Why is there only Dragon Dance, Stone Edge, Earthquake, Taunt and/or Crunch on basically all movesets? (Keeping TyraniBoah out of this discussion.)




Tyranitar has awesome other moves such as Iron Head, Outrage, Rock Polish* to name a few...

Has anyone tried a Dragon Dance/Outrage Tyranitar?

As for outrage...

Tyranitar uses Outrage!
X faints!

Dragontamer switches in Hitmontop/Weavile/some sort of fighting attack
Tyranitar faints to 4x weakness and can't switch out.

Same problem as all the other outrage pokemon, except T-Tar doesn't get STAB. Not to mention, crunch is as strong as outrage due to STAB, and Stone edge is even stronger.

Some people do use Rock Polish if they have a Baton Passer giving it Swords Dances. Steel is the worst offensive attack type in the game so why use Iron Head over other moves that give better coverage? Outrage locks you in for at least two turns then gives you confusion not to mention it is only super effective against Dragon types. And you don't have stab.

You're looking at the wrong teams or battling the wrong people. A lot of people are using a very versatile set that makes use of the range of movepool in Fire Blast/Ice Beam/Stone Edge/Crunch @Life Orb.
