[SET COMMENTS]

Toxtricity is one of the most potent wallbreakers in the tier. Thanks to Punk Rock, Boomburst is able to severely pressure many typical Electric-type checks, such as Steelix, Seismitoad, and Rhyperior, to say nothing of more offensive Electric-type responses in Zygarde-10% and Zarude. Overdrive is actually weaker than Boomburst when both hit for neutral damage, but it's able to hit common Steel-types, such Stakataka, Registeel, and Metagross, much harder and hit Suicune through a Substitute, which Volt Switch cannot. Volt Switch chunks general special sponges like Umbreon and Registeel that just barely avoid 2HKOes the first time around, and thus allowing Toxtricity to 2HKO them on the next switch-in with Boomburst and Overdrive, respectively. Volt Switch is also pivotal against Porygon2, as it exploits Porygon2's lack of even passive recovery by keeping momentum against it and preventing it from staying healthy with Recover for later. Snarl OHKOes Lightning Rod Alolan Marowak while also hitting the less common Golurk for a 2HKO. If Alolan Marowak and Golurk are not concerns, Sludge Bomb is a strong alternative that allows Toxtricity to still 2HKO Alolan Marowak after Stealth Rock, and it puts significantly more pressure onto Porygon2, Umbreon, and Snorlax by virtue of its 30% poison chance while also OHKOing Gardevoir and Zarude. A Modest nature preferred for the hefty damage boost it provides, as Timid doesn't hit generally key Speed tiers.

Zarude is one of the best offensive teammates for Toxtricity thanks to its propensity to force in the likes of Togekiss, Galarian Weezing, and Crobat, all of which it can pivot on with U-turn to bring in Toxtricity for a chance to dent the opposing team. Porygon2 is by far the most annoying foe for Toxtricity to deal with, which makes the likes of Cobalion, Mienshao, and Heracross powerful teammates to remove it and the likes of Steelix, Registeel, and Umbreon. Mienshao in particular can utilize Choice Scarf to revenge kill faster Pokemon for Toxtricity. Spikes from the likes of Klefki and even the aforementioned Heracross allows Toxtricity to guarantee the OHKO on max HP Seismitoad and 2HKO on Umbreon after Protect with Boomburst.

[SET COMMENTS]

Shift Gear allows Toxtricity to turn itself into a potent late-game cleaner that's capable of pushing past some of the few defensive checks typically used to handle it. Boomburst and Overdrive combine for near perfect coverage. Drain Punch allows Toxtricity to actually use Porygon2, Choice Specs Toxtricity's biggest counter, as complete setup fodder, and 2HKO Registeel at +2 while recovering any damage they might inflict. Mild is the preferred nature, as Toxtricity typically will set up on weaker special attacks from the likes of Galarian Weezing, Togekiss, and Porygon2. Hasty is an option in order to outspeed Choice Scarf Zarude and Choice Scarf Mienshao after setting up, but the drop in power is quite noticeable. Life Orb preserves Toxtricity's great wallbreaking potential before a sweep is possible, as it maintains a high chance to OHKO max HP Seismitoad after Stealth Rock and it gives the ability to 2HKO Porygon2 and Registeel with Drain Punch after two Shift Gears, which aren't hard to get against these Pokemon. Throat Spray is a fine alternative, as it allows Toxtricity more chances to sweep due to the lack of Life Orb recoil, but one must be more selective in Toxtricity's use, as Boomburst and Overdrive both will activate Throat Spray the moment they are used.

As this set focuses more on sweeping, it appreciates entry hazard support to wear down its checks more reliably. Cobalion is ideal for more offensive teams, and it can utilize Volt Switch to switch Toxtricity into the likes of Milotic and Crobat to threaten major damage or give a setup opportunity late-game. Dual Screens support from Klefki is especially useful for Throat Spray variants, as the extra bulk afforded greatly increases the number of Pokemon Toxtricity can safely set up on. Klefki can also utilize Spikes to wear down Toxtricity's checks more quickly. While Choice Scarf users aren't generally an issue for Toxtricity once it sets up, Extreme Speed from the likes of Zygarde-10% and Entei can cut a sweep short if Toxtricity is weakened. Zarude is a nice check to Zygarde-10%, while Milotic and Diancie both do well against Entei, with Milotic giving slow Flip Turns and Diancie giving Stealth Rock support. Indeedee is an alternative way to protect against priority, as it nullifies priority attempts with Psychic Terrain. Other setup sweepers, such as Shell Smash Cloyster, Shell Smash Polteageist, Nasty Plot Thundurus, and Swords Dance Mimikyu, can join forces with Toxtricity on hyper offense teams to attempt to overwhelm the opposition.

