Trainer Jimmy's Unova Team

(Disclaimer) This is a theme team based off of the Non-Canon character Jimmy, Therefore Beedrill and Typhlosion are used.

Why OU: Droughttails, Weavile, and Ferrothorn

Hi! My names Jimmy! You may know me as the guy from Johto who helped save Raikou.

Well, after rocking the Johto League, im made my way to Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova!

Ive captured many pals along the way and have developed a team from them!

Here it is! Tell me how you like it!

Ferrothorn @ White Herb
Nature: Calm
Ability: Iron Barbs
252 HP/6 Def/252 SpD

Spikes
Stealth Rock
Power Whip
Gyro Ball

My Lead. Its a rather unorthodox set but I think it'll be pretty effective. Stealth Rock + 3 Layers of Spikes is a great combination! White Herb is to stop Taunt. Whimsicott is an annoying counter. Im only expecting to get SR up. If I manage to get Spikes up, it'll be icing on the cake. Gyro Ball and Power Whip are stabs if I do get an opportunity to attack

Beedril @ Focus Sash
Nature: Docile
Ability: Swarm
252 Spe/ 128 HP/ 128 SpD

Toxic Spikes
Agility
Poison Jab
Endeavor

-Face Palm- It WAS suppose to be Focus "Sash"

Beedrill has been with me for a while. Although not the best pokemon, He's still a member of my team.

I use him for either, Toxic Spikes Support, or Suicide Take down via Endeavor.
Weedle was my first ever capture, cant just toss him aside!
Beedrill isn't a commonly used poke. This set fills the lead/Entry Hazard support position via Toxic Spikes, but also offers a "Trap Card" with Endeavor, allowing a free revenge kill for me via Weavile.

Cofagrigus @ Leftovers
Nature: Careful
Ability: Mummy
252 HP/ 6 Def/ 252 SpD

Power Split
Shadow Ball
Will-O-Wisp
Embargo

My Wall and Crippler. Has gotten me out of alot of Jams. This Cofagrigus set is what I use regularly. It's meant to weaken both forms of attackers, hence the careful nature. As you can see, many of my team is easily swept, therefore this set works wonders. Harvest Stall Tropius/ Left over stalls/ Scarfers and the like don't see Embargo coming. Though gimmicky, its VERY effective.

Ninetails (F) @ Eject Button
Nature: Timid
Ability: Drought
252 SpA/ 252 Spe

Flamethrower
Will-o-Wisp
Extrasensory
Solar Beam

This Ninetails is an offspring of one of my best pals. Its mother came to me in a strange series of events!

My Standard offensive set. Will-o-Wisp for Crippling. Eject Button is a Just-in-case-I-need-Drought-again. Safety. Conkeldurr can be a pain. So Extrasensory is meant to cover him, and other pokes. Flamethrower is a reliable stab choice. Solar Beam is depised by alot of people. Being countered by obvious weather switch in, Ninetails wont be in the match till towards the end, or if I get a comfortable foothold where I can have Drought up, and Use Solar Beam Safely.

Weavile @ Life Orb
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Pressure
252 Atk/ 252 Spe

Ice Punch
Night Slash
Brick Break
Fake Out

Weavile is a major powerhouse within my team. Hes helped me many times in the Sinnoh League! He provides Coverage and Sweep! Guaranteed Revenge kill with Endeavor from Beedrill allows me to bait a counter. With Entry Hazard support, Fake Out + a Turn of poison should put anything in range of a KO with LO. Its counters are checked by cofagrigus Respectively. "Anytime a weavile is 2HKO'd by a Brick Break from Poliwrath...."

And Now.... The poke who I started my journey with.... Has helped me many of times..... Introducing........

☆Typhlosion @ Choice Scarf☆
Nature: Modest
Ability: Blaze
252 SpA/ 252 Spe

Eruption
Focus Blast
Fire Blast
Solar Beam

Nothing but speed and power! My Teams Anchor! Stab Eruption under Sun is Overkill.

This set is... basic, common, call it what you will. Entry Hazard Support + Eruption provides the same sweeping capability as Weavile, but on a larger scale.

