, forcing it to use a Choice Scarf.
- Mention other common Choice Scarf users that outspeed it. As well as being outsped by Mega Alakazam as well for examples.

Choice Scarf

[Set Details]:
* A Choice Scarf gives Togekiss much more speed, putting it in a speed tier above other Pokemon, in which it can proceed to fish for flinches with Air Slash.
- "A Choice Scarf gives Togekiss much more speed, putting it in a speed tier above other Pokemon" list important threats it can outspeed.

[Usage Tips]:
- Add that Togekiss should be avoiding Stealth Rock as much as possible, because it'll just easily wear it down, making it harder for Togekiss to find switch-in opportunities and easier to KO.

Babari Berry

[Set Details]:
* 284 HP EVs nearly maximizes Togekiss's HP while giving it an odd HP number, reducing Stealth Rock damage should it need to switch into it. It also helps Togekiss get the most out of Roost.
- *248 HP EVs

[Team Options]:
* Clefable and Klefki can set entry hazards that allow Togekiss to more easily check Steel-types by dealing residual damage every time they switch in.
- I mean, you even mentioned Reflect in Usage Tips so add that Klefki can set up dual screens to improve Togekiss's survivability.

[OVERVIEW]

Fairy
========

* Togekiss has overall good 85 / 95 / 115 overall bulk, allowing it to tank hits well while dishing out damage.
* Togekiss also has a diverse movepool featuring moves such as Air Slash and Roost, (comma) along with amazing coverage moves such as Fire Blast and Aura Sphere, allowing it to perform a variety of roles.
* A unique secondary typing in Flying allows Togekiss to beat threats that would usually be hard for Fairy to deal with, (comma) such as Mega Venusaur.
* This Its Flying typing also gives it an immunity to Ground and a resistance to Grass, which can be useful for Fairy teams, which often lack switch-ins to moves of those types.
* However, Togekiss also sports a glaring weakness to the ever-(hyphen)prevalent Stealth Rock, forcing which forces it to take 25% damage every time it switches in.
* While Togekiss offers some defensive value towards Fairy teams, it shares weaknesses in Poison and Steel with other Fairy-type Pokemon.
* An underwhelming Speed tier means that Togekiss can't always take advantage of the 60% flinch chance granted by Serene Grace Air Slash, forcing it to use a Choice Scarf. Even then, it is outsped by common Choice Scarf users such as Nihilego and Excadrill, (comma) along with non-Choice Scarf users like Mega Alakazam and Mega Beedrill.
* While Togekiss may have a good Special Attack stat, it can be underwhelming at times, making Togekiss unable to break specially defensive walls like Chansey without excessive a large number of flinches.

move 4: Trick

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Air Slash is Togekiss's most important move; with a 60% chance of flinching the opponent, it can often grant Togekiss with free damage against a foe, being able enabling Togekiss to knock out foes without taking much damage.
* Fire Blast provides valuable Fire-type coverage against Steel-type Pokemon such as Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn, which can often destroy Fairy teams through super effective attacks.
* Flamethrower can be used instead of Fire Blast due to its reliability, but it fails to OHKO bulky Mega Scizor and only has a chance to OHKO Lucario and Bisharp. While it does have better accuracy, Fire Blast is generally superior.
* Aura Sphere is a useful coverage move that hits Heatran super effectively, which is especially helpful because as it resists Air Slash and is immune to Fire Blast. It Aura Sphere can also hit Rock- and Normal-type Pokemon such as Tyranitar for super effective damage, and also hits Bisharp more reliably.
* Trick can be used against bulkier Pokemon and to equip them with a Choice Scarf, greatly decreasing their utility. Against Porygon2 and Chansey, it can also takes away their Eviolite, rendering them nearly useless. Trick can also be used if Togekiss needs to be able to switch up its moves.

Set Details
========

* 252 Speed EVs and a Timid nature maximizes Togekiss's Speed, taking full advantage of its Choice Scarf and allowing it to outspeed a majority of the meta.
* 252 Special Attack EVs gives Togekiss as much offensive power as possible.

