All true I reckon the movieverse story of Megatron should have been this:

1st movie: The potrayal of megatron was great! He pretty much made everyone shit themselves!! I mean he ripped Jazz in half with his bare hands for cryin out loud! However i hate that he was killed by Sam and he should have instead been beaten down by a five-on-one (assuming he didn't kill Jazz prior to this) once all the decepticons have been destroyed and fled badly damaged!!

2nd movie: I hate how they brought Megs back to life just to be the Fallen's yes-man. If they had to do this at all I reckon they should have done it lwith Megatron slowly losing faith in his leader during the movie and Betraying him at the end. However his Tactical retreat at the showed he had at least some dignity left

3rd movie: Short version: Megs mad deal with Sentinel. Sentinel revived. Sentinel made Megatron lose the spotlight. Supermodel calls him bitch and kills sentinel. Megs gets head ripped of in what is most possibly the most boring giant-robot-fight eva. Need i say More?

And as for the movies, they're not bad. One was cool just because it was a Transformers movie, and the second one was just pretty stupid (Jetfire had Alzheimer's and Mudflap and Skids were just...) The third one was the only one with an actual plot, and wasn't focused on ESPLOSIONS.

This is why the splitting of Cong., Internet Renaissance, and Firebot was the worst thing to happen to Smogon.

Everything is now just all grouped together and nobody takes anything seriously.

I'm not talking specificly about this topic, more about pretty much everything on this board.

But I don't want to continue on anymore and derail the OP's thread. Back to Transformers!



Anyways, I agree that the movies not only suck as movies, but are a great disservice to Transformers fans. It pretty much had nothing redeemable about them.

I know the "R" word is considered terrible, but this is one series a reboot I wouldn't mind. Just so long as they get Peter Cullen to voice Optimus again.

I am planning on making a fan-fic version of the movies where the story will be based more on the toy characters rather than the movie plots

also all the transformers movies are absolute garbage, saw the 3rd one in indy with fellow smogoners and man. it was a monumental waste of money, but at least we could all laugh at it together!!!

Haha many people I know consider the word reboot a dreaded word due to Hollywood's recent obsession with rebooting lots of franchises.
 
Saw the first from Blockbuster, was meh.

Saw the second on TV, plot appeared to be "let's see if we can make money off of slow-mo shots of megan fox boob jiggles"

Didn't see the third one, don't plan on it ever.
 
Third one's not bad, actually. Helluva lot better than the second one, even though they got a girl way hotter than Megan and just killed off her character. :/ Humans do a bit of ass-kicking in this one too. Not the best movie ever, but worth picking up from netflix or whatever.

I actually like the fact that people (usually) have to put effort into their OPs to be taken seriously. If the OP had put thought into this and actually gave us specific things to talk about, maybe something serious might have happened. But for now, I'm just going to say transformers have gone a long way since their inception:

I have watched this movie literally dozens of time and have been watching it as long as I can remember. It even has a good fight between Optimus and Megatron.
Also it's not really that good terrible animation, extremely cheesy, but its easily better than the Bay films.

I mean it has Leonard Nimoy and it was Orson Welles' last movie. Gotta be pretty okay, right?
