[OVERVIEW]

Toxicroak stands out for having the rare combination of Dry Skin and a great typing both offensively and defensively, which makes it the premier switch-in to Water-types like Vaporeon, Milotic, Paldean Tauros-W, Basculegion, and Inteleon. Toxicroak is also less susceptible to being revenge killed after it has set up; its access to priority moves makes it a lot harder to revenge kill despite its middling Speed. However, Toxicroak's biggest problem is its frailty; if it switches into any non-Water-type attack from these threats, it gets easily 2HKOed, but Toxicroak's good defensive typing gives it more opportunities to set up against foes like Vileplume, Choice Scarf Mienshao, and Tsareena. Toxicroak also struggles against physically defensive Ground- and Poison-types like Palossand, Galarian Slowbro, and Dragalge, as they can take both of its STAB attacks and proceed to threaten Toxicroak back with their own STAB moves. Additionally, Toxicroak also faces Fighting-type competition with Mienshao and Breloom, which are both stronger, making them more consistent at times.

Close Combat is the preferred STAB option, allowing Toxicroak to 2HKO defensive walls like Alolan Muk and Klefki with Stealth Rock. Alternatively, Drain Punch helps provide more longevity against foes like Alolan Muk and Swampert, and it can counteract Life Orb chip if needed. Sucker Punch helps Toxicroak pick off revenge killers and weakened threats alike such as Munkidori and Flygon; Tera Dark allows Toxicroak to OHKO foes like Inteleon and Kilowattrel after a Swords Dance boost. Both Knock Off and Earthquake can be run in the last moveslot to hit checks like Palossand, Galarian Slowbro, and Dragalge harder, but Toxicroak's low Speed makes it prefer a priority move in most situations. A Jolly nature lets Toxicroak to outspeed foes like Heracross and Chandelure, but an Adamant nature provides it a bit more wallbreaking power. Leftovers is the preferred item for Toxicroak, providing it needed recovery and letting it continually cone in and check bulky Water-types. However, Life Orb provides Toxicroak a bit more extra wallbreaking power.

Toxicroak best pairs with Pokemon that lure in bulkier Water-types such as Vaporeon and Milotic, so good partners would be Water-types like Inteleon and Basculegion and Fire-types like Incineroar and Talonflame, as all of them are able to pivot and give it a free switch into the aforementioned bulky Water-types. Inteleon is a noteworthy partner, as it checks the common Ground- and Fire-types like Flygon, Gligar, and Chandelure, and it can actually pivot on Water-immune Pokemon thanks to its access to U-turn, helping Inteleon keep up momentum. In return, Toxicroak can take advantage of bulky Water- and Grass-types such as Vaporeon, Tentacruel, and Tsareena. Toxicroak gets threatened by Psychic-types such as Indeedee-M, Meloetta, and Munkidori, so it pairs well with Dark- and Steel-types like Umbreon, Incineroar, and Bronzong that check the aforementioned Psychic-types. Poison-types like Dragalge and Galarian Slowbro can cause many problems for Toxicroak, making Psychic- and Ground-types like Meloetta, Flygon, and Swampert great partners. Ground-immune Pokemon like Talonflame, Rotom-C, and Bronzong are great partners for Toxicroak, as they are able to check Ground-types such as Flygon and Swampert. Toxicroak also appreciates Water- and Rock-types like Vaporeon, Swampert, and Diancie to consistently switch into Fire-types like Chandelure, Infernape, and Hisuian Typhlosion.

