trick room

I've just recently started playing Shoddy and I have always wanted to try a TRICK ROOM team! When I was deciding my opener, I wanted something just like my Standard team's opener. A choice scarf hypnosis Gengar. The obvious choice was Hypno because it also has 2 covers of the most popular openers which are Gengar, Breloom, and Gyarados. Originally it had Switcheroo and after about 3 games I realized Thunderpunch would be so much better.

After I made the switch to this exact team, I've gone 21-4 with it. I think it's very flexible and if played right it, it can do some serious damage.

Hypno (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Insomnia
EVs: 6 HP/252 SAtk/252 SDef
Quiet nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Hypnosis
- Trick Room
- Psychic
- Grass Knot
Probably coolest opener of all time. Great late game pokemon.

EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/6 Def
Brave nature (+Atk, -Spd)

Incredible Trick Room sweeper, probably the best. Pretty much nasty as hell. Muscle Band > Choice anyday.

Ampharos (M) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Static
EVs: 252 HP/6 Def/252 SAtk
Quiet nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Focus Blast
- Power Gem
- Signal Beam

I honestly don't remember who I got this idea from, but Amphy is a great trick room special sweeper.

Gallade (M) @ Choice Band [or...]
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Ice Punch
- Psycho Cut
- Stone Edge
My non trick room sweeper. He comes in between Trick Rooms or saved for late game.I am definitely considering dropping Choice Band for something else. I've noticed end game when all I have left is this guy, I will throw up Psycho Cut, kill their weezing, and then comes in Umbreon (which I havent seen all game) and I lose. Any ideas?

Hypno's Tunderpunch on Gyarados after Intimidate= 124-128 Damage Hp

Thats a whole 38% at best! Then you have to add in Leftovers recovory....basically your lead eats it. You would need to give Hypno 244 Attack Evs to do 50% on average to Gyara after intimidate with Thunderpunch. So just drop thunderpunch.

Why do you have Hypno with -speed and a Scarf? How does that make sense? You could have achieved the same stats if you just shorten the EVs on speed and then just add that elsewhere and using another personality....cause that just doesn't make any sense what so ever.

I'd also rather put Marowak over Rampardos as it'll hit harder, is sturdier, and has a few more useful resistences.

As for the Gallade issue, you could always try Life Orb on it. Hits slightly weaker but at least you get to switch around, and as a late game, last Poke kind of sweeper, you won't be worried about the 10% much.
