Trick Room in Ubers?

I have been lurking on Smogon for a few months, and I have been reading a lot about Ubers. It is quite possibly the metagame that is most focused upon speed, and I have been thinking if Trick Room would be a viable move. After looking at Serebii, I found at least 6 ubers can use Trick Room.

Users
1. Arceus - With a 120 base in speed, I dunno if he can use it that well. I suppose a -Speed nature and no EV investment could make it fairly unspeedy. It's defenses are good, so it can survive the set up. One important thing I think that should be noted is that it's Extreme Speed still goes first, even in Trick Room.
2. Palkia - It's typing is pretty good defensively. It only have one weakness, Dragon, but that's pretty common with the Latis, Rayquaza, and possibly more. The 100 Speed is middling, so it can again be slow enough with a - Speed Nature and no EVs.
3. Dialga - One of my favored users. It's 90 Speed makes it one of the slowest users, tied with the defensive Deoxys. With valuable resists and few weaknesses (It is only weak to ground and fighting, which I don't believe are that common), it could be made bulky enough to lead, survive the first hit, set up trick room, and do some good damage with it's 150 Special Attack.
4. Deoxys - The only form I could see effectively using Trick Room is defense, which isn't too good. I suppose the attack form could hold an iron ball to half his speed, but that probably sacrifices a bit too much power since they usually carry life orb/choice item.
5. Mewtwo - After reading the analysis for Mewtwo, I found it usually holds Lefties, which, well, doesn't do it much good since it is frail by Uber standards. If you give it a macho brace/iron ball, it could trick room, but I dunno if it could survive the turn.
6. Mew - A defensive Mew could survive the trick room, and it could possibly nasty plot/swords dance and baton pass out to a sweeper.

I was really disappointed to see the Latis and Lugia didn't get Trick Room, but oh well. Anyway, the list of ubers a trick room team screws over is pretty good. Rayquaza makes itself slower with every dance, Choice Scarf Kyogre just hurts itself, enemy Palkia will regret the Hasty Nature, and so on. It will also give slower ubers a chance to shine, such as Groudon, Kyogre (At least choice scarfless ones), Giratina, and Dialga. Other ubers could also take advantage of iron orbs/macho braces, but this isn't the case if you care about your item, such as the Latis, obviously.

The main problem with it is surviving the set up would be rather difficult. However, since you no longer care about speed at all, you can easily pour EVs usually reserved for speed into your defenses. The set up could still hurt a lot, however.

I have no real experience in Ubers, this is all an idea on paper, so feel free to rip apart this idea. Sorry for the n00bishly long post as well :P.

It seems like it'd be difficult to set up, but you could really tear teams apart if you loaded your team with base 90's. Imagine the terror that is Scarf Kyogre...but with Specs instead of Scarf.

>_>

I once battled a SpecsKyogre under Trick Room, it detroyed me.

The best thing to use Trick Room is Dialga due to its somewhat low speed. Plus it can take 1 or 2 hits easily thanks to its godly typing.

Arceus will perish under Trick Room, don't even consider it as an option, he likes being speedy.

aw come on, Arceus could be defensive too, i mean his Defenses are equal to his Attacks and Speed... and they're all fuckin massive numbers

I've actually battled teams with non-ubers that use Trick Room, and they gave me more trouble than most actual uber teams did.

I have to agree, due to even the slow ubers being relatively fast, many non-ubers actually perform better in a trick room team.

While its easy to see Groudon, Kyogre, Dialga doing well with TR in play, things like Rampardos (whose Head Smash well overpowers Groudon EQ) and Machamp's ability to 100% confuse and eat Dialga for breakfast couldn't go astray either. As well as normal TR staples like Eruption Camerupt, not to mention min speed Kyogre could use a Specs Water Spout. Not to mention a personal favourite of mine, Marowak.

I've only tried that once though, and outrunning a Dialga for a KO with Marowak EQ is very satisfying.

Consider Iron Orb + Fling on a physical Pokemon with average-decent Speed. Iron Orb will let you be significantly slower under Trick Room (making you go sooner!), but when it runs out, you can still use Fling to kill or severely dent that Lugia that's blocking you and regain your Speed to still potentially sweep.
