I've recently become re-involved in competetive pokemon, and I decided to create a Trick Room team, something in which I have never done before. So far, it has worked out very well for me, but there is obviously much room for improvement. I begin with a powerful lead, Victini, who is extremely underestimated.
Since adding Slowking and Conkeldurr, this team is undefeated! They truly complete the team. Now I'm looking for merely small tweaks, not team-changing changes.

494.png

" V "
Victini (Brave) @Life Orb
252 HP/252 Atk/4 Def
~Trick Room
~V-Create
~Fusion Bolt
~Brick Break

When Victini enters the battle as a lead, the opponent doesn't know what to expect. They see a cute little rat thing, and thats all. They're even more confused when the first move he uses, is Trick Room. He is now faster then his opponent, who decided to set-up first turn. He then procedes to use V-Create, a 180 base damage fire type, that although lowering Victini's stats, OHKOs the enemy basically every time. Until the first Trick Room ends, nothing can hit Victini. He can usually take out the first 2-3 enemies, as long as he's faster. If he cant get a Trick Room up though, he usually faints after the first kill.

199.png

" Le Roi "
Slowking (Quiet) @Life Orb
252 HP/4 Def /252 SpA
- Trick Room
- Surf
- Slack Off/Nasty Plot
- Ice Beam

Originally, this spot was held by Bronzong, who was decent. Now, he is replaced by Slowking. Slowking has proven himself to be a great Special Attacker who has the ability to setup Trick Room himself. Previously, the team had no water type moves, and the only Ice type move was Bronzong's HP Ice, which was not very powerful and couldnt deal with dragons well. Now, Slowking can take out dragons with ease and cover against any fire types as well. Not sure about whether or not Slack Off is useful on a Trick Room team, so I might trade it for Nasty Plot eventually.

579.png

" The HAMMER "
Reuniclus (Modest) @Life Orb
192 HP/64 Def/252 SpA
~Trick Room
~Psychic
~Focus Blast
~Shadow Ball

Reuniclus is seriously a Special powerhouse. With a 20 base speed, Trick Room is a dream come true for him. With the combination of having both Focus Blast and Psychic, he can take out a huge range of enemies. He doesnt need much changing as he continuously provides excellent coverage and power to the team.

635.png

" Furieaux "
Hydreigon (Modest) @Choice Scarf
4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
~Draco Meteor
~Focus Blast
~U-turn
~Fire Blast

Hydregion was originally a specially defensive Heatran on this team, and then a special attacking Heatran. He was very unsuccessful so I was recommended a revenge killer and Hydregion is perfect for the role. Because of his four type-covering Special Attacks, 252 Speed EVs, and A Choice Scarf, whenever Trick Room is down, he can come out and clear a path to start the Trick Room back up. Draco Meteor is for any pokemon with low Spec. Def., as it is his 140 base damage STAB. U-turn if there is an unexpected switch, Focus Blast for the random Blissey and Fire Blast to take out any miscellaneous Pokemon.

356.png

" CirageNoir "
Dusclops (Sassy) @Eviolite
252 HP/104 Def/152 SpD
~Trick Room
~Will-O-Wisp/Toxic
~Seismic Toss
~Pain Split

Dusclops is a great addition to this team as well. With Eviolite, he is a defensive tank and can usually burn and inflict damage on any enemy that he faces. I havent tried using Toxic and have been running 2 pokemon with Will-O-Wisp, but I might consider changing it. Since Dusclops uses Trick Room he is good to switch in to take blows on other pokemon and set up another Trick Room. He uses Pain Split to stay alive.

562.png

" dStruct "
Conkeldurr (Adamant) @Flame Orb
252 HP/252 Atk/8 SpD
-Mach Punch
-Drain Punch
-Payback
-Facade

Conkeldurr is an AMAZING addition to this Trick Room team. If he can switch in while Trick Room is up and get burned, he can just sweep the day away. Mach Punch for when the Trick Room ends. Facade does an amazing 140 base damage when he is burned. Payback for coverage against ghosts. Conkeldurr is perfect for this team and after testing him I realize this. Originally Escavalier.

