Ubers - Kingdra in the rain

Here is my current ubers team. I am currently #30 on the leaderboard under the name Mein Kampf, and still climbing. I wanted to make a team around Kingdra, because he is (in my opinion) one of the best sweepers in the Uber tier.

(Timid) Shaymin-S @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Speed/252 SpAtt/4 HP
- Air Slash
- Seed Flare
- HP Ice
- Endeavor

Scarfed Shaymin-S is the best lead in Ubers, especially when 2/3 of your team hates spikes. Seed Flare is for Groudon/Kyogre, HP Ice is for Rayquaza, and Air Slash is used in all other situations. Endeavor is rarely used, but when I get down to low HP, it can be a nasty surprise for Blissey or Dialga.

(Modest) Kyogre @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 Speed/252 Sp Att/4 HP
- Water Spout
- Surf
- Thunder
- Ice Beam

Kyogre is obviously a must on a Kingdra team. I use a scarf Kyogre so that he doesn't only bring rain for Kingdra, but he also functions as a check for pokemon, especially Groudon, one of the biggest problems for Kingdra.

(Hasty) Palkia @ Haban Berry
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Speed/252 Sp Att/4 Att
- Spacial Rend
- Surf
- Outrage
- Thunder Wave

This is my favorite Palkia. He is a bait-Palkia of sorts. He nets some fun surprise kills on pokemon expecting to outspeed and OHKO him with their own dragon moves, such as Lati@s and Rayquaza, the latter being another big threat to Kingdra. I opted for Thunder Wave over Thunder because Kyogre is not a big problem for my team, and paralysis is my favorite status to spread.

(Calm) Wobbuffet @ Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 28 HP/228 Def/252 Sp Def
- Encore
- Mirror Coat
- Counter
- Safeguard

Standard Wobbuffet is in my team to counter some pokemon that get in my way, mainly scarfers. Another big threat to Kingdra is Dialga, and Wobbuffet is my main answer to him.

(Careful) Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP/252 SpDef/4 Speed
- Wish
- Protect
- Thunder Wave
- Ice Punch/U-turn

This Jirachi is a pain to take down, and with the rain that Kyogre brings, it really only has one weakness. Thunder wave is there to spread status, and wish is really helpful if the other team manages to get spikes or stealth rock up, it's also nice to re-heal Wobbuffet so he can annoy the enemy some more. I have been using Ice Punch recently as an answer to SD Rayquaza, and also for the 20% freeze it comes with.

(Mild) Kingdra @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 80 Att/176 Speed/252 SpAtt
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Outrage
- Waterfall

The main sweeper of the team, Kingdra is able to outspeed every pokemon in ubers with the exception of Rayquaza, and also OHKO nearly all of them. The main trouble pokemon for Kingdra are Groudon, because of the sun he brings, (though he will die to a surf on the switch and then Draco Meteor), Rayquaza because of Air Lock, and Dialga, who Kingdra cannot OHKO. Other than that, Kingdra plows through enemy teams with ease.

Feedback?

hey you say kyogre isnt really an issue but i can see it terrorizing your team when shaymin-s is gone (which is likely because its fragile), because of this i would add thunder on palkia

on jirachi it says you have 252 spec attk evs? i think you just mixed them up there so theres a nitpick.

for kingdra i would change to the dragon dance set. this set is able to outspeed raquaza after a dd plus since you have wobbuffet, i personally think you should use the DD set to abuse wobbuffets ability to encore

overall solid team and gl on ladder

I'm just speaking from experience when it comes to Kyogres. The choice varities can be dealt with by switching to the appropriate counter, and Wobbuffet can kill it off if it uses anything not Water Spout. The calm mind varities tend to get 2HKO'd by Outrage from Palkia.

I might try out the Dragon Dance set, actually, thanks. That sounds like a pretty good idea.

And yes, that jirachi was supposed to have 252 SpDef.
