ORAS OU Tornadus-T/Mega Houndoom Offense

Why Hello! this is my first post, so i might get some things wrong

Jackie (Tornadus-Therian) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 76 HP / 180 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave
- U-turn
- Knock Off
With Tornadus-T being one of the best if not THE BEST offensive pivots in OU, and maybe even the entire meta, its no slouch. It has a decently reliable stab, (which is coming from someone with horrible luck xD). It's able to outpace timid scarf Magnezone and can take a Volt Switch (52 to 61.9%) and hit back harder with Heat Wave (66.9 to 79%). (Thunderbolt does 78% on a maximum roll) All around good coverage, and a good speed tier makes this thing a threat. And it don't give no craps about rocks.

Moto Moto (Hippowdon) @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
I can't find a word to describe Hippowdon. Maybe, neat?! Hippowdown can fill the roll of a hazard setter, and can be used to prep for a sweep, which I will explain later. earthquake hits surprisingly hard for very, very little investment, enabling it to 2hko things after sandstorm and rocks (Ex: Specially Defensive Mew, Heatran, Physically Defensive Clefable (after poison) ect.). Also, did I mention toxic stalling?? It's 3hko from a +1 Feraligatr using waterfall. Need I say more?

Anubis (Houndoom-Mega) @ Houndoominite
Ability: Solar Power
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Fire Blast
- Taunt
- Dark Pulse
Mega Houndoom is a very overlooked Pokemon. It has the ability to wallbreak, and can be customized to check Azumarill and Keldeo on a switch. Ive seen this thing on ladder once, and it broke all of my walls, and decimated my check (Scarf Excadrill, which was burnt, but got a max roll), but I still clenched a 1-0 win. Somehow. It's very anti-setup, and can OHKO Mega Metagross, and has a high chance to OHKO Mega Venusaur at +2 plus rocks.

Manaphy @ Expert Belt
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Tail Glow
- Scald
- Energy Ball
- Ice Beam
Manaphy can take advantage of the best stat boosting move in the game, Tail Glow. Expert Belt allows it to get about the boost that stab gives, except its only for super effective moves. it has fair coverage which allows it to check Lando-T, and scald can partially check Mega Lopunny and Mega Manetric, which is an OHKO after Tail Glow. Rip Unboosted Meta.

Excadrill @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin
Excadrill benefits from Hippowdon's Smooth Rock Sandstorm, in the sense that it outspeeds the majority of the unboosted Meta, except for scarf Pokemon. Being the first overall pick of the GBA season 5, shows how good this Pokemon is. When you look at its defenses (60 and 65 respectively), you think it cant take it hit. but it has a very good base HP, which allows it to take hits that it otherwise wouldn't take.

Scizor @ Occa Berry
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Superpower
Scizor has cemented itself as one of the biggest threats in OU, with very good defensive typing, and is a very devastating setup sweeper. Occa Berry Scizor allows it to take fire hits that aren't stab better. While the arguement can be used that Yache Berry Natural Gift is better, for countering Dragonite, Landorus-T and Gliscor, I have checks to all 3, and Scizor walls most Dragonite sets in the first place, and the same is said for Lando and Gliscor. U-turn allows for some more momentum, and Superpower for checking Heatran on a switch. Bullet punch explains itself.

If this helped, Great! leave your feedback in the comments, and edits to the team aswell!

Hey man, cool team. Houndoom has the ability to heavily damage Pokemon that wall Excadrill, like Skamory, Rotom, Hippowdon, Slowbro. However, pairing it with sand makes the team weak to water attacks, so dealing with Keldeo, Azumarill, Rotom, Slowbro has priority.

Adding another water resist to the team helps a lot against water attacks coming from Keldeo or Azumarill. Amoonguss also keeps another Fairy resist in the team, to take the pressure off of Excadrill. Also Pokemon like M-Lopunny (the set in the team can take two Returns after Rocks), Breloom and Clefable which are all problematic for Houndoom get walled by Amoonguss. If they attack mindlessly with these Pokemon on Amoonguss, it means a free spore.
Now this change makes you more vulnerable to the Lati twins, which can Draco your team without much thought. Your only swichin would be Excadrill, but Exca should be used as a breaker or cleaner late game, so keeping it healthy is key.
This leads to:

Hippowdon feels out of place on this team. It is too passive for a more offensively minded team like that. Replacing it with Tyranitar not only keeps the sand in the team, but it offers another Lati check. Also Ttar lets Pokemon like Azumarill and Keldeo come in, on which you can switch into Amoonguss without taking much damage (unless Keldeo is Specs Icy wind or Azumarill Natural Gift).

Just run max speed Timid on this to speedtie with other Pokemon with a base 100 speed.

With these changes, the team looks weak to opposing Sand teams. To add another Ground immunity by putting Air Balloon on Excadrill fixes this issue a bit. Swords Dance>Rock Slide allows you to break though defensive walls like Chansey and Hippowdon, while also forcing in the "hard-walls" against sand, like Skarmory and Rotom. A +2 Excadrill is a huge threat and their check has to be sent in immediately.

Lastly, Will-O-Wisp>Taunt on this makes Azu useless and also cripples Keldeo, which will get worn down very fast when burned. Burning Azumarills is also a key factor for winning, because the opponents often times rely on Azumarill to win against Excadrill 1v1 late game using Aqua Jet. Burned Azu does around 50% to Excadrill with Aqua Jet.
