man this game is awesome. ive only ever played one touhou game before, and, as alper corrected, that one was touhou 10: mountain of faith.
anyway if you dont play these games on lunatic then get outta here!
so yeah im currently struggling like crazy with stage 4. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=Gdwarczoj18 not a perfect run, but this guy still knows his shit. i play reimu a, i havent been able to get into using other characters/versions or whatever theyre called, though i may considering switching if other forms move slower when focusing than reimuA cause i have issues with moving too fast for my liking.
i seriously just cant get around this stage, its driving me crazy. i can only sometimes make it through the cat's first barrage of red shit, normally having to bomb. i can usually make it through the blue card stage but i'll usually get gibbed once the red vertical lasers come cause ill be stuck between two of them with a card coming towards me, then im forced to bomb.
im also rarely able to finish the six orbs right before the second cat without having to bomb cause i can never seem to down them fast enough!
then the damn cat, ffffffff. i dunno why but i can only sometimes make it through the red barrage without bombing or dying, sometimes its easy to maneuvre but sometimes its not, i always overshoot a movement and die.
purple cards are easy but green cards + balls give me trouble a lot. im still learning the last boss, ive made it to her third last spell card, but that was only once. man i love this game.
i was able to beat touhou 10 on lunatic like a year ago but i took a break from shmups. i played a lot of mushihimesama in tokyo but the games are really different i find and im having trouble with this game!