Dark Pulse hits Psychic- and Ghost-types like Galarian Slowbro, Chandelure, and Basculegion that would resist or be immune to its STAB attacks. Vacuum Wave can be used over Dark Pulse, allowing Toxicroak to KO revenge killers like Porygon-Z, Flygon, and Inteleon. A Timid nature allows Toxicroak to outspeed foes like non-Choice Scarf Chandelure and Basculegion, but a Modest nature allows it to OHKO foes like Swampert with a +2 Focus Blast. Life Orb is preferred for its immediate power, allowing Toxicroak to always 2HKO foes like Swampert and Sylveon, but Leftovers can provide Toxicroak needed recovery over a course of the battle. Tera Dark boosts the power of Dark Pulse while giving Toxicroak an immunity to Psychic-type attacks from Meloetta and Munkidori. Tera Fighting gives both Toxicroak's Focus Blast and Vacuum Wave a extra power boost, allowing it to 2HKO foes like Alolan Muk, Registeel, and Diancie and pick foes off from higher health.

Toxicroak pairs well with pivots like Inteleon, Flygon, and Incineroar, as they can bring in foes like Vaporeon, Vileplume, and Alolan Muk and give Toxicroak a free opportunity to set up. Faster Pokemon like Talonflame, Flygon, and Munkidori outspeed and destroy Toxicroak. Thus, it pairs with defensive walls like Vaporeon, Tsareena, and Assault Vest Galarian Slowbro to handle the aforementioned Pokemon. Toxicroak synergies best with Steel- and Dark-types like Bronzong, Umbreon, and Incineroar, as they can check Psychic-types such as Munkidori, Indeedee-M, and Meloetta. In return, Toxicroak can pressure and take advantage of the Fighting- and Fairy-types like Sylveon, Florges, and Mienshao that give these Pokemon trouble. Ground-types like Flygon, Swampert, and Palossand can tank Toxicroak's unboosted attacks and OHKO it with their Ground-type STAB moves. Therefore, Toxicroak partners well with bulky Water- and Grass-types like Vaporeon, Tsareena, and Vileplume, as they can check the aforementioned Ground-types.

Choice Scarf Toxicroak can outspeed common threats like Chandelure, Infernape, and Flygon. However, its moves are quite exploitable if locked into, as Pokemon that resist or are immune to its attacks are common. Air Balloon gives Toxicroak a useful immunity to Ground-type attacks, giving it more opportunities to set up. Alternatively, Shuca Berry lets Toxicroak better lure in and damage Flygon and Swampert, as it's discreet; however, the majority of the time, Toxicroak prefers to run other items. Ice Punch allows Toxicroak to hit Ground- and Dragon-types like Gligar, Flygon, and Dragalge, but Toxicroak struggles to fit it. Encore allows Toxicroak to take advantage of bulky setup sweepers and hazard leads like Cresselia, Swampert, and Sylveon by giving it a free opportunity to set up either Swords Dance or Nasty Plot.

Checks and Counters
====

**Ground-types**: Flygon, Swampert, and Gastrodon threaten Toxicroak with their STAB Ground-type attacks, but none of them want to switch into a boosted Close Combat or Focus Blast. Quagsire can shut down Toxicroak's sweeping attempts with Unaware and destroy it with a STAB Earthquake. However, Quagsire fares a bit worse against Nasty Plot Toxicroak. Gligar resists both of Toxicroak's STAB attacks and uses it to set up entry hazards or hits it back with Earthquake. Palossand is especially noteworthy, though, as it blanks Fighting-type attacks, resists Poison-type moves, and doesn't take too much from Sucker Punch.

**Poison-types**: Galarian Slowbro and Dragalge resist both of Toxicroak's STAB attacks, and they can either set up or hit it back with their own STAB attacks.

**Psychic-types**: Munkidori and Meloetta destroy Toxicroak with their powerful STAB attacks. However, none of them want to switch into a boosted Dark Pulse and they can also be picked off by Sucker Punch. Indeedee-M will always win in a one-on-one against Toxicroak due to Psychic Terrain, but it can't switch in.

