evs: 252 HP / 72 Def / 88 SpD / 96 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Set Description
=============
Togekiss makes use of tactical RNG manipulation through Serene Grace, Air Slash, and paralysis to immobilize and break down foes. Maranga Berry allows it to more reliably wall many special attackers such as Primarina, Necrozma, and Sylveon. Thunder Wave is useful for speed control in addition to making immobilizing foes more reliable. Roost paired with paralysis allows Togekiss to fish for paralysis turns while recovering, which increases reliability even more. Encore is useful for locking stall Pokemon such as Stored Power Necrozma and stall Clefable into their setup moves, as well as bulky offensive setup Pokemon like Galarian Moltres, Primarina, and Fake Tears Sylveon by locking them into their status moves.

EVs
=============
The EVs allow Togekiss to survive Choice Specs Necrozma's Prismatic Laser and outspeed base 60 Speed foes such as Primarina and Sylveon. 72 Defense EVs maximize reliability against Assault Vest Arcanine.

Usage Tips
=============
Most matchups with Maranga Berry Togekiss begin with Togekiss using Thunder Wave Turn 1. However, against certain Trick users such as Cresselia and Choice Scarf Tapu Fini, it is safest to use Encore Turn 1. This locks you into Encore again but nets you a free move Turn 3 to use Air Slash, which locks you into Air Slash for the final turn of Encore on Turn 4, resetting the cycle. If the foe uses an attacking move Turn 1 and deals less than half of Togekiss's health, it is generally safe to spam Roost and fish for paralysis turns before going for flinches with Air Slash. This keeps Togekiss from dropping to a stray critical hit as well as not risking being caught by priority or some other gimmick such as a surprise Custap Berry user. If the foe uses a setup or status move such as Calm Mind, Swords Dance, or Substitute, Togekiss should usually use Encore to lock them into their move so they can safely break them down without needing to deal with flinch and paralysis chances as long as Togekiss outspeeds. Where Togekiss shouldn't use Encore is against Pokemon like Aromatisse. Instead, Togekiss should spam Air Slash in hopes of getting lucky and flinching Aromatisse down without being locked into Struggle by Encore and Disable.

[SET COMMENTS]

Set Description
=============
Choice Scarf allows Togekiss to outspeed Pokemon such as Spectrier and non-Choice Scarf Tapu Fini. This pairs nicely Trick, which works to beat stall Pokemon such as Registeel while also locking Pokemon like Spectrier and Zygarde into a move. Against the latter two, Togekiss can use Trick then Roost to stall out the foe's attacks to win. For coverage moves, Dazzling Gleam reliably takes out threats like Haxorus and Dracozolt, while Fire Blast can be used for Choice Band Durant and Ferrothorn.

EVs
=============
Maximum Special Attack and Speed EVs allow Togekiss to do as much damage as possible and outspeed as many Pokemon as possible. Alternatively, 16 HP / 236 SpA / 12 SpD / 244 Spe can be used to outspeed Dragapult and take a Flash Cannon from maximum Special Attack Aegislash.

Usage Tips
=============
Generally, this set is pretty simple to use. Use Air Slash when Togekiss needs to flinch a Pokemon like Naganadel or Volcanion that would KO it otherwise. Use Dazzling Gleam or Fire Blast when either of them more reliably wins the matchup such as against Garchomp or Ferrothorn, respectively. Trick is for opposing setup Pokemon as well as Pokemon like Tapu Fini, Zygarde, and Primarina that can't reliably 2HKO Togekiss. This allows Togekiss to outheal with Roost and makes the matchup more reliable in the long run.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A Choice Specs set sacrifices some of Togekiss's Speed for more power, being able to break down bulky Pokemon like Volcanion quickly and reliably because you don't need as many flinches. This set can also run Grass Knot as a niche move to catch Pokemon like Rhyperior and Swampert. Nasty Plot is another option that can be used over Encore on Thunder Wave variants. Nasty Plot can help against stall users like Kyurem and other Pokemon like Substitute Zygarde if running Encore. Resist Berry sets usually are paired with Counter. Wacan Berry, for example, can lure Pokemon like Choice Band Zeraora by surviving a hit and using Counter. It can also run other Berries such as Babiri Berry, Charti Berry, and even Yache Berry for threats such as Kartana, Choice Band Landorus-T, and Galarian Darmanitan respectively. However, Togekiss often has to sacrifice a lot of matchups to run these sets due to it needing to dedicate nearly all of its resources to run them. This makes these sets relatively niche and often saved for tournament play.

