Clefable @ Sticky Barb / Choice Scarf
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Trick
- Stealth Rock / Thunder Wave
- Soft-Boiled

Clefable sets itself apart as an excellent trick user due to magic guard, allowing it to not take adverse affects from items that it wants to trick. Clefable is good at using trick due to its bulk and typing allowing it to take a hit, and proceeding to trick an item onto bulky steel types such as Ferrothorn, Corviknight or Melmetal. Additionally, due to the excellence of Fairy STAB moves, Clefable does not need coverage. Sticky Barb is the preferred item, as it takes ⅛ of an adversary’s health. However, Choice Scarf can be an excellent tool used on defensive Pokemon, such as Blissey, Toxapex or Ferrothorn to cripple them by taking away their leftovers, as well as locking them into a move. Be careful, however, when the opponent has Galarian Slowking or Tornadus-T, as they might have Assault Vest, and this Clefable is almost useless locked into Moonblast. After tricking its item, Clefable can further support its team through its various utility options. It is an excellent stealth rock setter, as due to its good bulk, most defensive Pokemon cannot touch it, as well as some weaker offensive Pokemon. Thunder Wave is a good move that can be used to cripple defensive Pokemon, such as Toxapex. 56 Special Defense has Clefable not be 2HKOd by Choice Specs Dragapult, Heavy Duty Boots Tapu Koko, and Pivot Dragapult. The Defense EVs help with not getting 2HKOd by Unboosted Garchomp, and Jolly Triple Axel Weavile.

Melmetal, in this set as well as all others, is a danger to Clefable, though it is particularly crippled by Trick due to Melmetal hating getting tricked either item, especially Sticky Barb. Pairing this Pokemon with something that can take hits from Melmetal, such as Toxapex, Slowbro, or Zapdos are good partners. Additionally, due to its comparatively low defense, other defensive walls such as Corviknight, Heatran, and Buzzwole can help handle its weaknesses to setup sweepers like Weavile, Volcarona, and Garchomp. Clefable can also get worn down by heatran, so pokemon that can deal with it such as Garchomp, Landorus-T, or Tapu Fini help quite a bit. Volcarona appreciates Heatran being tricked, so it can have an easier time sweeping. In general, Pokemon that like their checks being chipped or choice locked are excellent partners to this form of Clefable. For instance, Tapu Lele and Dragapult appreciates Melmetal and Heatran getting chipped by Sticky Barb. Tapu Fini enjoys Clefable crippling Toxapex or Ferrothorn.

Clefable sets itself apart as an excellent trick user due to magic guard, allowing it to not take adverse affects from items that it wants to trick. (This is only part of the reason why Clefable is a good Trick user, and Magic Guard only helps with Sticky Barb sets. Clefable is so good at using Trick for a combination of reasons: its bulk and typing often allow it to tank a hit to successfully trick, it lures bulky Steel-types like Melmetal, Ferrothorn, and Corviknight that are particularly harmed by Trick, and it has the available moveslot to run it due to how good Fairy STAB is alone.) Sticky Barb is the preferred item, as it takes ⅛ of an adversary’s health. However, Choice Scarf can be an excellent tool used on defensive Pokemon , such as Blissey, Toxapex or Ferrothorn to cripple them by taking away their leftovers, as well as locking them into a move. (I'd add a bit about how tricking Galarian Slowking and AV Tornadus-T sort of ruins this play, as Clef becomes near useless if it is locked into only using Moonblast) After tricking its item, Clefable can still do many things can further support its team through its various utility options ("many things" is super vague). It is an excellent stealth rock setter, as due to its good bulk, most defensive Pokemon cannot touch it, as well as some weaker offensive Pokemon. Thunder Wave is a good move that can be used to cripple defensive Pokemon, such as Toxapex. Soft-Boiled is good recovery on Clefable, and while Wish is not a terrible option, the lack of Protect and the two turns make it more susceptible to getting chipped, or set up on. (No need to explain recovery, and Wish is not a good option without Protect. Running solo Wish leads to Clef getting overwhelmed quite easily by breakers like Dragapult and Garchomp) 56 Special defense has Clefable not be 2hkod by Choice Specs Dragapult, Heavy Duty Boots Tapu Koko, and Pivot Dragapult. The Defense EVs help with not getting 2HKOd by Unboosted Garchomp, and Jolly Triple Axel Weavile.