Toxicroak stands out for having the unique combination of Dry Skin and two good setup options, which and Poison typing making it a great wallbreaker in NU . It makes Toxicroak the premier switch-in to bulky Water-types like Vaporeon and Milotic, as it can take advantage of them by going for Swords Dance or Nasty Plot or fire off its high-Base Power attacks. giving it the opportunity to setup either Sword Dance or Nasty Plot i dont think the poison typing is especially notable + i also reworded it so it still keeps the important info and makes sense These similar traits allows Toxicroak to check the offensive Water-types such as Inteleon, Basculegion, and Paldean Tauros-W. Toxicroak can even check offensive Water-types like Inteleon, Basculegion, and Paldean Tauros-W if needed. However, Toxicroak biggest problem is its frailty; if it switches in to any non-Water-type attack from these threats, it gets easily 2HKOed. making it harder getting it onto the field and safely getting it to setup. Close Combat is the preferred STAB option allowing Toxicroak to 2HKO defensive walls like Vileplume and Klefki with Stealth Rock. ??? i dont think close combat 2hkoes plume, and even if it does, i’d rather click gunk shot. also, if you can find good calcs, great. if not, a simple “cc provides more power” works just as good Alternatively, Drain Punch helps provide more longevity against foes like Alolan Muk, Tsareena, and Swampert, and it can counteract Life Orb chip if needed. by providing it additional recovery. Sucker Punch helps Toxicroak to pick off revenge killers and weakened threats alike such as frail wallbreakers and weaken foes like Flygon and Munkidori and Flygon (munki dies, flygon needs near 50 gone for +2 sucker to kill). Both Knock Off and Earthquake can be run in the last moveslot to hit checks like Palossand, Galarian Slowbro, and Dragalge harder, but Toxicroak's low Speed makes it prefer a priority move in most situations. is an option allowing Toxicroak to cripple its checks like Talonflame and Dragalge, while Earthquake allows it to hit common Poison-types like Galarian Slowbro, Dragalge, and Alolan Muk. The given Speed EVs with a Jolly nature helps to outpace Gallade, Chandelure, and Basculegion, but an alternative EV spread of 28 HP / 252 Atk / 228 Spe can be run with an Adamant nature for more power, which lets it 2HKO Vileplume with Gunk Shot, while outspeeding Breloom. Adamant nature is preferred over Jolly provides Toxicroak the ability to 2HKO foes like Vileplume and Alolan Muk on the switch, but Jolly nature allows it to outspeed foes like Gallade and opposing Toxicroak. Leftovers is the preferred item for Toxicroak providing it needed recovery, letting it continually cone in and check bulky Water-types. However, while Life Orb gives it a guarantee that Toxicroak will always 2HKO foes like Milotic and Swampert. +2 252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Swampert: 341-402 (84.4 - 99.5%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock ||| [not to mention] ||| +2 252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Milotic: 370-437 (93.9 - 110.9%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO ||| Again, we don’t run adamant, and a simple “provides extra wallbreaking power” is all good Tera Dark also boosts the power of Sucker Punch, while giving it an immunity to Psychic-type attacks from Indeedee-M, Munkidori, and Gallade.

Toxicroak best pairs with Pokemon that lure in fatter Water-types such as Vaporeon and Milotic, such as so good partners would be Water-types like Inteleon and Basculegion and Fire-types like Incineroar and Talonflame. Inteleon is a noteworthy partner, as it checks the common Ground- and Fire-types like Flygon, Gligar, and Chandelure, and it can actually pivot on Water-immune Pokemon thanks to its access to U-turn, helping Inteleon keep up momentum. In return, Toxicroak handles can take advantage of the bulky Water- and Grass-types such as Vaporeon, Tentacruel you have said milo a lot and tcruel is debatably better (but not imo) Milotic, and Tsareena by either boosting its attacks or throwing off high base power attacks. Toxicroak gets threatens by Psychic-types such as Indeedee-M, Meloetta, and Munkidori and Espeon, better mon so it best pairs with Dark- and Steel-types like Umbreon, Incineroar, Brute Bonnet, and Umbreon, and Bronzong that checks the aforementioned Psychic-types. Poison-types like Galarian Slowbro and Dragalge and Galarian Slowbro can cause many problems for Toxicroak, thus it makes Steel Psychic- and Ground-types like Meloetta Copperajah, Flygon, and Swampert great partners to handle the aforementioned Poison-types. Ground-immune Pokemon like Talonflame, Rotom-C, and Bronzong, and Talonflame are great partners for Toxicroak as they are able to check Ground-types such as Flygon and Quagsire Swampert. However, all of these Ground-types have to be cautious of Nasty Plot variants.