(Combine both of these sentences about Encore)

EVs
=============
The EVs allow Togekiss to live a Choice Specs Necrozma Prismatic Laser and outspeed base 60s such as Primarina and Sylveon. The remaining EVs are in defense to maximize reliability against Assault Vest Arcanine.

Usage Tips
=============
Most matchups with Maranga Berry Togekiss begin with Togekiss clicking Thunder Wave turn one. This puts Togekiss in the driver's seat and dictates how the rest of the match will play out. There are occasions where you wouldn't click Thunder Wave such as against Tapu Fini where Misty Terrain protects the opponent from being paralyzed. (filler, obvious) Additionally, against certain Trick users such as Cresselia and Choice Scarf Tapu-Fini, it is safest to click Encore turn one. This protects you from being tricked because you lock the opponent into Trick while keeping yourself free. (filler, obvious) If the opponent uses an attacking move turn 1 and deals less than 50 percent of the Togekiss's health, it is generally safe to spam Roost and fish for paralysis turns before going for flinches with Air Slash. This keeps you from dropping to a stray crit as well as not risking being caught by priority or some other gimmick. (Any notable examples?) If the opponent uses a setup or status move such as Calm Mind, Swords Dance, or Substitute, The Togekiss should usually use Encore to lock them into their move so they can safely break them down without needing to deal with flinch and paralysis chances. Where Togekiss shouldn't use Encore is against Pokemon like Aromatisse which is immune to Encore because of its ability Aroma Veil. Instead, the Togekiss user should spam Air Slash in hope of getting lucky and flinching the Aromatisse down without being Struggle locked by Encore and Disable.

Set Description
=============
Choice Scarf Togekiss is a less reliable but faster version of its Maranga Berry counterpart. (don’t compare sets) Choice Scarf allows it to outspeed things such as non-Choice Scarf Tapu Fini and Spectrier. This pairs nicely with the move Trick which works to beat Stall pokemon such as Registeel while also limiting move options on other pokemon as Spectrier and Zygarde. Against the latter two Togekiss can use Trick then Roost to stall out its opponent's attacks to win. For attacking moves, Togekiss obviously always runs Air Slash. This allows it to flinch its opponents and deals solid overall damage. (filler, obvious) For coverage moves, it has the options of either Dazzling Gleam as a Fairy-type move that reliably takes out threats like Haxorus and Dracozolt, or it can run Fire Blast for non Choice Scarf Kartana as well as dealing with Genesect which opt not to run Occa Berry or Choice Scarf.

EVs
=============
The EVs on this are simply maximum speed with maximum special attack. This allows it to outspeed as many things as possible while being able to do as much damage as possible.

Usage Tips
=============
Generally, this set is pretty simple to use. Click Air Slash when you need to flinch something like Naganadel or Volcanion which would KO you if you use any other move. Click Dazzling Gleam or Fire Blast when either of those more reliably wins the matchup such as against Garchomp or Genesect. Trick is for opposing stall (wouldn’t really call any of these “Stall”, make sure to clarify if you are adding Stall users) set up Pokemon as well as things like Tapu Fini, Zygarde, and Primarina which can't reliably 2HKO Togekiss. This allows Togekiss to outheal with Roost and makes the matchup more reliable in the long run.

