Tomohawk leverages its good bulk, Intimidate, and Roost to act as a good check to physical attackers like Pajantom, Terrakion, Choice Band Aegislash, and Excadrill while also threatening bulky teams. Special walls like Mollux, Clefable, and Corviknight are forced to stay healthy because Metronome-boosted Hurricane and Aura Sphere can overwhelm them. Tomohawk makes for a good Rapid Spin user because it threatens Ghost-types like Dragapult and Pajantom with its powerful Hurricane. The speed boost, in conjunction with 204 Speed EVs and Timid nature, allows Tomohawk to outspeed Timid Dragapult, so Tomohawk can better threaten Hydreigon, Rotom-H, and Terrakion or even sweep weakened teams. Alternatively, Heat Wave can be run to cover Aegislash, Bulletproof Equilibra, and Corviknight. In the case, Tomohawk should run 28 HP, 252 Special Attack, and 228 Speed EVs with a Modest Nature to maximize its wallbreaking capabilities while still outspeeding Jolly Bisharp.

Mollux, Sylveon, Clefable, and Bulletproof Equilibra pair well with Tomohawk, checking the dangerous Fairy-types like Jumbao and Clefable and staving off Choice Specs Kyurem. In particular, Mollux and Clefable can provide Stealth Rock support. More offensive teams can opt for Rotom-H or Jirachi for the same purpose. In return, Tomohawk can switch into Excadrill and Pajantom, which threaten all of these Pokemon pretty handily. Mollux and Rotom-H also threaten Aegislash, Equilibra, and Corviknight, which Tomohawk needs support to beat reliably. Checks to Rotom-H and Rotom-M are also appreciated, so Pajantom, Dragapult or Hydreigon make for good partners.