**Fire-types**: Dry Skin gives Toxicroak a slight weakness to Fire-types. Hisuian Typhlosion resists Toxicroak Gunk Shot, while being immune to its Fighting-type STAB and easily OHKOes back. However, Hisuian Typhlosion can be pick off by Sucker Punch. Choice Scarf Toxicroak can outspeed common threats like Chandelure, Infernape, and Choice Band Flygon. **Ground-types**: Flygon, Swampert, and Gastrodon threatens Toxicroak with their STAB Ground-type attacks, but none of them want to switch into a Boosted Close Combat or Focus Blast. Quagsire can shut down Toxicroak sweeping attempts and destroy it with a STAB Earthquake. However, Quagsire fairs a bit worse against Nasty Plot Toxicroak. Gligar is notable for resisting resists both of Toxicroak duel STAB attacks and can yse it to set up entry hazards using it as setting up entry hazards or hit it back with Earthquake, but Gligar has to worry about switching into Knock Off or Ice Punch variants. Palossand is especially noteworthy, though, as it blanks Fighting-type attacks, resists Poison-type moves, and doesn't take way too much from Sucker Punch.

Chandelure requires a Choice Scarf to outspeed Toxicroak allowing it to destroy Toxicroak, but it has worried about switching into Knock Off or Dark Pulse.

i say remove this because i dont feel its that concerning overall

**Poison-types**: Galarian Slowbro and Dragalge resist both of Toxicroak duel STAB attacks, and they can either set up or hit it back with their own STAB attacks. However, both of them have to worried about switching into Earthquake variants.

**Psychic-types**: Munkidori, Gallade, and Espeon Meloetta destroys Toxicroak with their powerful STAB attacks. However, none of them want to switch into a Boosted Dark Pulse and they can also be pick off by Sucker Punch. Indeedee-M will always win in a 1v1 against Toxicroak due to Psychic Terrain, but it can't switch in into its duel STAB attacks.

**Flying-types**: Kilowattrel and Talonflame both outspeeds Toxicroak and OHKO with their STAB attacks. Additionally, Talonflame can also burn Toxicroak with Will-O-Wisp or if switch into a Fighting-type attack. However, neither of them want to switch into Its Gunk Shot or Sludge Wave.

Toxicroak stands out for having the unique combination of Dry Skin and two good setup options and a great typing both offensively and defensively, which makes Toxicroak it the premier switch-in to bulky Water-types like Vaporeon and Milotic, as it can take advantage of them by going for Swords Dance or Nasty Plot or fire off its high-Base Power attacks. fluff Additionally, Toxicroak can revenge kill faster threats like Flygon, Munkidori, and Mienshao either with Sucker Punch or Vacuum Wave after they are weakened. these priority attacks are weak, instead note how Toxicroak is less susceptible to being revenge killed after setting up despite its middling speed because it has priority moves. Toxicroak can even check offensive Water-types like Inteleon, Basculegion, and Paldean Tauros-W if needed move these to where you mention Vaporeon and Milotic; you can just say Water-types in general . However, Toxicroak biggest problem is its frailty; if it switches in to any non-Water-type attack from these threats, it gets easily 2HKOed maybe mention that Toxicroak has a good defensive typing despite its poor bulk, which lets it set up on stuff like Vileplume, Choice-locked Fighting-types, or Tsareena as possible examples. Toxicroak also struggles against physically defensive Ground- and Poison-types like Palossand, Galarian Slowbro, and Dragalge, as they can take both of its STAB attacks and proceed to threaten Toxicroak back with their own STAB moves. Additionally, Toxicroak also faces Fighting-type competition against Mienshao and Breloom, which are both stronger and don't require setup, making them more consistent at times. good finishing sentences :)

