The Guardian

One of Silver's first memories is that of a shadowy figure of white and black, ever-present and ever-watchful over the boy's shoulder. Silver can't recall a time when he wasn't being observed by this mysterious silhouette, yet he never felt threatened by it. As soon as he was old enough to set out on his journey with Pokémon, Silver knew what he was searching for: this flash of white from his childhood. Silver has never known for sure whether Soul is the Pokémon that watched over him as a child, and Soul has always stayed silent when his trainer asks him about it. Nonetheless, and despite his steely demeanor, more than his first Pokémon, Soul is Silver's guardian and closest friend.

Denied YAS's combination due to water pulse being a ring of water vs hyper beam's literal beam attack. Given how both attacks lack similiar delivery methods, decided against the combo. Also, I think I got the switch order correct with Baton Pass, but if the Baton Pass user doesn't order first next turn, let me know and I'll fix it.

The exotic looking Jagger makes the first move, launching itself towards Soul before taking the Absol into a throwing hold, slamming it into the ground with an expertly delivered Storm Throw. Soul responds to Jagger's aggression by attempting to bury him in a Rock Tomb, which fails to entomb Absol, but does impair its movement enough to reduce its Speed one stage! Now faster, Soul steals Jagger's thunder by pulling of an Earthquake attack before Jagger is able to pull his off. Finally, Soul decides to concede this matchup, intending to pass the role of beating Jagger to Ariadne, but not before getting Jagger catches him in another throwing hold, sending him to eat dirt.

Ouch. YAS appears to have gotten the extremely short end of the matchup stick, as Smokomodo gives Absol a beatdown that puts it at OHKO range. While Slowking should be able to beat Smokomodo, has Caribolt already won the match?​

Jagger versus Ariadne- a lopsided matchup by any standards. Luckily for Jagger, he is not just a mere fire lizard, but a fire chameleon, allowing him to Camouflage into the boring surroundings, neutering Ariadne's type advantage. Ariadne is an entirely fresh and healthy Pokemon, however, and won't be stopped with just a single trick as she traps Jagger in a Whirpool. From within the vortex, Jagger gives off a Roar that would make Godzilla proud, causing Ariadne's flight response to kick in. She toughs it out anyways, summoning a wave that crashes into the still swirling Jagger. Normally for a Smokomodo, Jagger's predicament would be a death sentence, but his Normal typing allows him to treat this as another day at the beach, soaking up rays as he continues to spin around in Ariadne's Whirlpool. Ariadne, on the other hand, is still tense and nervous from Jagger's previous Roar and is only able to get a Brine attack off before retreating back to her trainer.

P2X7 gets some more mileage out of Smokomodo via some tricks, forcing Absol back into play against the Pokemon that savaged it so badly the first round. The situation still looks dire for YAS, but at least they were able to push damage on Smokomodo and burn up quite a bit of its energy.​

Soul is forced back into play as Ariadne flees the field, leaving it to deal with a rampant Jagger. Soul puts its soul (ha!) into a lignting quick, superpowered Feint, only to go down seconds later as Jagger counters with an equally quick counter punch!

YAS gets some final damage in as Absol goes down, leaving Slowbro to clean up the Smokomodo before moving onto bigger fish to fry (or be fried by).​

Ariadne makes a reappaerance on the battlefield, squaring off against Jagger once more. Bloodied and bruised, Jagger wills his tired body to move nonetheless, delievering a series of clubbed strikes to Ariadne. Ariadne returns the favor by channeling strange energies into a Psyshock strike that knocks Jagger out!

Slowking wipes the Smokomodo, to no one's surprise. Now the score is 1-1, but heavily, heavily in P2X7's favor, as an entirely fresh Caribolt stands ready to take an already present HP lead and run away with it.​

Morrison enters the battlefield, immediately exerting its dominance over Ariadne by slamming into the Slowking with a Galvanized Body Slam. Ariadne attempts to repel the electric deer with a bright beam of freezing energy, but Morrison simply powers through the hit, slamming its impressive rack of antlers into Ariadne. Switching tactics, Ariadne unsuccessfully attempts to repel Morrison with a stream of fire, but Morrison tanks this as well, delivering a Power Whip in return that knocks Ariadne out!

Far and away outmatched, Slowking is swept away by Caribolt's SE STAB assault, leaving P2X7 the winner! Congrats to P2X7 for winning, and YAS for toughing out a poor matchup.​