Running into entry hazards on this set prompts the use of Fire Blast. if it gets down to blaze range, Fire Blast under the sun would become your strongest stab move (Ignoring Blast Burn that is)

And there you have it! Comment and rate! Post suggestions if you like!(D(

Golurk some more and Bisharpen your team. Then talk to me again.

69th post.

Expand your descriptions, or fear the mods that might lock this under violation of Rule #3.

Now, to nitpick your individual Pokemon.

Ferrothorn @ Chesto Berry
Nature: Calm
Ability: Iron Barbs
252 HP/6 Def/252 SpD

Spikes
Stealth Rock
Rest
Gyro Ball

No. This set is just not as good as what is prescribed. The EVs are whack, and Rest is an inferior option to Leech Seed. I'd recommend a set of Leech Seed / Spikes / Power Whip / Protect. The EVs should be 252 HP / 44 Def / 212 SDef with a Relaxed Nature.

Beedril @ Focus Band
Nature: Docile
Ability: Swarm
252 Spe/ 128 HP/ 128 SpD

Toxic Spikes
Agility
Poison Jab
Endeavor

Beedrill sucks. Seriously. Most Bugs do a good job at outclassing Beedrill. If you want a Toxic Spiker bug, go with Forretress or Scolipede. If you want a physically-inclined bug, go with Scizor. If you want a sweeper, go with Volcarona or Scizor. Docile isn't doing anything for your Beedrill. Focus Band is not reliable at all, because you're relying on chance to save you and the sand, powerful sweepers lurking, and entry hazards flying around do your Beedrill no favors. Did you add this member in purely to mess with potential raters?

Cofagrigus @ Leftovers
Nature: Careful
Ability: Mummy
252 HP/ 6 Def/ 252 SpD

Power Split
Shadow Ball
Will-O-Wisp
Embargo

Taunt messes with this set like none other. Power Split is gimmicky. I applaud you for trying to use Cofagrigus, but this is just not that good. 1. There's no method of reliable recovery. 2. Embargo is gimmicky at best. 3. No. The EVs are inferior. They should be 252 HP / 136 Def / 120 SDef and ran with a Bold Nature. The moves should be Rest / Haze / Shadow Ball / Will-o-Wisp.

Ninetails (F) @ Eject Button
Nature: Calm
Ability: Drought
252 SpA/ 252 Spe

Flamethrower
Will-o-Wisp
Extrasensory
Solar Beam

When will people learn that Solarbeam is a horrible move that should not be used at all? This Ninetales is begging Tyranitar and other weather inducers to come in and ruin its fun. I would recommend changing your Ninetales's moveset to one found on Katakiri's Sun team RMT. Where are your last 4 EVs?
Blazing Katakiri said:
White Wolfos (Ninetales) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Drought
EVs: 216 SAtk / 76 SDef / 216 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Overheat
- Will-O-Wisp
- Safeguard
- Power Swap

Weavile @ Life Orb
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Pressure
252 Atk/ 252 Spe

Ice Punch
Night Slash
Brick Break
Fake Out

Help me. A Weavile? In my OU? In all seriousness, this is probably the most decent member of your team, and even then, it's not so decent. Fake Out is cool, but this set will run into problems with Scizor and Excadrill. I'd recommend changing Fake Out to Ice Shard and placing those last 4 EVs in Defense.

☆Typhlosion @ Choice Scarf☆
Nature: Modest
Ability: Blaze
252 SpA/ 252 Spe

Eruption
Focus Blast
Fire Blast
Solar Beam

Typhlosion suffers from a serious problem of being outclassed by just about every Fire-type commonly seen. Stealth Rock gives it worries and Heatran makes Typhlosion set-up fodder. The traditional Sand sweepers aren't doing it any favors as well. Refer to my critique about your Ninetales to hear my opinion regarding Solarbeam.

Overall, this team needs plenty of changes to even have a chance in OU. Good luck. You'll need it.

I reccomend adding pictures to this so it's easier to read. put a sash on beedrill instead of a band as a band could fail you. put energy ball on ninetails instead of solorbeam as another weather starter could come in and change the weather, switch, then as you change once eject is gone, he csan set up and sweep. Also use HP instead of solarbeam on typholsian for the same reason.