Close Combat is the preferred STAB option allowing Toxicroak to 2HKO defensive walls like Alolan Muk and Klefki with Stealth Rock. Alternatively, Drain Punch helps provide more longevity against foes like Alolan Muk and Swampert, and it can counteract Life Orb chip if needed. Sucker Punch helps Toxicroak to pick off revenge killers and weakened threats alike such as Munkidori and Flygon you can mention Tera Dark and its damage calcs here instead of at the end. Both Knock Off and Earthquake can be run in the last moveslot to hit checks like Palossand, Galarian Slowbro, and Dragalge harder, but Toxicroak's low Speed makes it prefer a priority move in most situations. Ice Punch allows Toxicroak to hit the Ground- and Dragon-types like Gligar, Flygon, and Dragalge, but Toxicroak struggles to fit it. Encore allows Toxicroak to take advantage of bulky setup sweepers and hazard leads like Cresselia, Swampert, and Sylveon by giving it a free opportunity to setup set up either Sword Swords Dance or Nasty Plot.

**Ground-types**: Flygon, Swampert, and Gastrodon threaten Toxicroak with their STAB Ground-type attacks, but none of them want to switch into a boosted Close Combat or Focus Blast. Quagsire can shut down Toxicroak Toxicroak's sweeping attempts with Unaware and destroy it with a STAB Earthquake. However, Quagsire fairs fares a bit worse against Nasty Plot Toxicroak. Gligar resists both of Toxicroak Toxicroak's STAB attacks and can use uses it to set up entry hazards or hit hits it back with Earthquake. Palossand is especially noteworthy, though, as it blanks Fighting-type attacks, resists Poison-type moves, and doesn't take way too much from Sucker Punch.

**Poison-types**: Galarian Slowbro and Dragalge resist both of Toxicroak Toxicroak's STAB attacks, and they can either set up or hit it back with their own STAB attacks.

**Psychic-types**: Munkidori and Meloetta destroy Toxicroak with their powerful STAB attacks. However, none of them want to switch into a boosted Dark Pulse and they can also be pick picked off by Sucker Punch. Indeedee-M will always win in a 1v1 one-on-one against Toxicroak due to Psychic Terrain, but it can't switch in.

[OVERVIEW]

Toxicroak stands out for having the unique rare combination of Dry Skin and a great typing both offensively and defensively, which makes it the premier switch-in to Water-types like Vaporeon, Milotic, Paldean Tauros-W, Basculegion, and Inteleon. Toxicroak is also less susceptible to being revenge killed after it setups Toxicroak having has set up; its access to priority moves making makes it a lot more harder to revenge killed kill despite its middling Speed. However, Toxicroak Toxicroak's biggest problem is its frailty; if it switches in to into any non-Water-type attack from these threats, it gets easily 2HKOed, but Toxicroak’s Toxicroak's (Fix apostrophe) good defensive typing gives it more opportunities to setup set up against foes like Vileplume, Choice Scarf Mienshao, and Tsareena. Toxicroak also struggles against physically defensive Ground- and Poison-types like Palossand, Galarian Slowbro, and Dragalge, as they can take both of its STAB attacks and proceed to threaten Toxicroak back with their own STAB moves. Additionally, Toxicroak also faces Fighting-type competition against with Mienshao and Breloom, which are both stronger, making them more consistent at times.

Close Combat is the preferred STAB option, (AC) allowing Toxicroak to 2HKO defensive walls like Alolan Muk and Klefki with Stealth Rock. Alternatively, Drain Punch helps provide more longevity against foes like Alolan Muk and Swampert, and it can counteract Life Orb chip if needed. Sucker Punch helps Toxicroak to pick off revenge killers and weakened threats alike such as Munkidori and Flygon; (ASC) with Tera Dark it allows Toxicroak to OHKO foes like Inteleon and Kilowattrel after a Swords Dance boost. Both Knock Off and Earthquake can be run in the last moveslot to hit checks like Palossand, Galarian Slowbro, and Dragalge harder, but Toxicroak's low Speed makes it prefer a priority move in most situations. A Jolly nature lets Toxicroak to outspend outspeed foes like Heracross and Chandelure, but an Adamant nature provides it a bit more wallbreaking power. Leftovers is the preferred item for Toxicroak, (AC) providing it needed recovery (RC) and letting it continually cone in and check bulky Water-types. However, Life Orb provides Toxicroak a bit more extra wallbreaking power.

