Hey guys Eango here with my first rmt thread :]
After a break from ou, I came back getting wrecked by the hyper offensive "6 offensive threats" teams. Lots of my problem was having no offensive presence, and just bad luck/misplays (losing a core pokemon due to a crit or an unanticipated trick can literally be the game!). Anyways this team attempts to prevent setup sweepers, whilst stilling having a way of revenge killing, and having a deadly sweeper in mega tyranitar. Here it is :)
THE TEAM
Mr. Math (Tyranitar) @Tyranitarite
ability: sandstream
EVs: 4 HP / 252 atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
Dragon Dance
Earthquake
Crunch
Stone Edge
I LOVE MEGA TYRANITAR! A tyranitar sweep is often the best win condition in my matches with this team. Tyranitar can come in on common pokemons such as Heatran, Charizard Y, Clefable, talonflame, dragonite, latias/latios, and much more. Though the pokemons Tyranitar can set up on of course have to be scouted out for any potential hindering moves (such as t-wave or toxic). Due to such troublesome moves walls tend to have, I usually find it smart to come in on a offensive pokemon after a wish pass. Given that only fighting moves can really one shot this beast, and 1 dragon dance is really all that's needed to put the game away, its surprisingly easy to sweep with mega ttar late game. And even if Tyranitar cannot set up versus a particular team, he still always has an impact on the game.

Supplementary Teammate (Forretress) leftovers
ability: sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 atk
IVs: 0 Spd
Relaxed Nature
Rapid Spin
Stealth Rock
Spikes
Gyro Ball
Forretress does work.
I prefer Forretress over something such as Skarmory due to rapid spin > defog. I want to keep my hazards up at all costs to wear down the multiple offensive threats weak to stealth rock. Though this set would be considered setup bait, Quagsire handles pretty much every physical sweeper I have faced. Also many players underestimate the damage that gyro ball can do to their setup sweepers. It 3 shots mega pinsir (2 shots after rocks), and 4 shots most other physical offensive threats. Not amazing, but every little bit of damage helps :]
My Cleric and "Special Wall." Was actually considering giving her the ability unaware but decided that magic guard was the superior ability as it allows Clefable to switch into the ever present rotom wash all day. Wish Protect can stall out Charizard Y, and by that extension probably most other special attackers. Thunder wave forces the opponent to think twice about setting up on this, and moonblast does decent damage with an awesome secondary affect. I have considered Sylveon over clefable, as hyper voice is so much damage, but I prefer having thunder wave (over heal bell) to just make Tyranitar more comfortable setting up :)
FREE HUGS! (Quagsire) leftovers
ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Sp. Atk
Bold Nature
scald
recover
Protect
Toxic
Quagsire is awesome this gen! I've literally faced few physical pokemons that can handle him. Victims include Charizard X, Pinsir, other mega ttars, Garchomp, and even Talonflame (this match depends on the damage rolls, admittedly). Really this guy just comes in on any of those threats, protects, recovers, toxics, rinse and repeat. I tried running curse over protect, but Quagsires stats are literally JUST ENOUGH to come in, and I find that protect is often needed to regain health (especially if a crit occurs). Burn and toxic is the only enemy of Quag, and I have clefable, forretress, and mew to handle either of those. Quagsire is the man!
Mew is still an excellent pokemon in OU, especially as a scarfer. Though the quag/clefable/forretress core is pretty strong, pokemons will still have to be sacraficed as in every competitive battle. Mew makes a great revenge killer for many of the pokemons this team struggles to check such as Mega Venasaur (Psyshock 2 KO's every set I know of), Ferrothorn (who is always a troll), and even other quagsires (No one expects giga drain). I did have staraptor before as my scarfer, but found that brave bird did frustrating recoil, and that most people knew it was scarfed. Mew I find better due to longetivity (the more switches forced, the better) and lots of players seem to not expect the scarf. Also it kills the annoying AV conkeldurr.

HEAT TRAIN (Heatran) @Choice Scarf
ability: flash fire
EVs: 96 HP / 176 SP. Atk / 236 Spd
Modest Nature
Flash Cannon
Dragon Pulse
Overheat
Earthpower
I've actually hadn't seen scarfed Heatran much this generation. Don't know why, because it is really good! Heatran is probably the best counter to the ever present mega charizard y (Though scouting for earthquake is a good idea). Nothing more satisfying to come in on flash fire, and the sun already set up, and your opponent in chat with the same "I hate heatran line" :P. I chose to run overheat as it still does great damage to pokemons that resist it (31.2 - 36.8% on a defensive Rotom Wash is quite respectable damage). Flash Cannon makes tyranitar think twice about coming in, and threatens fairies out, often allowing for a predictions to be made without losing much. Lastly, Dragon Pulse is fantastic if I can predict a incoming garchomp or dragonite.
THE THREATS (AND HOW I TRY TO BEAT THEM)
Mega Venusaur
This thing is so annoying. Heatran can only do 51.6 - 61.5% to the bulky set (which seems most common). Mew is usually the best bet, as it can 2 KO it. Clefable can also t-wave it on the switch in (para hacks are always appreciated). Really the best way for my team to deal with it is to force it to switch by threatening it with mew. Though it will still leech seed, Its not like I'm going to keep mew, a scarfer, in that long. Also I think synchronize on mew would make Venusaur go to sleep if it uses sleep powder. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Ferrothorn
Not as troublesome as mega venasaur as heatran and mew can force it out, but if my opponent keeps it healthy, I can't really come in with tyranitar and set up. That said, usually if the match goes on for a while, my team will have the advantage anyways assuming no misplays were made by me.
Mega Charizard
Okay I got both charizard x and y absolutely countered, but mispredicting which one it is can be disastrous! Luckily two of my pokemons have protect, and heatran is a pretty safe bet usually.
Aegislash
This thing is so versatile! Quagsire handles any swords dance variant, and heatran can handle any special variants. Substitute Aegislash is becoming a thing, and only good play can beat that set.
Replays of my laddering experience with "final" team (I get) (10-2 for this sitting)
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-129951471 - Quagsire produces rage quit
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-129953318 - Pretty good game. Going for fireblast with mew was dumb, but still did the job :)
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-129959908 - lost this one, due to kings rock mamoswine.... Still a good game and funny chat :P (though embarrassing as my opponent was not good)
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-129968521 - REVENGE ON THE MATCH ABOVE. Really shows how random stuff can really throw you off in this game.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-129971223 -VERY GOOD GAME. I got hacked hard, but the fact that I still won made this game so cloooose.
(I went 5-1 but showdown wouldn't let me upload replays. Did have a close game versus someone super high in the ladder (no idea why i got matched with him!). I lost :[)
http://play.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-ou-129985643 - Ttar sweep versus baton pass chain team. Thought i lost when heracross out sped my mew!
(Showdown had the ladder updating error, but I'm ashuming I'm at 1600ish by then since I went 6-1 at 1585)
I really like this particular team because unlike other stallish teams i built, it has a lot less consequences from misplays. Losing a core pokemon on this team never equals a loss, as I still have offensive pokemons to turn the tides of battle.
Anyways, any recommendations are welcomed, as I'm by no means a master team builder. I'm out, and thanks for viewing my team!
