SS OU Toxtricity Bulky Offence

Hey, what's up!

I've been hanging around these RMT's looking for sample teams to climb the ladder with, but after a while i've been trying to make a more creative team that doesn't get me called something like a "meta-hugger" or "meta slave". But then again I am still quite new so I would appreciate any kind of advice. So here I present to you my attempt at making a Toxtricity BO.

THE TEAM:
:ss/toxtricity:

Toxtricity @ Choice Specs
Ability: Punk Rock
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Boomburst
- Overdrive
- Volt Switch
- Sludge Wave

This is the main pokemon I wanted to build the team around. It serves as a wallbreaker with specs and with punk rock boosted attacks it actually hits REALLY hard. The mon also has a really good offensive typing imo, although it dies horribly to any sort of ground type attack. The main move you will be spamming here is boomburst and volt switch. Sludge wave is there to hit fairy types such as Clefable.

:ss/rillaboom:

Rillaboom @ Choice Band
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Wood Hammer
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Rillaboom is here for the grassy terrain setup as well as covering Toxtricity quite well. I have grassy glide for priority, wood hammer to hit slower mons, knock off to hit ghost types and provide knock support and U-turn is there to pivot. Band Rillaboom is the most viable set for BO and I chose Adamant over Jolly because who even uses Jolly on this thing.

:ss/corviknight:

Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 196 Def / 60 SpD
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Defog
- Brave Bird
- U-turn

Corviknight is the flying type and defogger of the team. The EV's I took from smogon because I was in a rush when making this team. Roost is there for instant recovery, u-turn for a slow pivot to get in my softer mons in and brave bird for my attacking move over body press.

:ss/dragapult:

Dragapult @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Shadow Ball
- Flamethrower
- U-turn

Dragapult serves as speed control for the team and as a sweeper when the enemies are weakened. I chose specs over scarf because I don't really need to outspeed Kartana when I can just check it with Corv. And overall, I chose to run this set because I really appreciate the instant damage that the specs provide over running a DD set or something along those lines.

:ss/swampert:

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Damp
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Flip Turn
- High Horsepower
- Stealth Rock
- Yawn

Swampert is here to counter some suicide leads such as Mew and Lando-t if they run explosion, he's also here because I needed a ground type and a slow pivot. Yawn over toxic because I don't think I need anymore wallbreaking help, and plus, yawn forces out some setup sweepers such as SD Kart and SD Garchomp.

:ss/volcarona:

Volcarona @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Fiery Dance
- Bug Buzz
- Psychic

This is the basic QD volc set. If the enemy has a really bad match up against this beast it'll set up two QD and becomes almost unstoppable. It also serves as a wincon when needed but it can be walled HARD by a specially defensive Heatran.

Anyways, that's the team. I would appreciate any sort of advice or tips because again, I am still new to SS OU. Apart from that. Happy laddering!

Overall a solid team. Toxtricity isnt used much in ou since due to its poor speed and weakness laden typing, it's a bit hit or miss. However i personally like it and if your adamant about using it, go for it, as it punishes many popular walls like toxapex, corv/skarm, clef and the sometimes the slow twins. There are many mons that wall it pretty hard, but most wont like switching in to its attack, so take advantage of the many switch moves on your team to get it in safely on slower mons. From what I can see, there isnt a single mon that threatens the whole team, but it's important to understand what counters what to make sure no holes are exploited on the team. For example, if swampert goes down, a specially defensive heatran can wreck your team. So watch out and play cautiously around certain mons. Also, you may want to consider running something like rocky helmet on either swampert or corviknight, to punish physical attacker heavily, especiallly against something like unburdened hawlucha, who could be a real nuisance to your team.

Thanks for the feedback! I actually have updated this team, I gave rocky helmet to my corviknight already. About the Heatran problem i'm not exactly sure what to do about it, so I would appreviate a bit of help in that area.

Edit: i'm experimenting with some new mons here that would help with this problem and the main candidate here is a LO Swords Dance Blaziken to replace Volcarona as the sweeping fire type of the team. It has a STAB close combat that absolutely deletes Heatran. So anyways, here is the set.

:ss/blaziken:

Blaziken @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Thunder Punch