Toxicroak best pairs with Pokemon that lure in bulkier Water-types such as Vaporeon and Milotic, so good partners would be Water-types like Inteleon and Basculegion and Fire-types like Incineroar and Talonflame, (AC) as all of them are able to pivot giving and give it a free switch-in against switch into the aforementioned bulky Water-types. Inteleon is a noteworthy partner, as it checks the common Ground- and Fire-types like Flygon, Gligar, and Chandelure, and it can actually pivot on Water-immune Pokemon thanks to its access to U-turn, helping Inteleon keep up momentum. In return, Toxicroak can take advantage of the bulky Water- and Grass-types such as Vaporeon, Tentacruel, and Tsareena. Toxicroak gets threatened by Psychic-types such as Indeedee-M, Meloetta, and Munkidori, so it best pairs well with Dark- and Steel-types like Umbreon, Incineroar, and Bronzong that check the aforementioned Psychic-types. Poison-types like Dragalge and Galarian Slowbro can cause many problems for Toxicroak, thus it makes making Psychic- and Ground-types like Meloetta, Flygon, and Swampert great partners. Ground-immune Pokemon like Talonflame, Rotom-C, and Bronzong are great partners for Toxicroak, (AC) as they are able to check Ground-types such as Flygon and Swampert. Toxicroak also appreciates Water- and Rock-types like Vaporeon, Swampert, and Diancie to consistently switch into Fire-types like Chandelure, Infernape, and Hisuian Typhlosion making them great partners. Dark Pulse hits Psychic- and Ghost-types like Galarian Slowbro, Chandelure, and Basculegion that would resist or be immune to its STAB attacks. Vacuum Wave can be used over Dark Pulse, (AC) allowing Toxicroak to KO revenge killers foes like Porygon-Z, Flygon, and Inteleon. A Timid nature allows Toxicroak to outspeed foes like non-Choice Scarf Chandelure and Basculegion, but a Modest nature allows it to OHKO foes like Swampert with a +2 Focus Blast. Life Orb is preferred for its immediate power, (AC) allowing Toxicroak to always 2HKO foes like Swampert and Sylveon, but Leftovers can provide Toxicroak needed recovery over a course of the battle.

Toxicroak pairs well with pivots like Inteleon, Flygon, and Incineroar, (AC) as they can bring in foes like Vaporeon, Vileplume, and Alolan Muk giving and give Toxicroak a free opportunity to setup set up. Toxicroak synergies best with Steel- and Dark-types like Bronzong, Umbreon, and Incineroar, (AC) as they can check Psychic-types such as Munkidori, Indeedee-M, and Meloetta. In return, Toxicroak can pressure and take advantage of the Fighting- and Fairy-types that threaten them (Redundant phrase) like Sylveon, Florges, and Mienshao that give these Pokemon trouble. Ground-types like Flygon, Swampert, and Palossand can tank Toxicroak's unboosted attacks and OHKO it with their Ground-type STAB moves. So it best Therefore, Toxicroak partners well with bulky Water- and Grass-types like Vaporeon, Tsareena, and Vileplume, (AC) as they can check the aforementioned Ground-types.

Air Balloon gives Toxicroak a useful immunity to Ground-type attacks, (AC) giving it more opportunities to setup set up. Alternatively, Shuca Berry lets Toxicroak better lure in and damage Flygon and Swampert, as it's discrete discreet; however, the majority of the time, (AC) Toxicroak prefers to run other items.
