A furry volcano. What's not to like?

Overview
########

As a volcanic Honey Badger, Typhlosion has always been a powerful lower-tier threat. Its no surprise as, with its great 109 Special Attack and 100 Speed, it becomes a powerhouse with a good speed tier. But its main selling point is that it is one of the few pokemon with access to Eruption. Eruption lets Typhlosion decimate foes which don't resist it provided its at high enough HP. A big reason to use it over the generally better Delphox is that it isn't weak to Pursuit and Knock Off. It isn't perfect though, as it suffers from the same issues as many fast, powerful attackers before it: it is frail. Also, its movepool is sparse, and Delphox is usually picked over it for its generally better stats, Psychic-type STAB and wider movepool. However, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't use it as it is a powerhouse if not prepared for.

[Pros]
-Fast and powerful
-Eruption
-Not weak to pursuit and Knock Off, unlike Delphox.

[Cons]
-Generally outclassed by Delphox
-Frail
-Fairly sparce movepool, making it predictable

Lol why I'd use Typhlosion instead of Delphox, Moltres or even Pyroar? Priority and hazards are everywhere in RU, meaning that you need a ton of support just to use Eruption, which will 90% of the time be inferior to Delphox's Fire Blast. Delphox is also faster and can somewhat deal with what walls it with Switcheroo, and can set up.

EDIT: ninja'd by Robert Alfons , but yeah Typhlosion sucks

I'd really be amazed if this makes it through QC. For all the reasons stated above, Typhlosion has no niche (okay yeah it has Eruption but who cares when you're terribly weak to hazards). This Pokemon is simply outclassed by every viable Fire-type and is not worth using at all. I don't think this deserves an analysis.

In addition, the Scarf set was barely viable in BW RU and is probably still not worth using anyways, and analyses shouldn't be in written form until they have received two QC checks.

Agreeing with the two above posters that Typhlosion is outclassed by Delphox, who has higher special attack, speed, and better movepool with things such as Psyshock, Calm Mind, Switcheroo, and Grass Knot. Eruption is a thing i guess but its somewhat inconsistent because of the fact that it needs to be at absolute full HP to work effectively, which is hard to achieve outside of the very early game due to entry hazards and the like.

On top of that Typhlosion was never open to be reserved in the first place, so you should've talked to QC before making this thread

QC Rejected 1/3

Just lock the thread. I've changed my mind anyway, and I stated that in the reservation thread.