Melmetal, in this set as well as all others, is a danger to Clefable, though it is particularly crippled by Trick (this clef set does better than most at dealing with Melm, as it hates getting tricked either item, particularly Sticky Barb, since Melm relies on its massive HP stat). Pairing this Pokemon with something that can take hits from Melmetal, such as Toxapex, Slowbro, or Zapdos are good partners. Additionally, due to its comparatively (clef is bulky; however, it isn't "Toxapex bulky", so "comparatively" sort of conveys that) low defense, other defensive walls such as Corviknight, Heatran, and Buzzwole can help handle its weaknesses to setup sweepers like Weavile, Volcarona, and Garchomp (Tran is just a generally good partner for clef, being able to tank some of the special hits Clef struggles with, and Stealth Rock variants free Clef to run Thunder Wave). Clefable can also get worn down by heatran, so pokemon that can deal with it such as Garchomp, Landorus-T, (Lando is great at dealing with tran, and also frees Clef to run Thunder Wave, potentially) or Tapu Fini help quite a bit. (Tran is super vulnerable to Knock Off, so users of the move like Tornadus-T and Ferrothorn that can bait Heatran into getting knocked are good options. Ferro also helps a bit with Tapu Lele, which can overwhelm Clef.) Volcarona appreciates Heatran being tricked, so it can have an easier time sweeping. In general, Pokemon that like their checks being chipped or choice locked are excellent partners to this form of Clefable. (This sentence is way too general. Be specific here with examples of stuff. For instance, Tapu Lele and Dragapult appreciates Melmetal and Heatran getting chipped by Sticky Barb. Tapu Fini enjoys Clefable crippling Toxapex or Ferrothorn. There are other examples too (Clefable is super splashable, after all), but those are some that could be mentioned.)

(Add a credits section, por favor)

I'd suggest taking a look at the GP standards to fix some of the simple mistakes that may delay this getting a GP check, like capitalizing Pokemon and move names.

Be careful, however, when the opponent has Galarian Slowking or Tornadus-T, as they might have Assault Vest, and this Clefable is almost useless locked into Moonblast. After tricking its item, Clefable can further support its team through its various utility options. doesnt rlly add anything to the set details and is jut unnescessary It is an excellent stealth rock setter, as due to its good bulk, most defensive Pokemon cannot touch it, as well as some weaker offensive Pokemon really vague elaborate on why its a good stealth rock setter and what pokemon ur refering to . Thunder Wave is a good move that can be used to cripple defensive Pokemon, such as Toxapex and?. 56 Special Defense has Clefable not be 2HKOd by Choice Specs Dragapult, Heavy Duty Boots Tapu Koko, and Pivot Dragapult. Clefable can also get worn down by heatran wdym worn down?, so pokemon that can deal with it such as Garchomp, Landorus-T, or Tapu Fini help quite a bit. you can clean this up a bit and just mention most of these as "clefable enjoys defensive support from xyz as it has low defenses and struggles with whatever" you can split it up into a couple points Volcarona appreciates Heatran being tricked, so it can have an easier time sweeping. In general, Pokemon that like their checks being chipped or choice locked are excellent partners to this form of Clefable. For instance, Tapu Lele and Dragapult appreciates Melmetal and Heatran getting chipped by Sticky Barb. Tapu Fini enjoys Clefable crippling Toxapex or Ferrothorn. you could elaborate on this too on how they support each other defensively
