[Overview]

Tynamo is rarely seen in Little Cup, and for good reason; it learns only four moves, three of which are Electric-type. It may have no weaknesses thanks to Levitate, but low defenses prevent Tynamo from taking advantage of this. Access to Charge Beam means that Tynamo can do a little damage, but there is almost always a better option to consider before Tynamo when building a team.

[SET]
name: Attacker
move 1: Charge Beam
move 2: Spark
move 3: Tackle
move 4: Thunder Wave
item: Eviolite
nature: Quiet
evs: 236 Atk / 36 Def / 236 SpA

[SET COMMENTS]

This set is Tynamo's entire movepool, so this is literally all Tynamo can do. The best plan of attack is usually to use Charge Beam as much as possible, hopefully dealing more damage as time goes on. Spark hits specially defensive Pokemon such as Munchlax, and is slightly stronger and more accurate than Charge Beam initially. While Tackle would rarely see use, it is Tynamo's only move that affects Ground-types. Thunder Wave is available for paralysis, which supports Tynamo's team.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Eviolite is preferred since it can give Tynamo more chances to use Charge Beam, but Life Orb is an option for more power. Ground-types, such as Hippopotas, wall this set to no end, as Tackle will barely do any damage to them. Staryu and Gastly are good teammates for Tynamo, as they check Ground-types handily. Ferroseed, Dratini, and Chinchou all deal with Tynamo easily, thanks to their resistance to Electric-type moves. Magnemite is a good teammate to handle Ferroseed and Ferroseed is useful to beat most Chinchou. Slowpoke is a decent check to Dratini. Golett also gets special mention as a counter, as it is immune to every move that Tynamo learns.

[Other Options]

Tynamo has no other options, as it only learns four moves. While not recommended, a different item or nature may be preferred depending on the rest of your team.

[Checks and Counters]

Ground-types and Chinchou are the best counters, as they only take damage from Tackle. Ferroseed resists both Electric- and Normal-type moves, so it works as well. Dratini also resists Electric, and can set up on Tynamo thanks to Shed Skin. Finally, Golett, despite being quite rare, isn't even touched by anything in Tynamo's movepool.

I have actually never seen a Golett but this is a Tynamo analysis so sure.

Diana, I think you can technically QC stamp yourself....Jibaku did it in Ubers and, I mean, what else needs approving when its move pool is its move set? XD

Edit: NOOOOOOO (reason to tell you to self check was so I could Unfish GP it yesterday when I had time lol)

@charmander: I feel like Tynamo will die before getting enough attacks in to be worth it if I use that.

@V0x:
Oh, and I could stamp but it doesn't feel right and I'd like the extra opinions on it.
Admittedly the extra opinions aren't needed here but it still feels wrong to stamp my own, especially since we have a lot of QC members.

Everything that could have been said has. Attempted to run on a TR team but epically failed, even with LO.

Spark hits specially defensive Pokemon such as Munchlax, while being slightly stronger and more accurate than Charge Beam is initially. { How does it handle both of them with only one Hidden Power? }
, while a Ferroseed is useful to beat most Chinchou. Golett also gets special mention as a counter, as it is immune to every move that Tynamo learns.

Tynamo has no other attacking options, as it only learns four moves. While not recommended, using a different item or nature may be preferred depending on the rest of your team.

[Checks and Counters]

Ground-types and Chinchou are the best counters, as they only take damage from Tackle. Chinchou is as good, as it absorbs Tynamo's Electric-type moves. Ferroseed resists both Electric- { the en dashes are bolded but it doesn't look like it } and Normal-type moves, so it works as well. Dratini also resists Electric, and can set up on Tynamo thanks to Shed Skin, meaning that even Thunder Wave doesn't bother it too much. Finally, Golett, despite being quite rare, isn't even touched by anything in Tynamo's movepool.
[/box]

Charmander, Magnemite learns Flash Cannon lol.

Will update otherwise.

Edit: Took a lot of it, a few didn't look right so I didn't change those parts. I still have two GP checks to figure all that out anyway.

Why does this piece of shit get an analysis, exactly? What person would go "you know what, my team needs a good, strong tackle that doesn't add any more weaknesses to my team" ? This thing is useless...

All LC-eligible Pokemon have to have an analysis. There's no lower tier for them to be banished to.

Just want to point out that without Gligar all Dratini run Fire Blast which kills Magnemite. Scarf variants can't OHKO it and LO variants get outsped and killed.

I thought that there was a section for pokemon unfit for an LC analysis? Do things this useless NEED an analysis?

@Charmander: Do they: I haven't seen one use Fire Blast or Aqua Tail lately, but I don't have a Magnemite. Any suggestions on a way to deal with Dratini then?

@blarajan: There used to be a section for that but we're so low on Pokemon left that it was locked.

Unfortunately, Dratini's typing and movepool allow it to either hit you with neutral STAB or super effectively. Physically defense Pokemon who resist Fire and aren't Dragon-type beat Dratini; Slowpoke, Wooper, and bulky Intimidate Growlithe are some examples I guess.

Yeah that's what I was worried about with Dratini... I'll mention Slowpoke, basically it just needs a check anyway. Thanks!

this is why i love you diana all your analyses are so short and easy c:

Well Zystral there isn't much to say about Tynamo! No need to use too many words!

Thanks!

probably isn't very good because the entire time was like "why....why...." even though I already know why....

Thanks, implemented all but one change that didn't look right at all (the last one, and even then I modified it a bit)