Thanks to Punk Rock, Boomburst is able to severely pressure many typical Electric-type checks, such as Steelix, Seismitoad, and Rhyperior to say nothing of more offensive Electric type responses in Zygarde-10% and Zarude. Overdrive is actually weaker than Boomburst when both hit for neutral damage, but it's able to cleanly OHKO the likes of Milotic, Suicune, and Crobat and even hits Suicune through a potential Substitute by virtue of being a sound-based move. (STAB Electric moves do indeed KO Water- and Flying-types. Explain instead how Overdrive perfectly compliments Boomburst by hitting Normal resistant and immune 'mons.) Volt Switch chunks general special sponges like Umbreon and Registeel whom just barely avoid 2HKOes the first time around, and thus allowing Toxtricity to 2HKO them on the next switch in with Boomburst and Overdrive respectively. Volt Switch is also pivotal against Porygon2 as it exploits Porygon2's lack of even passive recovery by keeping momentum against it and preventing it from staying healthy with Recover for later. Snarl OHKOes Lightningrod Alolan Marowak while also hitting the less common Golurk and Dhelmise for clean 2HKOes. (Overdrive does more to Dhelmise) If Alolan Marowak and Golurk are not concerns, Sludge Wave is a strong alternative that allows Toxtricity to still 2HKO Alolan Marowak after Stealth Rock as well as put significantly more pressure onto Porygon2 if it's not healthy. The EVs simply maximize Speed and Special Attack for Toxtricity with a (no need to explain 252 spreads) A Modest nature preferred for the hefty damage boost it provides as Timid doesn't hit generally key Speed tiers.
Zarude is one of the best offensive teammates for Toxtricity thanks to its propensity of forcing in the likes of Togekiss, Galarian Weezing Weezing-Galar, and Crobat, all of which it can U-turn on to bring in Toxtricity for a chance to dent the opposing team. Spikes from the likes of Klefki and even the aforementioned Heracross allows Toxtricity to guarantee the OHKO on 252 HP Seismitoad (nitpick, if you want to keep use max > 252) and 2HKO on Umbreon after Protect with Boomburst.

Shift Gear allows Toxtricity to turn itself into a potent late-game cleaner that's capable of pushing past some of the few defensive checks typically used to handle it. Boomburst and Overdrive are mandatory options and they can still push through many bulky Pokemon. (Why are they mandatory? Just say instead that Boomburst + Overdrive is near-perfect coverage.) Drain Punch allows Toxtricity to actually use Porygon2, the Choice Specs set's biggest counter, as complete setup fodder while also 2HKOing Registeel at +2. Mild is the preferred nature as Toxtricity typically will setup on weaker special attacks from the likes of Galarian Weezing Weezing-Galar, Togekiss, and Porygon2. Life Orb is the preferred item choice for its consistency and ability to preserve Toxtricity's great wallbreaking potential before a sweep is possible. (A bit Vague and doesn't say much, especially for newcomers. Explain instead what specific OHKOes or 2HKOes it achieves with LO.) Throat Spray is a fine alternative as it allows Toxtricity more chances to sweep due to the lack of Life Orb recoil, but one must be more selective in Toxtricity's use as Boomburst and Overdrive both will activate Throat Spray the moment they are used.
As this Toxtricity focuses more on sweeping, it appreciates entry hazard support to wear down its checks more reliably. Cobalion is ideal for more offensive teams and can utilize Volt Switch to switch Toxtricity into the likes of Milotic and Crobat to threaten major damage or give a setup opportunity late-game. Seismitoad is a nice Stealth Rock user on bulkier teams as it can utilize Knock Off to remove key items, such as Porygon2's Eviolite and Heavy-Duty Boots from Zarude, making it easier for Toxtricity or its other teammates to push past them. Dual Screens support from Klefki is especially useful for Throat Spray variants as the extra bulk afforded greatly increases the amount of Pokemon Toxtricity can safely set up on. While Choice Scarf users aren't generally an issue for Toxtricity once it sets up, Extreme Speed from the likes of Zygarde-10% and Entei can cut a sweep short. (CB E-speed from Zydog does 55.8 - 65.7%, which is a lot but not enough to pose as a big hinder to its sweep unless weakened. I would say Zydog/Entei can revenge kill a weakened Tox.) Togekiss and Zarude are good checks to Zygarde-10% while Suicune, Milotic, and Diancie all do well against Entei with special mentions going to Milotic for slow Flip Turns and Diancie for Stealth Rock support. Indeedee is an alternative way to protect against priority as it can summon Psychic Terrain to nullify priority attempts and can utilize Trick to cripple the likes of Umbreon and Registeel that tend to switch into it.

first paragraph is good, second paragraph is a bit iffy because generally you're using shift gear toxt on very offensive teams, think screens or ho spikestacks. so stuff like seismi togekiss milo are more balanced picks that don't fit into these types of teams. would mention screens, spikes, other cleaners or just stuff that fits on ho