Overall, this team has been very good, but faces some threats, including fighting types, Scrafty especially, but others as well. Also Taunt really fucks with it. I'll be thankful for any recommendations and they will be considered. Thanks!

TBH your team has plenty of options against fighting types already, so I really can't see how they are causing you trouble.

Anyway you need a Scarfer to revenge kills threats when one of your sweepers dies (aka a Revenge Killer). You can't ensure that trick room will always be up, so a Scarfer is basically your backup plan. For a scarfer, I'm going to suggest Hydreigon. Hydreigon has the power to smash stuff even as a Scarfer, his U-Turn will make it much easier for you to bring in your Trick Room sweepers, and he isn't manhandled by Ttar (unlike Latios).

As of now your team lacks a user of SR! SR will make it much easier to score KO's and makes sure you aren't steam rolled by Volcarona. TBH Heatran doesn't fit on this team because it seems you want Victini to be your main Sweeper. Here is what I suggest, drop Brongzong into his standard support set with TR. Proceed to change Escavilier for Marokwak. With Thick Club, Marowak recieves the power of a Choice Band but with the ability to change moves. His non-recoil double edge smashes stuff that is immune to Earthquake. Overall, you will find him a much more versatile sweeper than Escavilier.

Support Brongzong>OTR Brongzong
Scarf Hydreigon>Heatran
Marowak>Escalvilier

Here are the sets and good luck:
Mr. Bell-Air (Bronzong) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Gyro Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Stealth Rock
- Trick Room

Marowak (M) @ Thick Club
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Double-Edge
- Fire Punch
- Stone Edge

Hydreigon (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Focus Blast
- U-turn
- Fire Blast
I did a TR team a while ago so you can get some ideas there (don't post there): http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3456773

ThePillsburyDoughBoy: Thanks for the good advice! I'm definetly going to change Heatran to Hydreigon now. I'm also going to change Bronzong as well, but I'm not quite sure about Marowak. I'll test him out, I've never really used him though. I'll let you know what I think of it.

EDIT: Changes have been made, Hydregion replaces Heatran as a revenge killer, and Bronzong is now Specially defensive.

RMt from school! I'll neat this RMT at home
Your Trick Room doesn't have any true sweepers. Escavalier is strong than Scizor but it doesn't have the good movepool as Scizor. I would suggest a Fighting type.
• your team doesn't have a pokemon that can handle rain teams effectively, I would suggest either Slowbro. It will serve as your physical wall in place of Dudclops, b/c he easily taunted and you will be forced to switch out.
• I love your Victini keep it as your sun counter.
• As for Sandstorm team you don't have a pokemon that can succesfully KO Tyranitar. He KO Reuniclus and Victini with crunch. And threaten Esacviler and Bronzong with Flamethrower. Maybe a Scarfty or Gallade can fix this problem.
• In other words DROP ESCAVALIER. He is the weakest link.

Hmm I'll take all of that into account. I was actually thinking about putting Conkeldurr on the team somehow as he is slow and a great Physical attacker.. he could be in place of Escavalier. Also Slowbro or Slowking are viable over Dusclops, I realized that I need some type of stopping power against fire types, so that could work. I'd need to work on the movepools of these two additions.

Added Conkeldurr to the actual team, havent tried him yet.. Just want to know what is everyones opinion on Slowking? Should I put him in over Bronzong who never seems to do much except for HP Ice, or should I put him in over Dusclops, whose amazing at taking any hit? A Hydro Pump from a 252 Atk Swampert only does 20% damage on him, but he also never seems to accomplish anything but inflict a little damage with Seismic Toss and re-setup Trick Room. Also, what Moveset and EVs for Slowking?

Ok, some minor things first:

First, I would recommend taking out the current battle log of your Victini 6-0ing the opponent's team. Anyone that uses Drak Pulse on Gengar and Sky Attack on Crobat just isn't that good to begin with, and the battle log doesn't necessarily show off your skills.

Also, take out the yellow words, as they are 'hard on the eyes', and hard to read in general. Change them to a darker color like blue.

