This team does a lot of switching and tries to force the opponent to make a lot of switching. Early entry hazards are critical to this teams success.

Defensive Groudon is a staple on most Uber stall teams. Groudon has nice stats, nice typing and a very nice ability. I often choose to use Groudon as my lead. He lays down stealth rock for my team and can check many threats like Dialga, Tyranitar, Zekrom and Rayquaza. My team tries to lay down a lot of entry hazards, and late game dragon tail can be brutal. Once I have stealth rocks and a layer of spikes down all Groudon does is dragon tail. I choose fire punch over stone edge because the low accurracy of stone edge puts me off, and because my team can handle all of the situations where stone edge would be useful. Suprise fire punch Ferrothorn or Forretress?
My team does not rely on weather, it just looks to disrupt the opponents weather.
The 8 speed EVs are speed creep to beat other base 90s with no speed investment :)

Standard scarf Kyogore. With its speed and special bulk, it can counter and check many offensive threats and also acts as a threat itself. Sets up rain if the other team relys on sun/sandstorm. Often Kyogore draws out Ferrothorn, Blissey or some other wall type pokemon, and my forretress can come in and have a field day setting up hazards. Can act as my teams lead.

Mid game Darkrai just to be a bitch. Will often at least sleep an opponents pokemon, and with the new sleep mechanics a sleeping pokemon is pretty much dead weight.

Grass Knot
Rock Arceus is there to counter Ho-oh and Reshiram, two hard to deal with pokemon. It is EVed to reach 307 speed, enough to outrun non-scarfed Reshiram and Ho-oh. Grass knot is there to hit Groudon and Kyogore as they attempt to switch in. Perish song comes in handy a lot vs hard to deal with stat-uppers and the opponents final pokemon.

THREATLIST:

Kyogore: Is checked/countered by Ferrothorn. Using Groudon as a lead generally gets weather up on my side and gets rocks up early to weaken Kyogores water spout. If I find myself up against a Kyogore lead that is slower than my Groudon I may be in a bit of trouble(I generally would sacrifice my Groudon just to hurt it with Earthquake and lower water spouts power or switch to my faster Kyogore which survives and do 70-80% back with thunder), but generally it will be easier to deal with because of its low speed, and slow variants of Kyogore rarely run water spout so Ferrothorn will handle it more easily.
I do consider reducing Groudons speed to minimum, so to ensure i have the sunlight up vs slow Kyogore leads, but I like outrunning 0/4 Spe base 90's.

Rayquaza: Lugia and Groudon handle most variants.

Reshiram: Rock Arceus can handle all its attacks and OHKO with stabbed judgement. Kyogore is specially bulky and changes the weather on Reshiram. Reshiram is weak to all types of entry hazards.

Zekrom: Ferrothorn and Groudon do a number on it, and like Reshiram, Zekrom doesn't fare well against entry hazards.

Giratina-O: Is checked by Kyogore and Arceus. Calm mind variants may prove troublesome, but Giratinas low speed doesn't help it.

Ferrothorn: Groudon nails it with firepunch. Ferrothorn has trouble repeatedly switching into full power water spouts from my scarf Kyogore.

Groudon: Lugia walls it, Kyogore can revenge kill it.

Mewtwo: One of the most difficult pokemon to deal with, but entry hazards and life orb recoil generally give Mewtwo a very tough time. Kyogore is specially bulky and outspeeds Mewtwo with it's choice scarf.

Palkia: Palkia is generally scarfed, and Ferrothorn acts as a decent check. However; many Palkia do know fire blast so sometimes rock Arceus is my best bet. In the rain it is very scary as fire blast still does about 90% to Ferrothorn.

Dialga: Groudon and Lugia

Ho-oh: Kyogore changes the weather on it, and stealth rock shaves off half its hp. Rock Arceus completely walls it and doesn't mind a burn much.

Arceus: Lugia and Groudon counter it, and rock Arceus does ok against it.

Garchomp: Lugia and Groudon

Tyranitar: Groudon counters it, Kyogore changes the weather to rain, and can revenge kill Tyranitar easily by outspeeding it.

Darkrai: If i think it'll be run as the opponents lead, I will lead with scarf Kyogore to fire off Water spout at it before it can do anything. Vs Darkrai I'll absorb sleep, then switch to Kyogore which rapes it. .

This is a pretty solid team from what I see. The only tiny thing I could say is that you should try Dragon Tail over Whirlwind on Lugia. Damaging while phazing is pretty awesome.

The damage it does is pitiful (60 BP, 216 Att stat) and it only has 90% accuracy. I have dragontail on my Groudon, and I have whirlwind on Lugia for when i have to phaze through a sub. That 1/10 when dragon tail misses i'll wish I had whirlwind. I think because dragon tail is a new toy it is a little overrated. Ice beam OHKO's Rayquaza after stealth rock and nearly OHKO's Garchomp, plus it goes first, before the outrage or stone edge. Because Dtail is physical and ice beam is special, it wouldn't be practical to run them both. I choose ice beam and whirlwind over dragontail and toxic. It just comes down to personal preference in the end I think.

I imagine multiscale isn't realeased on Lugia ... too bad... but yes try Dragon tail over Whirlwind on him.
What I don't understand is Palkia: he has both fire and water-types attack, ok ? But you'll ever have either sun or rain, so one of the moves will be weak.

Yeah and depending on the other teams weather inducers i'll never have any idea what the weather will be. Fire blast does very heavy damage on Ferrothorn and Scizor in the rain, and still OHKOs Forretress. It is a standard mixed palkia taken from the smogon strategy guide. In the sun I can use Fire blast, Thunder allows it to counter Kyogore and Surf is a powerful stab in the rain. No matter the weather It has Spacial rend. The fact that I have both weather inducers allows me to dictate the weather.

It seems pretty straight forward to me. I'll explain it for you. The only pokemon spacial rend does not hit for at least neutral damage are steel types. In the sun, fire blast nails steel types. In the rain, surf nails steel types. Stabbed spacial rend is Palkias best bet vs Dialga in either weather.

hey this looks like a great team.

i would personally run a bulky resttalk giratina over palkia since you need a spinblocker, it makes a great wall alongside lugia and can shuffle;

Giratina@Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
Impish nature (+def, -sp.atk)
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spd

~ Rest
~ Sleep Talk
~ Will-O-Wisp / Roar
~ Dragon Tail / Outrage

Ok, you got + points for running Rock Arceus. I could recommend you a spin blocker but I don't see what to replace. I could think that a well played mid game Darkrai is hard to counter specially with some hazards around. How does your team fare against other stall teams? Like Tentacruel and Tspikes? Other than that, maaaaybe RP Groudon can be troublesome if SR is up and Lugia has taken some damage. Good team overall
