ORAS OU Twin Dragons peaked 1600+

Hello everyone welcome to coming to my rate my team. This team is a bulky offense team that is built around dragalage and mega gyarados. It uses a basic dragon+fairy+steel core along with a fire+water+grass core so its fairly simple. When building this team i wanted to make a balanced bulky offensive team and this team is just that. The way the team works is simple and ill go into that in a bit. Should note that this has peaked 1600+ but due to testing other teams i kinda went down on the ladder a bit.

Alright now onto the team!

Purple Dank (Dragalge) (F) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Adaptability
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 120 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 132 Spe
Modest Nature
- Sludge Wave
- Draco Meteor
- Scald
- Focus Blast

What can i say about this monster? Its got great typing, high sp.def and a great move pool...oh and theres adaptability of course! This is dragalges most redeeming feature as without it.. its pretty bad. I wanted to use this monster due to how this things solid synergy with the second mon of the core mega gyarados. The set is simple click a move and hit extremely hard. This makes dragalage a incredible wall breaker capable of punching serious holes in your oppoenents team. The set makes use of the coverage that drag has. Draco nukes everything bar faries, chansey, heatran and everything else if its not very bulky on the sp.def side gets 2ohkod at most. For example this thing does 70% to a excadrill with draco. Thats very strong for a resisted hit. Sludge wave provides a solid poison stab that hits faries and anything else decently hard. Sludge bomb can be used if you like the poison more the a extra 5 power but the difference believe it or not is big. Scald serves as a great move that can be spammed and also allows dragalage to beat things such as mega diancie (which can fight drag head on) and due to drags poor physical bulk landing a burn on a physical attacker really helps. Focus blast is used to beat things such as heatran and ferro forn. Hp fire can be used but i dont recomend it as focus blast and hp fire do the EXACT same amount of damage to ferro plus you can hit tran. It also hits a ton of other mons but the miss chance can hurt bad.

Notes:
dragalage is very slow so be careful when using it. I recommend bringing it out on a resisted hit or a burned mon as otherwise it can be hard to get this thing in. Also note that poor physical defense.

Snake? SNAKE! (Gyarados-Mega) (F) @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Mold Breaker
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Dragon Dance
- Crunch
- Substitute

The mon that goes with drag. Mega gyara got a nice buff thanks to oras and can now make use of crunch. This means that mons such as bro no longer wall gyra. I wanted this thing to go with drag as it has nice synergy with it. Besides dark type moves are very spam able making crunch really nice to have. Anyways Gyara is a mon that gets to abuse its origonal typing before it megas. This is becuase it loses its flying type before it megas. This allows you to skillfully chose when to mega and thats huge as drag has that ground weakness. The spread provides bulk as well as outspeeding certain mons that i forget. The set is simple. Waterfall is great stab and has that nice chance to flinch, Dragon dance is vital to boost that speed up as well as attack so you can sweep. Crunch as said above makes for great coverage and substitute allows gyra to set up more easily which can be the difference between sweeping and fainting. Also Sub allows you to beat things such as mew or bro who might try and cripple you. Sub also works vs ferro as he cant para you, leech seed you. (takes 2-3 gyros to break sub)

Notes: make sure you dont mega super early. Only mega when all fairies are taken care of by dragalage.

Hey! (Celebi) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 236 Def / 20 Spe
Bold Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Giga Drain
- Baton Pass
- Thunder Wave

Celebi serves as the teams t-wave support as well as bulky grass type used to soak up ground type moves, electric type moves and water type moves. I decided to use a nasty plot+bp set as i have quite a few special attacks on the team that can use the boosts. mostly drag and heatran. Spread makes celebi a great switch in to some physical attacks. On to why i wanted celebi. simply put i had a gyara and bi makes for a great switch in for electric type moves. Weather i mega or not early with gyra i dont want to take that electric type move. Natural cure is great for status absorbing as well. Move wise nasty plot help when it comes to boosting as getting drag to +2 is very scary. Draco decimates things at +2 and it lets me get off 2 of em. I didnt want taunt to screw me over so i put giga drain as i lacked recovery, wanted to abuse nasty plot if i didnt have a safe switch and wanted stab. Bp is used to pass the boost as well as have some momentum which is always nice. T-wave is sorta vital as this team is VERY slow and things like drag and gyara can use the paras to help aid their sweep or get an attack off.

Notes: Substitute can be used instead of nasty plot but you get worn down fast without recover which takes up t-waves slot.

Heatran_Pok%25C3%25A9mon_Ranger_3.png

Hot topic (Heatran) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 196 SpD / 60 Spe
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Stealth Rock
- Earth Power
- Taunt

Heatran serves as the final member of the fire/water/grass core as provides rocks and a switching into several mons that scare my team. Those things include fairies and steels. These mons give my team pure hell as its hard to touch other ferrothorn. Heatran also serves as the team special defensive wall. The spread allows heatran to outspeed tran with some investment in speed and 2ohko back with earth power. This makes dealing with tran easy. Lava plume is a great stab move with a 30% burn chance which is nice as azu is a decent threat to the team. Stealth rock is really nice to have as chip damage can prove to be invaluable to the team. Earth power is mostly for hitting other heatran and taunt allows me to beat other trans 1v1.

notes: only use e-power on the switches. Seriously you dont wanna take a e-power yourself

Clefuckle (Clefable) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Flamethrower

Clefable...the clef is here! Clefable serves as the final member of the dragon+fairy+steel core as well as provides a nice alternative to the latis which can be a pain for the team. Clef also is capable of setting up on the opposing mons and serves as a nice sweeper asuming all of its problems (ie heatran are gone). Flamethrower allows me to beat ferrothorn and other mons that dont like fire type moves. Not much i can really say. Bold is nice as psyshock from the latis does quite a bit if you dont run a lot of defense. Softboiled serves as nice recovery and moonblast hits hard no matter what plus it hits dragons so also nice as drag is not capable of beating it 1v1.

landorus-therian.jpg

Scar Face (Landorus-Therian) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge

Finnaly we got landorus t. Lando serves as a pivot as well as ground and electric immunity for the team and thanks to its power is capable of dealing massive damage. Scarf is by far landos best set and it really puts in work for the team. Having such a great typing really helps my team as he provides more switch ins for the team. that pesky ice and water weakness mean nothing as the team has several mons to deal with them. (watch out for mammoswine however) u-turn allows me to get a switch as well as scout leads, earthquake it a strong stab move to have, knock off does wonders vs the latis and eviolite users and stone miss..i mean edge takes care of birds.

Anyways that just about sums the team up. should note that the team is very weak to mamoswine so be careful when you see one. ill leave the importable bellow.

I'd be tempted to run Taunt over Substitute on Gyarados - it still shuts down Ferro/Mew (after DD)/Slowbro etc, but with the added bonus of not shredding your HP - if regular Gyara comes in on rocks, one Sub puts you at 50% off the bat. You've clearly enjoyed some success with this team so it's your call, just throwing my two cents in! Taunt prevents you being Roared out, too.

Love the use of Dragalge too, one of my favourites and vastly underrated.

oh thanks. yeah i have to consider that. sometimes i do feel sub is better as getting a free sub on somthing is always good. but the loss of helps a issue. Not to mention no deffoger can kill somtimes

You seem to suffer from set up sweepers in general.... So I would recommend changing clefables Ability to unaware. DD zard X rips your team to shreds.

yea that's a huge issue. I sometimes feel like its more defensive then offensive and it suffers. will have to test this out on a alt.