Other Options

Other options for Togekiss include a Choice Specs set or some version of a resist berry lure set. Choice Specs sacrifices some of its speed for more power, being able to break down bulky pokemon like Volcanion quicker and more reliably because you don't need as many flinches. This set can also run Grass Knot as a niche move to catch things like Rhyperior and Swampert. Nasty Plot is another option on Thunder Wave variants that can help against stall users like Kyurem and other Pokemon like Substitute Zygarde if running Encore. Resist berry sets usually are some kind of resist berry (usually Wacan Berry) paired with Counter. Wacan Berry, for example can lure things like Choice Band Zeraora by surviving a hit and clicking Counter.

Thunder Wave is useful for speed control in addition to making immobilizing opponents more reliable. Roost paired with paralysis allows Togekiss to fish for paralysis turns while recovering which increases reliability even more. Encore is useful for locking stall mons such as Stored Power Necrozma (Mention another example here, maybe Clefable?) into their setup moves, as well as Custap Berry users and (Encore is only good against custap users insofar they're bulky setup, versus something setup-less like Sawk or Dracovish it isn't particularly useful) bulky set up offensive mons like Galarian Moltres, Custap Berry (The mention of custap berry is a bit awkward here, especially because we're actually talking about Encore or Calm Mind Prima) Primarina, and Fake Tears Sylveon by locking them into their status moves. (Please mention moves in the order they're listed in the set, so either reorder the set above or the sentence order)

Most matchups with Maranga Berry Togekiss begin with Togekiss clicking Thunder Wave turn one. This puts Togekiss in the driver's seat and dictates how the rest of the match will play out. (Unnecessary sentence, does not give additional information about how to use togekiss, this section is bloated enough already) Additionally, against certain Trick users such as Cresselia and Choice Scarf Tapu-Fini, it is safest to click Encore turn one (Briefly explain how Trick+Encore interacts and how this nets you two free turns). If the opponent uses an attacking move turn 1 and deals less than 50 percent of the Togekiss's health, it is generally safe to spam Roost and fish for paralysis turns before going for flinches with Air Slash. This keeps you from dropping to a stray crit as well as not risking being caught by priority or some other gimmick such as a surprise Custap Berry user. If the opponent uses a setup or status move such as Calm Mind, Swords Dance, or Substitute, The Togekiss should usually use Encore to lock them into their move so they can safely break them down without needing to deal with flinch and paralysis chances (Specify that the opponent has to be slower for this to work). (Not entirely sure about the last bit: 'do not use encore against the mon immune to encore' is pretty basic and it adds several lines; aroma is an uncommon B+ rank which doesn't make it the most relevant either)

Choice Scarf allows it Togekiss to outspeed things such as non-Choice Scarf Tapu Fini and Spectrier (reword to 'Spectrier and non-Choice Scarf Tapu Fini? That way it doesn't ambiguously imply spectrier may run scarf). This pairs nicely with the move Trick which works to beat Stall pokemon such as Registeel while also limiting move options on other pokemon as Spectrier and Zygarde ('Limiting move options' is a bit nonspecific, maybe just go with 'locking them in a move'). Against the latter two Togekiss can use Trick then Roost to stall out its opponent's attacks to win. For coverage moves, it has the options of either Dazzling Gleam as a Fairy-type move that reliably takes out threats like Haxorus and Dracozolt, or it can run Fire Blast for non Choice Scarf Kartana as well as dealing with Genesect which opt not to run Occa Berry or Choice Scarf.

EVs
=============
The EVs on this are simply maximum speed with maximum special attack. This allows it to outspeed as many things as possible while being able to do as much damage as possible. (Maybe mention the simple alternate spread with 16 HP / 236 SpA / 12 SpD / 244 Spe here? It outspeeds dragapult while surviving a Flash Cannon from max spa aegislash, at the cost of a little bit of speed and special attack)

Usage Tips
=============
