Hi, I make this post with intention on getting some feedback about the overall team composition, Tera Type and especially distribution of EVs/Nature. Scarlet and Violet introduced a bunch of new moves that as a secondary effect set up hazards, but more importantly gave us Gholdengo. Gholdengo is a very good spin blocker who not only blocks Rapid Spin but also Tidy Up, Mortal Spin and Defog. Having Pokemon set up hazards while attacking at the same time is really good because it gives you tempo in applying pressure on your opponent and makes you immune to taunt. My team lets easily set up every hazard and block rapid spin with 2 ghost Pokemon.
Araquanid @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Bubble
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Atk / 40 Def
Adamant Nature
IVs: 0 SpA
- Sticky Web
- Liquidation
- Leech Life
- Substitute
Araquanids job is mainly to set up sticky web. Liquidation lets him threaten rock types and lower defence in extended fights. Leech Life gives him some sustain. Substitute makes him immune to status moves.
Kleavor @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sharpness
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 0 SpA
- Stone Axe
- U-turn
- Fury Cutter
- Night Slash
Kleavor is the fastest Pokemon on the team, which makes him the teams revenge killer who can also set up Stealth Rock. Stone Axe sets up Stealth Rock and deals decent damage thanks to Sharpness. U-turn lets Kleavor and bring needed Pokemon to the field. Fury Cutter is an interesting move that lets Kleavor sweep without the need for Swords Dance. Night Slash gives him dark coverage and critical hits let him bypass stat changes.
Samurott-Hisui @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sharpness
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
IVs: 0 SpA
- Ceaseless Edge
- Razor Shell
- Sacred Sword
- X-Scissor
This build makes Samurott quite bulky which is needed for him to set up three layers of spikes. Ceaseless Edge lets him set up spikes. Razor Shell makes him hard to wall thanks to 50% chance to lower the target's Defense. Sacred Sword lets him counter opposing Samurott-Hisui and Kingambit. X-Scissor is a bug coverage move.
Glimmora @ Black Sludge
Ability: Toxic Debris
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Power Gem
- Sludge Wave
- Mortal Spin
- Earth Power
Glimmora has 2 roles removing hazards and spreading poison, wich powers up Hex for Gholdengo and Sinistcha. Power Gem is the strongest Special rock type move beside Meteor Beam. Sludge Wave helps the team with poison coverage. Mortal Spin removes hazards and poisons the target. Earth Power threatens opposing Glimmora.
Gholdengo @ Air Balloon
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 196 Def / 60 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hex
- Thunder Wave
- Recover
- Make It Rain
Gholdengos role is to block Rapid Spin and tank physical threats. Hex becomes the strongest ghost type attack, against opponents inflicted with status condition, spread by himself and his teammates. Thunder Wave lets him slow down the opponent and deal more damage with Hex. Recover lets him stay longer in a fight. Make It Rain is a powerfull steel type stab.
Sinistcha @ Leftovers
Ability: Heatproof
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Matcha Gotcha
- Hex
- Strength Sap
Sinistcha is the teams special attack sweeper, which becomes unstoppable with his team support. Calm Mind increases his damage and lets him wall Pokemon that use special attacks. Matcha Gotcha heals based on the damage delt and has a 20% chance to burn the target. Hex becomes the strongest ghost type attack, against opponents inflicted with status condition, spread by himself and his teammates. Strength Sap lowers the opponents Attack and heals him, making it hard to get rid of him with physical atacks.
Hope you like my team, any suggestion for improvements are welcome.
