TogeKISS of Death [OU RMT]

Introduction:
Hello, and welcome to my RMT. This is my first RMT on Smogon, so be as hard as possible on it. ;) On to the team building.

Team Building:
So one day I was bored and wanted to make a team about the oh-so-fun ParaFlinch Hax. One of my favorite pokes ever, happened to be pretty good at this, so I decided to build my team around Togekiss.
468.png

This wasn't just any Togekiss though. This was Nasty Plot Togekiss, who uses it's teammates to set up the Para part of the strategy then takes care of the Flinch part. So I made a list of pokes who learned T-Wave, and narrowed it down to the best ones (not all the NU and UU ones). Out of the ones I narrowed it down to, I chose Rotom-H and Jirachi, since they resisted Togekiss' weaknesses (electric, ice, rock) and were also capable of surviving hits to hit the opposing poke with a T-Wave.

Now I needed a poke that resisted fire so that my team would have resistance to every type. I chose Dragonite, since he also learned T-Wave.

I decided to add Starmie as my spinner and to resist Water, since only Dragonite resisted it and Gyara is popular these days.

I decided to add another steel so that when Jirachi goes down there's no one to resist ice and rock. The pokemon I chose was Heatran, since he can also put SR down.

After a couple tests, I wanted to replace Dragonite because he seemed like dead weight on my team, other then getting a couple T-Waves in. All he REALLY resisted was fire, so I let Heaty take his spot and add in another steel. I wanted a heavy physical hitter since most of my team was special-based, and I needed one to be able to kill ghosts since pokemon like Scarf Rotom-H were killing my team. Physical heavy hitting steel that can come in and kill ghosts? The choice was obvious.

After a couple more tests, I found out Gyara does heavy damage to me if Rotom and/or Starmie are gone, so I needed another water resist. I decided to put Swampert in over Heaty, since Swampy still resists fire, can basically do the same job Heaty had (set up SR), resists water, and had the added bonus of not being ground weak. He was grass weak though, but Jirachi/Scizor covers that up for him.

In-Depth:

260.png

Swampert @ Leftovers
Nature: Relaxed
Ability: Torrent
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Atk
-Stealth Rock
-Earthquake
-Ice Beam
-Roar

Comments: Here's my lead, practically standard Mixpert lead. Stealth Rock for obvious reasons, Earthquake to actually hit something, Protect for scouting. I had HP Electric on it to hit Gyara since he can't do anything to Swampy anyways, but for some reason Mence likes to come in and set up on me or Latias comes in to just plain fuck up my day, so for that I considered Ice Beam > HP Electric and Roar > Protect. I'm kinda stuck there. Other than that, Swampy is fairly standard.

212.png

Scizor @ Muscle Band
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Technician
248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
-Pursuit
-Superpower
-Swords Dance
-Bullet Punch

Comments: Basic Scizor here. I run LO > Choice Band so I can switch my moves, since most opponents think I run CB. I'm thinking of changing the item so to not give away that I don't run CB so soon. Scizor also comes in to help ease the damage Rotom can do to my team, since I can Pursuit trap and kill it, unless it runs Overheat.

121.png

Starmie @ Life Orb
Nature: Timid
Ability: Natural Cure
252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
-Rapid Spin
-Recover
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt

Comments: I forgot where I saw this version of Starmie, but it works to perfection. Instead of the standard Rapid Spinner set, I put LO on it to trick my opponent into thinking I don't run the Spin set so they won't bring in their spin blocker. It's worked great and I love it, always able to spin away the hazards once their poke who sets it up is gone. Credits to whoever thought up that set.

479_rotom_heat_1_m.png

Rotom-H @ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Ability: Levitate
252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SpD
-Thunder Wave
-Thunderbolt
-HP Ice
-Overheat

Comments: My spin blocker and one of two T-Wave'rs. He's basically standard Rotom, except I run T-Wave > WoW for obvious reasons and Overheat so Scizor won't come in thinking they have a insta-kill. I run the bulky set since Rotom is one of my T-Wave'rs, he will be coming in and taking hits often.

385.png

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Serene Grace
80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
-Thunder Wave
-Iron Head
-U-Turn
-Fire Punch

Comments: OMG I LOVE THIS GUY <3 I run the Evs from the lead Rachi set to get off a T-Wave as fast as possible, then it's all fun from there. Rachi can also abuse the ParaFlinch hax goodness with Iron Head and Serene Grace, sometimes I don't even need to bring out Togekiss to get the fun started, Rachi finishes matches for me. Fire Punch to hit Scizor on the switch in. U-Turn to scout, though after T-Wave my U-Turn usually hits first. I can't say how much I love this guy though. :D

The Star of the Show...

togekiss_by_zerotwospirited.png

(She gets a cool picture because the team's based off her)
Togekiss @ Leftovers
Nature: Modest
Ability: Serene Grace
74 HP / 252 SpA / 180 Spe
-Nasty Plot
-Air Slash
-Aura Sphere
-Roost / Substitute

Comments: Oh yes, ParaFlinch as soon she comes in without having to waste a slot on T-Wave! Nasty Plot to make it's attacks stronger, especially on switches. So not only do they have a VERY small chance of attacking, they're also being repeatedly pummled by powerful attacks. Togekiss loves it, I love it, and most of all, my opponent loves it. I'm thinking of Sub > Roost since my opponent barely hits me anyway, I could just Sub so they'll have an even less chance of hitting me. If only 'Kiss got Confuse Ray, sigghhh..