Usage Tips
========

* Use Togekiss mostly as a revenge killer, as it can outspeed many Pokemon and net KOes with successful flinches.
* Togekiss can also be used to cripple bulky Pokemon such as Chansey by Tricking giving them a Choice Scarf, locking them into a non-attacking move.
* However, do not Trick give away the Choice Scarf pointlessly, (comma) as Togekiss becomes very slow without it. Due to this, Togekiss also dislikes having its item knocked off removed by Knock Off.
* Pivot in Togekiss in when predicting an opponent to use a Ground-type move, as the immunity helps bring Togekiss in for free.
* Avoid letting Togekiss get statused inflicted with status, as paralysis cripples Togekiss's Speed, rendering its Choice Scarf useless, while Toxic poison wears Togekiss down and makes it unable to deal with walls and common threats.
* Similarly, avoid switching Togekiss into Stealth Rock, as it is weak to it and is worn down quickly, making it susceptible to revenge killers.
* It Togekiss can also be used to whittle down Pokemon that team members have trouble with; Togekiss it can deal heavy damage to Steel-type Pokemon with Aura Sphere and Fire Blast and can also deal chip damage to bulkier Pokemon by flinching them with Air Slash.
* While Togekiss can sometimes deal with walls by flinching them, many carry Toxic, which can easily wear down Togekiss and make its job harder. Therefore, walls such as Chansey should be removed before bringing it in.

Team Options
========

* Due to its weakness to Stealth Rock, Togekiss appreciates Defog support from Tapu Fini.
* Wallbreakers such as Choice Band Tapu Bulu and Choice Specs Tapu Koko can deal heavy damage to Pokemon such as Mantine that Togekiss usually has trouble with such as Mantine.
* Pokemon resistant to Ice such as Azumarill can easily take hits that Togekiss would take huge damage from.
* Azumarill can also break Pokemon that Togekiss has trouble with, such as Heatran, making it a good partner for it.
* Pokemon such as Clefable and Klefki can also spread paralysis, helping Togekiss paraflinch foes, making it even more effective making Togekiss more effective by combining the chance of flinching with that of full paralysis. Clefable is also a great status absorber that can soak up paralysis and Toxic, (comma) while Klefki can also set up Spikes, which wears down enemies and makes foes to make it easier for Togekiss to defeat them.
* Clefable can also set up Stealth Rock to aid Togekiss, while also providing Wish and Heal Bell support aid Togekiss with Stealth Rock and support from Wish and Heal Bell.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Air Slash is this set's primary attack, (comma) which and does decent damage while also having a nifty 60% chance to flinch the foe should Togekiss outspeed foes Togekiss outspeeds.
* Fire Blast is used to hit Steel-type Pokemon such as Mega Scizor, as Togekiss can live take most Steel-type attacks due to the Babiri Berry.
* Aura Sphere hits Heatran, which is useful as because Fairy teams can often have trouble with it. With the Babiri Berry, Togekiss can survive any hit, outspeed, and 2HKO or 3HKO it, (comma) depending on the set.
* Roost recovers 50% of Togekiss's maximum HP, increasing its longevity. It Roost also allows it to better beat bulky Pokemon by recovering off any damage.

Set Details
========

* 248 HP EVs nearly maximizes Togekiss's HP while giving it an odd HP number, reducing Stealth Rock damage should it need to switch into it. It Having odd HP also helps Togekiss get the most out of Roost.
* 176 Speed EVs alongside a Timid nature allow Togekiss to outspeed base 70 Speed Pokemon with a Speed-boosting nature, (comma) such as Bisharp and Breloom.
* The rest of the EVs are put into Special Attack, (comma) to ensure that Togekiss can OHKO Mega Scizor with Fire Blast after Stealth Rock damage while also increasing its damage output.

Usage Tips
========

* Use Togekiss to lure in Steel-type Pokemon such as Scizor, in against which Togekiss can tank any hit due to its Babiri Berry and proceed to KO it with Fire Blast.
* Although this Togekiss set is considered a check to Steel-types, never hard directly switch Togekiss into an attack, which can use up the Babiri Berry unnecessarily and leave Togekiss vulnerable. While this may seem like it is just giving Mega Scizor free turns to set up Swords Dance, it is generally still better to bring in Togekiss to revenge kill, (comma) it as it can still live take a +4 Bullet Punch or a +6 Bullet Punch with Reflect up.
* Use Air Slash against most Pokemon to attempt to flinch them, weakening them for other members of the team such as Tapu Koko and Azumarill.
* Avoid sending Togekiss in if there are still healthy Electric- or Poison-type Pokemon around, as they can switch in with ease and get off free hits as because Fairy lacks proper counters to these Pokemon.
* Make sure there are no entry hazards up on the field before sending Togekiss in, as taking damage can decrease Togekiss's overall staying power and make it unable to defeat Steel-type Pokemon.
* Togekiss's defensive capabilities can also be utilized to switch into resisted attacks and proceed to use Air Slash to immobilize the foe.

