Choice Band
########
name: Choice Band
move 1: Wood Hammer
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Stone Edge
move 4: Bullet Seed
ability: Overgrow
item: Choice Band
evs: 252 Spe / 252 Atk / 4 HP
nature: Jolly
Moves
========
- Wood Hammer is the Main STAB
- Earthquake is the Ground STAB
- Stone Edge is the coverage
- Bullet seed is for breaking Sturdy and Focus Sash on entry hazard-setting leads, such as Golem and Omastar
Set Details
========
- Overgrow can be the pinch hitter of this set- With Max Speed and a Jolly nature, Torterra outspeeds Timid max Speed Omastar.
- With max Attack, even two Bullet Seed hits has a chance of OHKOing
- Adamant can be used for extra power, but Jolly is needed to outspace Timid Focus Sash Omastar.
Usage Tips
========
- This set is a way to check Focus Sash and Sturdy leads.
- Avoid Weezing and other Will-O-Wisp users as they can easily cripple Choice Band Torterra by cutting the attack through burn.
- Even though this is mainly a lead, it can be sent out at mid- to late-game

move 1: Wood Hammer
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Stealth Rock
move 4: Synthesis

item: Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 144 Atk / 112 Def
nature: Adamant
Moves
========

- Earthquake covers a lot of things
- Stealth Rock can limit the amount of switches a team can make, so that can keep fire and flying types in check. It wears down Typhlosion, cause Eruption to deal less damage.
- Synthesis Is the auto recovery
Set Details
========
- 112 Defense EVs lets Torterra live a Ice Punch from a unboosted Feraligatr- Overgrow allows Torterra to deal more damage at lower health.
- Shell Armor can be used as it prevents critical hits
- Leftovers help with getting back HP, as Synthesis is not always an option.
- You can use a 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Atk with Impish if you want to go really defensive, but the 144 Attack EVs are useful as they allow Torterra to not be setup bait.
Usage Tips
========
- Wood Hammer can help you deal major damage
- Flying types is something Torterra should switch out of, as it lacks Stone Edge to hit them
- Stealth Rock should be the first move you use since that is the only way you can damage flying types

Checks & Counters
#########
**Ferroseed**: Tanks any hit well and Torterra is basically setup fodder for him
**Ice-type Attacks**: Torterra is incapable of taking Ice-types attacks, even if it doesn't get STAB.
**Fire-types**: Typhlosion, Magmortar, Rapidash, Pyroar; however, they must watch out for an Earthquake or Stone Edge
**Weezing**: Levitate, resistant to Wood Hammer and Bullet Seed. Will-O-Wisp cripples Torterra.