Now, for the team itself:

I'll give a more detailed rate later, but I'll point out a few things:

This team has no entry hazard support and no way of removing the hazards as well. You may want to think about having a Pokemon to set up hazards, like Stealth rock, to score some KOs (as someone else said). I would suggest putting Bronzong in over Dusclops. I know that Dusclops is a good defensive wall, but Bronzong has access to Stealth Rock, Trick Room, a better typing than Dusclops, and better overall offenses.

Your team is weak to Ghost / Dark moves currently, and I think that you should change that around. Your team doesn't necessarily need 4 users of Trick Room.

Again, i'll comment more on this later.

The battle log isn't there to demonstrate my skill, haha.. Its more there just to show how effective Vicinti can be at times, and its kinda funny how fast he can sweep the enemy team, thats not nearly the only time that thats happened.

I guess I could take out the yellow words, but I'll miss them :'(

Im not so sure about using Bronzong over Dusclops.. Dusclops has proven pretty effective at times, but I guess Bronzong could work.. I'd prefer, If I took out Dusclops, to replace it with something thats NOT psychic type so any recommendations?

Hey Cruhx,

I received the request. Now, your team is extremely solid. I cannot see any major weaknesses, it has been made effectively. Since you've already covered most things, I can see Taunt users to be a problem. Specifically, fast users such as Aerodactyl and Froslass. These types of offensive teams can pressure you enough not to use TR. However, due to your multiple TR users, you cover that. Dusclops is very solid, I would not advise replacing it. I cannot really say anything else, great team.

EDIT: Don't run Atk EVs on Dusclops, run them in Def.

Thanks! And yeah I already put the Attack EVs in Dusclops, just didn't edit the RMT yet, I will now. Also, taunt is a problem for my team. The biggest problems I've seen for this team are Rotom-W as well as Jellicent. Stall teams have been annoying as hell as well, specifically Chansey and SubRoostDnite

Who goes Dark Pulse on Gengar? o_o Also, your yellow text is making my eyeballs bleed.

Get Nasty Plot on Slowking if you're gonna play him like a sweeper (he seems awkward with that moveset); I'd say keep the Will-O-Wisp on Dusclops. Your Conkeldurr has a 512 EV pool as well. If the Modest is working out for you on Hydreigon then nvm, but you might wanna change it to Timid; I always find him too slow for comfort (honestly I don't like the pokemon in general, but it's w/e). No Spikes/SR could be a problem especially with U-Turns abound. Consider a Ferrothorn if you wanna swap out one of your pokes: he can set up hazards, stalls, and would work well against Rain.

Can't think of anything else atm.

Ok, sorry that it took me a while to get back to you, but here are some more suggestions and thoughts for you:

First, TAKE OUT THE YELLOW WORDS, as they are hard to read.

Also, I would again switch out Dusclops for Bronzong. While Dusclops has better defenses than Bronzong, Bronzong can set up Stealth Rock and Trick Room, while being a decent offensive presence as well. Bronzong also has some good resistences; in particualar, it resists Dragon moves, which none of your team members currently do.

Finally, your sweepers (or attackers) consist of Victini, Reuniclus, Slowking, Hydreigon, and Conkeldurr. Of those five Pokemon, Reuniclus, Hydreigon, and Conkeldurr have high offensive stats, and Victini has the powerful V-Create. Slowking, however, only has base 100 SpA, and while its moves have good coverage, its moves simply aren't packing the punch that your other team members provide. I might suggest replacing Slowking with this:

Druddigon w/ Life Orb
Brave nature
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Atk, 4 Def
Outrage
Superpower / Earthquake
Sucker Punch
Dragon Claw / Hone Claws

This is a version of Smogon's 'Physical Attacker' set. Druddigon is an ideal TR sweeper. It has stabbed Outrages, and coverage moves to hit the Steel Pokemon hard. It also has a base 120 attack, and a good TR 48 base speed. Also, Druddigon has Sucker Punch, so it doesn't become dead weight when TR wears off. Druddigon may not have the most powerful attack stat, but it has an almost-unresisted Stab.