Team Options
========

* Due to this set's ability to check Steel-type Pokemon, it relieves pressure from other Pokemon such as Clefable and Klefki and allows them to run other sets that do better against the metagame as a whole rather than just Steel-types.
* Pokemon weak to Ground, such as Tapu Koko and Magearna, appreciate Togekiss being able switching into Ground-type moves due to its immunity.
* Magearna can also switch into attacks that would usually harm Togekiss heavily, (comma) such as Poison- and Rock-type moves.
Klefki can also set dual up screens that reduce the damage Togekiss takes.
* Heavy hitters such as Tapu Koko and Azumarill like Togekiss dealing chip damage to walls and taking care of Steel-types such as Excadrill, paving the way for a sweep.
* This Togekiss set almost requires Defog support from Tapu Fini. Togekiss dislikes taking residual damage every time it switches in, as it that can ruin its ability to check Steel-types and make it more susceptible to attacks.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* A support set with both Thunder Wave and Heal Bell can be used to spread paralysis among teams by spamming Thunder Wave, making it easier for team(space)mates such as Choice Band Tapu Bulu to wallbreak more effectively. However, Togekiss generally needs the coverage to deal with Steel-type Pokemon, and can often become setup bait for Pokemon such as Mega Scizor without it.
* Defog can also be used on the Choice Scarf set, but Togekiss's weakness to Stealth Rock and Tapu Fini's higher relative bulk makes it a better choice for Defogging. Defog also limits Togekiss's moveset, forcing it to miss out on other a helpful moves such as Aura Sphere or Fire Blast, hampering its ability to check Steel-types. It Defog also removes entry hazards that Klefki or Clefable set, making it a useless move in some matchups.
* Dazzling Gleam can be used as a reliable Fairy-type STAB move on the Choice Scarf set, but again, Togekiss misses out on valuable coverage, (comma) which that leaves it walled by Pokemon such as Mega Scizor or and Heatran.

Checks and Counters
===================

Fairy
========

**Nihilego**: Nihilego is Togekiss's best counter, resisting two of its three attacks while taking neutral damage from the third. It also has a high Special Defense stat, making it shrug off the damage Togekiss tries to inflict. Both of its STABs moves are super effective against Togekiss and can OHKO it, while and it also often runs Choice Scarf, (comma) making Trick worthless as well.

**Zapdos**: Zapdos, like Nihilego, also resists two out of Togekiss's three attacks, (comma) while taking minimal damage from Fire Blast, and can deal massive damage to Togekiss with its Electric-type STAB moves. It also has good bulk and Roost, allowing it to tank Togekiss's hits with relative ease and also being able to recover it off with Roost.

Electric-type Pokemon also resist Air Slash, and Togekiss lacks coverage moves to deal with these Pokemon them. Bulkier Electric-type Pokemon such as Rotom-Wash take very minimal little damage from Togekiss's moves and can deal massive damage with their STAB moves.

**Steel-type Pokemon**: Togekiss struggles against common Steel-type picks such as Excadrill and Mega Scizor Scizor, as Togekiss can be outsped by them and hit hard by Iron Head or Bullet Punch. However, Steel-type Pokemon generally need to watch out for Togekiss's Fire- and Fighting-type coverage moves, especially if Togekiss is holding a Babiri Berry.

**Rock-type Pokemon**: Rock-type Pokemon such as Mega Aerodactyl easily tank Togekiss's STAB attacks and can retaliate very hard for massive damage with super effective moves. However, they often need to be wary of Aura Sphere, though the damage is reduced with in sand support.

**Status**: Togekiss is easily crippled by Thunder Wave, especially as since Togekiss's biggest niche lies in outspeeding and flinching its foes. As this set lacks a way to rid itself of status, Togekiss often finds itself as dead weight when paralyzed.