Conclusion:
So yeah, that's pretty much my team. Please point out as many flaws as you see and any tips to fix them. Thanks for reading! :D

P.S. I'll probably add better pictures later.

I have a nitpick with your team.

Scizor: I suggest that you change Pursuit to Swords Dance to make it a SDzor, which allows you to switch moves, double your attack and sweep with more ease.

Also, your descriptions could use a little expansion.

Swampert would benefit from Ice Beam and Roar over Protect and HP fire. You lack a Phaser, so roar will force switches and also kill baton pass leads. Ice Beam is purely for those dragons without a dance on them or any Dragonite leads (which are growing more common recently).

Scizor would benefit with the substitution of an Iron Plate (Bullet Punch does 20% more damage) or Muscle Band (All physical moves deal 10% more damage). This way, you do not immediately give away that you are not using a Choice Band. Scrap U-Turn for Roost, so you do not lose your boost. Pursuit needs to become Swords Dance. I would move the EV's to look like this: 8HP/252ATK/248SPEED. The Speed allows you to beat any Gliscor with the extra EV point thrown in speed. Also, any Tyranitar with 252Speed EVs will be outsped (allowing you to dodge the occasional Fire Punch or Flamethrower).

Starmie Test out Recover over Hydro Pump on Starmie. I can see Starmie coming in repeatedly against stall teams, and without any recovery, will slowly die due to Life Orb recoil and Sandstorm. Thunderbolt and Ice Beam still provide near perfect coverage.

Rotom-h As only one of two pokemon who can distribute Thunder Wave, you will want him to have reliable recovery. I would change his set to a Sleep Talker variant:
479-t.png

Rotom-h @ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Ev's: 252HP/120DEF/136SP.DEF
Rest
Sleep Talk
Discharge
Hidden Power ICE

The given Evs make Rotom more physically bulky. This set allows you to counter the common dragons and Dragon dancers of today. Gyarados are easily countered with Discharge (which boasts a nice 30% Paralyze rate, which can take place of Thunder Wave). Boosting dragons are taken by surprise with HP ICE. You cannot counter A Dragon Dance Salamence, however, you can prevent it from setting up because HP ICE will KO.

Jirachi

You should add max speed to Jirachi to outspeed Modest Latias and Gengar, and tie with max speed Salamece. I understand why you would want Fire Punch, but there is no reason why Scizor would come into Jirachi. HP Ice serves much better. HP Ice works better because it evades Salamence's Intimidate, allowing you to KO as he DDs.
jirachi.png

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Nature: Naive (To not subract power from HP Ice)
EV's: 252ATK/252SPEED/4SP.ATK
Thunder Wave
Iron Head
Hidden Power ICE
U-Turn

With the given EVs, you will KO every DD Salamence immediately with SR and HP Ice. You only lose out on the possible burn hax from Fire Punch.

Togekiss
Does not have Maximum EVs. . . Change the Evs to 74HP/252SP.ATK/180SPEED to maximize the boost from Nasty Plot, and to increase your speed so that you can flinch hax even more pokemon. Be careful of Electric type pokemon, as they are immune to Thunder Wave and will easily counter Togekiss.

Good Luck with your team!

Thanks for the rates guys.

Well the main point of Scizor being on my team is to come in on ghosts and kill with Pursuit, since they mess me up, one of the main ones being Rotom. I'll think about it though.

Swampert
Yeah I did some more playtesting last night and I found Roar a lot more helpful than Protect, so I'll make those changes.

Scizor
Again, Scizor's on my team mainly to trap and kill ghosts namely Rotom. I'll change the item to Muscle Band, U-Turn to SD, and the EV Spread. I don't really see a point in Roost, just takes up a moveslot imo since he's not bulky anyway.

Starmie
Yes, I was thinking of doing that too. Starmie dies fast with LO recoil, weather, and constant abuse from switching in, so I'll change that to Recover.

Rotom-H
Hmm, I could definently see that set working, I'll do some tests with that set to see how it works. Of course, that'll only leave me with one reliable T-Wave'r.

Jirachi
I'll run playtests on that too, though I'm kinda reluctant. Fire Punch not only hit Scizor, it also hit Skarmory who thinks it can come in and set up on me, as well as other pokes that I can't remember atm. I'll try it out though, and see how it works.

Togekiss
Oh, oops lol I didn't notice that it wasn't maxed...That's probably why after a NP her attacks seemed so weak. :P

Again, thanks for the rate guys!

Sorry for the double post, I made changes after some playtesting with the suggestions made, one of the main ones being Muscle Band > LO and SD > U-Turn on Scizor and the EV spread on Rotom to make it more bulky, along with the addition of HP Ice on Rotom. Changes are in bold.
