Choice Band Tyranitar is a brutally powerful wallbreaker capable of ripping through common defensive staples such as Clefable, Tapu Fini, and Celesteela. Its absurdly powerful Knock Off and Pursuit combined with its excellent special bulk also make it a premier Pursuit trapper capable of dominating common Psychic-types such as Choice Specs Latios and Slowking as well as physically frail foes like Iron Moth and Blissey. Earthquake targets Rock- and Steel-types such as opposing Tyranitar formes and Iron Treads. Aerial Ace is an alternative to hit Fighting-types, notably 2HKOing Buzzwole. Assurance is another option, with it becoming a near-unwallable force when paired with entry hazards and synergizing well with Knock Off removing Heavy-Duty Boots. Tyranitar best fits on offense teams looking for a wallbreaker and Pursuit trapper. It is especially effective at removing special walls such as Blissey, making specially attacking teammates such as Serperior, Choice Specs Latios, and Iron Moth great partners. Pivots, notably specially attacking ones such as Slowbro and the aforementioned Iron Moth, can force in special walls and safely bring in Tyranitar. Entry hazard setters such as Iron Treads and Skarmory enjoy Tyranitar's ability to break through most hazard removal options, and it greatly appreciates the chip damage they provide in return, especially if it's running Assurance. Tyranitar is dominated by Fighting-types such as Buzzwole and Iron Hands, making checks to them such as Clefable and Latios mandatory teammates. Sand Stream can notably support Sand Rush variants of Excadrill, and as physical wallbreakers, Tyranitar and Excadrill can weaken their shared physically defensive checks like Skarmory, Buzzwole, and Tangrowth. While Tyranitar matches up well against many special attackers, it falters against a good deal of them such as Alakazam and Thundurus-T due to its weaknesses, making specially defensive tanks such as Assault Vest Tangrowth useful partners.

Choice Band Tyranitar is a brutally powerful wallbreaker capable of ripping through common defensive staples such as Clefable, Tapu Fini, and Celesteela. Its absurdly powerful Knock Off and Pursuit combined with its excellent special bulk also make it a premier Pursuit trapper, capable of dominating common Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Aegislash, Choice Specs Latios, and Galarian Slowking as well as physically frail foes like Iron Moth and Blissey. Superpower targets opposing Dark- and Steel-types such as opposing Tyranitar formes and Iron Treads. ngl personally not sure if this still has a place post-ting lu, espec with the damage buff from cb, eq on the other hand can force subtox aegi out past shield and let you trade hands (w) into your favor. Aerial Ace is an alternative to hit Fighting-types, notably 2HKOing Buzzwole. Assurance is another option, with it becoming a near unwallable force when paired with entry hazards. Could also go into its synergy with Knock removing boots for it, especially since the burst in power is also cool for breaking stuff like hippo/skarm after the fact. Tyranitar best fits on offense teams looking for a wallbreaker and Pursuit trapper. It is especially effective at removing special walls such as Assault Vest Generally imo Galarian Slowking, making specially attacking teammates such as Serperior, Choice Specs Latios, and Iron Moth great partners. Pivots, notably specially attacking ones such as Galarian Slowking, Slowbro and the aforementioned Iron Moth, can force in special walls and safely bring in Tyranitar. Entry hazard setters such as Iron Treads and Skarmory enjoy Tyranitar's ability to break through most hazard removal options while it greatly appreciates the chip they provide, especially if its running Assurance. Tyranitar is dominated by Fighting-types such as Buzzwole and Iron Hands, making checks to them such as Clefable and Latios mandatory teammates. Sand Stream can notably support Sand Rush variants of Excadrill, and as physical wallbreakers they can weaken their shared physically defensive checks like Skarmory, Buzzwole, and Tangrowth. You could also add how tar can sometimes struggle to check special attackers like +spe aegi zam and thundy b/c of hazards or weaknesses to coverage, so other spdef tanks like steela and av tang can be cool mentions to have as backup in those MUs
