Tyranitar [qc 0/2]

[SET]
name: Specially Defensive
move 1: Rock Tomb
move 2: Foul Play
move 3: Stealth Rock / Thunder Wave
move 4: Rest
item: Leftovers
ability: Sand Stream
nature: Careful
evs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
This set allows Tyranitar to check many different highly dangerous pokemon such as calyrex-s and yveltal. Against yveltal, you can resist both of its stabs and the Heat wave, and hit it with a speed-lowering rock tomb to negate max airstream. Rock tomb also allows ttar to threaten out ho-oh. Thunder wave is to cripple pokemon that would otherwise switch in with impunity such as zacian-c and xerneas. It could also be potentially useful to cripple a offensive yveltal under dmax. Foul play is used to check caly-s, always ohkoing it from full even with a sash (because of sand). Finally, Rest is used for recovery to allow ttar to handle the pokemon it checks throughout a game.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Tyranitar should be used on balance teams that appreciate its ability to check many dangerous balance breakers such as special yveltal and nasty plot caly-s without leaf storm (which is becoming less and less common) and can help ease the pressure so pokemon like ho-oh can defog with more safety thanks to Tyranitar checking these dangerous threats that ho-oh is often used to pivot into. Tyranitar should be played aggressively from the beginning, hard switch it into the pokemon that it checks and using thunder wave to cripple the pokemon that switch into it. Rest should only be used when Tyranitar is severely weakened and needs to be able to somehow burn those turns on rest, preferably on defensive defoggers like yveltal and ho-oh. Something to note is that if Tyranitar is used alongside Tapu koko (not recommended), You should play very conservatively and try to get the most out of your ttar and try to rest it outside of terrain.
Other Options
=============

Some other options include Stealth rock instead of thunder wave. Stealth rock could be potentially grabbed on defensive yveltal and ho-oh and is especially effective because Tyranitar scares out those pokemon effortlessly with a combination of rock tomb and rest to offset burns and toxic. However, One must note that giving up thunder wave means that it cannot cripple zacian-c and other pokemon that switch into it as effectively.
Stone edge could also be used in place of rock tomb for a much stronger hit, However, it is not accurate and does not have the speed lowering effect that rock tomb has, which means that it could miss at crucial moments such as against offensive special yveltal. Rock slide also seems plausible, but trading 10 power for a speed drop is not really a good deal for Tyranitar since rock tomb is mainly used to chip and lower the speed of pokemon.

Checks and Counters
==================

Some pokemon that can counter tyranitar well are defensive groudon and necrozma-dusk mane as they both can switch into tyranitar without fear and can set up stealth rock in its face. However, necrozma-dusk mane should be careful not to fall to low into zacian-c's KO range.

**Groudon**: Describe why the Pokemon is a threat.
Groudon is a notable threat to tyranitar and its teammates, due to it being able to switch in on stealth rock from tyranitar and then being able to either KO tyranitar with precipice blades or set up in its face with swords dance, being able to sweep afterwards.

Hello! While I appreciate your enthusiasm, unfortunately, this analysis really isn't up to scratch. The writing is far too informal, and it's riddled with numerous grammatical mistakes that will make QC checking an incredible pain. Additionally, the checks and counters section is very lacking, not mentioning the numerous offensive Pokemon that can set up on Tyranitar or otherwise punish its passivity. I strongly recommend that you check the Smogon Grammar and Spelling Standards and ensure that your analysis meets these reasonably well before putting it back into QC.

QC rejected 1/2
(rejected means it's going back into WIP so you can fix it up)
the only things below the Strategy Comments header are supposed to be other options and checks and counters. You should move the paragraph that you put below it up so there are two paragraphs in the set comments. Don't worry, I messed this up too.
